Hotels with Breakfast in Brussels

So close but not so far from the old town or maybe the attractions which is good, if you’re staying inside around the grand palace, it may get noisy so this place is really in a good place so location is very strategic 😘 From the train station (Midi Station), 2 stops away and you can walk to the hotel easily 🫶🏻 This hotel is kinda old so it gives off the old vibes but you got what you need and breakfast is good 😄 everybody is so welcoming ~ if you’re in a budget and still want a good hotel to stay, here is the place 👍🏻 thank you 🫰🏻

We checked in early and got a room right away, which was great because I wasn't feeling well and could rest immediately. The bed was very comfortable, and I slept really well. There's a large shopping mall across the street, and it's only a 15-minute walk along the shopping street to the Old Town, where you'll find attractions like Manneken Pis and the City Hall.

The Standard Hotel in Brussels is located in the Northern Quarter, an area characterized by government buildings, offices, and a large number of 60s and 70s office blocks, making it sparsely populated. The hotel cleverly utilizes this somewhat cold, stark modernist urban backdrop by injecting color, warmth, abundant greenery, and local Brussels creative culture. The interiors were designed by Belgian architect Bernard Dubois. He masterfully blends design languages from different periods of the 20th century: from Art Deco, American and Belgian modernism, to postmodernism and the 80s. Warm wood finishes, 1930s-style carpets, and circular and arched structures are interspersed throughout, creating a retro yet timelessly chic look. The hotel also showcases numerous works by local Belgian artists. The most prominent piece at the entrance is Jan Janssens' ceramic sculpture, 'The Dance.' Jan often explores the human position within urban systems through figures and giant city architecture. 🙋🏾♀️One pro: It's absolutely beautiful! 😌One con: It's in a business district, so there aren't many restaurants or supermarkets nearby, which can be a bit inconvenient at night.

It is a new hotel next to Brussels-Midi station. The decor is very modern. The staffs are super friendly. The room is clean and comfortable. I really enjoyed it. They have a small cafe in the lobby and there are many place to hang out. There is also a small gym in the basement which is quite nice. Overall, it was a good stay.

This hotel is really old... Don't let the five-star rating fool you, it feels more like a three-star. The elevator is incredibly slow, from 1999! The furniture in the room is also very dated. The front desk sells bottled water in glass bottles for 8 euros a pop – ridiculous. As our Belgian client told us, the hotel's location is right between a safe area and an unsafe one. It's close to the light rail, but there's no elevator from the light rail station to the street level, which is quite annoying. Walking to the city center is fairly convenient though. For the price, it offers good value for money; other hotels in the same area are more expensive.

Hotel was clean, convenient. I love how big and spacious our room was and it had aircondition and a bath tub. It made us want to enjoy the hotel as well. The complementary was great. Will recommend

The hotel is very nice and modern. The staffs are helpful and friendly. The room is spacious and clean. The only problem is the location. It is not located in the touristy area. There is no easy public transportation to the grand place except by bus or taxi/uber. Walking to grand place takes around 30 mins passing through Brussels Park and Royal Palace. The positive point is that the area where the hotel is located is very quiet.

The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic, right near Brussels' Grand Place – literally a two-minute walk away. There are tons of restaurants and shops nearby, making it super convenient. The room itself was surprisingly spacious, which is a rare find in Europe, and the facilities were great. Having a kettle was a huge plus for us. We stayed for two nights, and the steak restaurant directly across from the hotel entrance was amazing – delicious and not expensive, so it was incredibly convenient to grab a meal right outside. Overall, this hotel offers excellent value for money and I highly recommend it!

This hotel is really close to the FlixBus station, which is great if you're taking a lot of buses. It's a bit of a walk to the train station, about 15 minutes. There are two small restaurants right across the street, but not much else around since it's on a corner. Overall, it's pretty good and a decent stay.

Plus: The room is really big. So is the bed. It is so big that makes me think as if it is king size bed to house politicians or prime minister from the 80s, 90s. There is heating both in the room and in the shower There is air con set in the room( but I didn't try to see if it works) This hotel is located less than 10 mins walk from Brussels north station Minus The room look really old. May be 90s, if not 80s. There is no carpet on the floor. It is really clean but it is really cold to step on. Bring your own slippers. The room is dim. And some lights were spoilt. Even if was told it is a non smoking room, the room has lingering smoking smell. Someone smoked in this room before. I told the front desk, he said he will check but when I return from the city , the smell is there still. The bathroom has some odd smell. May b smell of roaches, or roaches in the pipes. The shower curtain smell of mould and damp cloth/ damp laundry. The heating stop around 2am. May b there is max amount of heating one room could use. Make sure you time your heating usage carefully. The wall is really thin. You can hear when someone is around the lift, going towards their room or what next door is up to. I can hear everything happening outside, on the street, from police car n siren rushing up and down, to people wondering on the street, their conversation. I don't feel safe here. I can't relax and sleep. I don't like the paper cup given together with coffee and the place to brush teeth. May be the hotel suffer too often from being stolen . But that make the hotel rating dropping from 1star hotel to guest house. The toilet spoilt in the middle of the night and you can hear water flowing all night. Need to maneuver with the old school toilet pull button . I appreciate the effort they maintain it but personally I don't like it. unless you have really early bus or train to catch, and is on a shoe string budget then it is your choice.
