The hotel's location and environment are excellent, especially the rooftop infinity pool with its breathtaking views of the Mekong River. However, the strong smell of renovation in the rooms, especially those not facing the sun, was quite off-putting. As the second highest-rated luxury hotel in Vientiane, I'd hope they'd provide an air purifier in every room in the future. Placing them in public areas on each floor seems pointless. The air purifier on the fifth floor had a broken motor, creating an extremely loud noise, and it was never replaced. Additionally, the hotel's smart control system was very uncomfortable to use. The panel lacks proximity sensors, making it invisible at night. Voice control is also far away, and the system often glitches; pressing the panel at night would even turn on the TV. The air conditioning in the room worked very well, but the lobby air conditioning was poor. Also, the exquisite teapot only holds one bottle of water, and it overflows when boiled.

Guest UserThis hotel deserves a perfect 10/10! Traveling with kids is so much easier when you pick the right hotel. The staff were incredibly thoughtful and welcoming, always offering help proactively. Our room was spacious with plenty of natural light, and the cleanliness was exceptional – even the corners were spotless. Dining and shopping options are conveniently close by, yet the area is quiet and peaceful. The breakfast had a good variety and tasted great, especially the freshly made Lao rice noodles, which were delicious. Our entire stay was comfortable and worry-free. I highly recommend it for families!

TobyasClean and good quality hotel.
On the downside, the air conditioning let a large puddle of water inside when it started to rain outside.
At breakfast, where we arrived half an hour before it was due to end, the hot food had run out.
The picture shows all the protein I could find in the thermal bath. There wasn't even an omelet or eggs available in the open kitchen.

A solid little stay: nothing flashy, but it delivers where it counts. The room is clean, bright, and quiet, with TV, AC, a hairdryer, a fridge, water and toiletries included. Staff are friendly and easy to deal with.
Breakfast is simple: eggs, toast and coffee/tea. Not a buffet spread, but a nice enough start to the day. The bus station is around a 12-minute walk.
A few things to note: there's no elevator and the stairs are quite steep, checkout is at 11:00, and the pillows are a bit flat. Not major issues, but good to know.
Overall, good value for the price. Would recommend for travellers who just need a clean, quiet room without any fuss

Guest UserA cheap stay, good for our one night only. Room had no natural light and the lights flickered. Bathrooms were fine and mostly tidy, shared with everyone else. No shampoo or body wash in shower and no towel provided. Breakfast was fine, bread and some potatoes with egg. Super central to the night market and close enough to the Mekong. Good stay for the one night only.

Facilities: It's an older hotel with a unique, artistic design. The Wi-Fi speed was also decent.
Cleanliness: The room was very clean.
Environment: Not far from the Arc de Triomphe, a quick tuk-tuk ride gets you there.
Service: Breakfast was good, with a wide variety of options. They offer laundry service, and while there's usually a charge for multiple items, they did my single item for free, which was a pleasant surprise! As soon as I entered, a staff member offered me a glass of orange juice, which showed great customer service. The front desk lady was very lovely and polite to guests, and she had a real sparkle in her eyes! 😁

The room was average, and so was the service. The environment and hygiene were decent, but the efficiency was poor. They missed my scheduled airport pick-up, and I couldn't get through to them on the phone!

Guest UserMy stay at Vientiane Tiangai Hotel truly exceeded expectations; the experience was fantastic! The hotel has its own swimming pool, the water is clean, and after a good swim, relaxing on the nearby lounge chairs was incredibly comfortable. The view from the room window was absolutely stunning – expansive cityscapes during the day and beautiful night views in the evening, making every photo look great.
The location couldn't be better; transportation is super convenient. Taxis and public transport make getting anywhere very easy, no hassle at all for sightseeing. The biggest surprise was how close it is to the night market; just a few minutes' walk. It was super convenient to grab some snacks after dinner.
The room was spotlessly clean, the bed was soft and comfortable, and the environment was quiet and peaceful. The front desk staff were very friendly and check-in was quick. Being able to enjoy the pool and views, while also having such convenient access to shopping and attractions, makes it perfect for both tourists and short stays. It offers great value for money, and I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in the area. Highly recommend!

Guest UserThe hotel's location is decent, with a Big C supermarket nearby, which is convenient for dining and shopping. However, the breakfast is very mediocre, not living up to its Ctrip 5-diamond rating or its self-proclaimed 4-star Great Wall brand. I'm not sure how hotels outside of China can be rated by domestic Chinese star standards; it clearly seems like a self-awarded brand. There was a power outage in my room in the middle of the night. After dawn at 6 AM, I realized only my room had no power while other areas did. The phone was broken, so I had to walk to the front desk to request a repair. By 8 AM, no one had come to fix it, and the response I received was that the maintenance staff hadn't woken up yet. The room had a strong smell, clearly from long-term smoking. It improved slightly after turning on the air conditioning, but it still felt unpleasant. The hotel's hardware could be on par with a 4-star domestic Chinese hotel, but it's poorly maintained, and the staff's service is subpar, a far cry from the 'Dream South' service slogan. I will definitely not choose this hotel again, nor any other hotel under the 'Dream South' brand.
