Posted on May 12, 2025|Xin Meng Deluxe Family Room (Starry Night Lighting + Child's Bathrobe + 65-inch TV With Projection)
Jiafeibushimao~miaoLocation📍The hotel is right at the entrance of Shajiabang Scenic Area. It belongs to Huazhu Club with the Huajianting next door. The two share a courtyard. The children's playground of Manxinfu is also in the Huajianting next door. There is another Huazhu Club in the scenic area with a better price.
Service: Smooth check-in, quick response, and children's toiletries and slippers are provided
Facilities: The meal provided by the package is rich in variety. Coffee and bread coupons were given although they were not used. The family package in the package has a separate group purchase of 298, which tastes good. Breakfast is until 10 o'clock on weekends, with many choices and few Western styles.
Let me talk about the points that I don't agree with:
The fruit platter written in the 298 family package in the package was originally prepared to be packed, but the waiter asked if there were only 4 slices of watermelon. Haha, this platter...
If you book a calendar room directly, you can upgrade the room, check out late, give souvenirs, and send bird watching coupons. There are none of them redeemed with group purchases. Bird watching coupons need to be bought by yourself for 50 per person😓

In the past 12 months, I have stayed in over 80 hotels around the world. More than 60 in China. Many of them are positively memorable.
The Mehoud perhaps tops all of them in terms of unexpected delight.
Physically the hotel is a design bonanza. Recently opened, inspiring u architectural details and finishes are evident throughout.
Amenities are excellent. Luxury bath robes and bath towels, small gym with good weights, a pool, laundry machines...
It is one of the few hotels with balconies and terraces allowing access to fresh air
However, its greatest asset is undoubtedly the management and staff.
The general manager seems extraordinary. Sometimes tending the coffee shop, greeting guests in the restaurant, and roaming the hotel.
Wait staff go out of their way to accommodate guests, and so many speak at least a little bit of English

Guest UserHad a wonderful stay here! My friend recommended it, and I booked for the May Day holiday. It's super close to Shanghu Scenic Area, just a left turn to Gate 2. The hotel grounds are beautiful, and the service is excellent. You can even take a shuttle car to your room. Our ground-floor room came with a small courtyard and a spacious bay window, which was lovely and made the room feel huge. The bathroom had a great wet/dry separation, and the shower area was quite large and comfortable. Breakfast quality was good, especially the Changshu mushroom oil noodles and the unique mango sago buns. The only minor letdown was the coffee quality, which wasn't quite up to 5-star hotel standards – a slight disappointment. In the evening, there was an outdoor bonfire party and sweet soup provided. Lunch and dinner were also good, and guests get an 8.5% discount. The hotel offers plenty of activities; it was really relaxing to enjoy the hotel after a hike up Yushan.

XinjingzhishuiThis hotel is located in the High-tech Zone of Changshu City, and right next to Aeon Mall, a convenient shopping complex. Across the street, there's a fresh market and small shops like Noodle Master and Luckin Coffee. There's also a FamilyMart convenience store right inside the hotel, which is super handy.
It's not too far from major attractions, generally within 8-12 km, including Fangta Park, Tongjiang Road Street, Yinxian Street, Yanyuan Garden, Changshu Museum, Yushan Mountain, and Shanghu Lake Scenic Area. For dining, you have options like Xilongji, Bainian Tonghe, Wang Laosi Fried Noodle Restaurant, and the Guangyuyuan Museum.
Both the service and environment at the hotel are excellent. The breakfast offers a rich and diverse selection, blending Chinese and Western styles, and even features local specialties like mushroom oil noodles. They provide both above-ground and underground parking with charging stations. The only minor inconvenience is the circulation path for parking; otherwise, it's fantastic!

The room was clean and tidy. The hotel is right across from the Qinhu Xili commercial center, offering a wide variety of dining options. The service was also very friendly, and the breakfast was quite varied. We decided to stay in a nearby hotel because we couldn't book a room we liked at the Hilton in Changshu at the last minute, and the price exceeded our expectations for such a good hotel.

Overall, I was pleased with this hotel. It’s in a central part of Changshu, has English signs all over the hotel, and someone at the desk spoke English. My room was nice with a comfortable bed and good bathroom. The hallway smelled like a mixture of perfume and cigarette smoke. Breakfast was very unexceptional and very Chinese (the baozis were not very good 🙁). Overall, I would still stay here again.

The hotel is a very nice, charming complex comprising a renovated ancient house, making it an unusual place to stay. The location is unexpected: tucked behind some regular buildings. Inside it is very pretty and nicely designed and the room has nice amenities. Things I noticed that were slightly negative: the floor in the room was not very clean; the breakfast is pretty and nice done but still, is simply a fancy zhou and they couldn’t make me a coffee; there is very little noise isolation so we were woken up by noisy families at 8am when we were trying to lie-in. Overall I would recommend it for sure but a clean floor and slightly cheaper nightly price would help a lot.

Guest UserI go to Changshu once a year on business and stay at this hotel every time. Overall, it is very cost-effective. Compared with other high-end hotels, there is not much difference in hardware facilities, but maybe because it is not a chain hotel, it is more flexible in all aspects and the service is good. The girls at the front desk are polite and patient. I have seen the young man working the night shift a few times. The second person is quite handsome, but his voice is a bit soft. Maybe he is a bit shy and will lower his head when talking to female guests.
What I am most satisfied with about this hotel is the breakfast. I was quite satisfied with it when I came here two years ago, because the room at this price comes with free breakfast. I thought it was a simple breakfast at first, but I didn't expect that the variety is very rich, and it is not a problem for most people to eat enough. This time I came and found that the breakfast had been upgraded again, which was great! It's better than spending more than 50 bucks for breakfast in other hotels.
Of course, the hotel is not perfect. There is a restaurant, pharmacy and ear picking shop downstairs. It can be a bit noisy in the afternoon and you have to close the windows. It is quite quiet at night when you sleep.

The service was warm and welcoming, the facilities were complete, and the place was clean and tidy. A room became available at the last minute, and the owner upgraded it for free. While chatting in the courtyard, the staff busied themselves providing tea, snacks, mosquito coils, and ambient lighting – everything was provided. Our travel plans were changed to simply enjoying tea, admiring the osmanthus blossoms, and chatting because the courtyard was so tranquil. Five-star recommendation!

Came to Changshu again, twice from Shanghai in 10 days. The Southeast Night Market is extremely popular, and Tianming's price/performance ratio is as high as ever. But just ignore the breakfast, as there are a lot of elderly groups from Shanghai in the morning.
