Hotels with Bars in Samarkand

Movenpick is the most cost-effective among the 5 hotels/guest houses we stayed in throughout Uzbekistan. The location is excellent, located at the junction of the old city and the new city, so it is very convenient to go to any attractions! The room was big and clean. Breakfast is very rich! The only drawback is that the swimming pool is very thin and is suitable for children to play in. In addition, the lockers in the locker rooms are not installed and are almost unusable😅 I only found one that can be locked.

The room is very comfortable and clean. The hotel environment is very good. For example, the city attractions are a bit far, but there is an hourly shuttle. The hotel is next to the river and there is a small shopping mall next to it.

Excellent hotel. Thank you very much to all the hotel employees, everyone was extremely friendly and polite with us: reception workers, restaurant workers, as well as maids. Special thanks to the girls from the reception: they recommended places to visit in the city, any questions were resolved very quickly. The hotel is located a little far from the city, which is an advantage for us: the air is very clean, and we sleep well, because... no noise from streets and highways. Beautiful view from the window; in the evenings we walked along the canal and enjoyed nature. Delicious breakfast!

Nice, clean Hotel. Friendly, co-operative staff and management! walking distance from Registan square. We, a party of 7, were well received. Our rooms were ready and we were ushered in to our rooms in no time. The rooms well-maintained. The Hotel recently built has an air of freshness about it. Front desk and other staff very friendly and cooperative. No ask too big (or small). Breakfast can’t be classed as lavish, but was healthy and they had variety of options to cater to every type of food requirement. When the kitchen staff learnt we were vegetarian, they had additional options for us following morning. Overall, a great and comfortable stay in a warm, friendly place

Incomplete description of the rooms: No window in the standard! No window is specified! The interior window comes out into the corridor, it is glued with a film passing the light. Black-out curtains are not available, so they slept under a bright corridor lamp, which is installed opposite the pseudo window and lights directly into the room. With the light in the hotel trouble: powerful cold spectrum lights are installed everywhere, the light in the room - as in the operating room, in 10 minutes starts to break the eyes. Light is burning everywhere and even on sunny day: on breakfast (though panoramic windows are here), corridors, stairs. The safe in the room didn't work. The bathroom requires repair: water is badly left, over a tiny shelter, over which it is impossible to wash, there is no shelf for the equipment. Of the pluses: good location, all new (but for allergic: there is a smell of new coatings that somehow try to silence with flavourers: the smell in the corridors as in the sinks). The room has a TV screen, but there is no TV, only Internet access. Breakfast is common for Uzbekistan except for the layout of fruit: dolls of mandarin and apples, ungenerously stretched on one plate. Plus: a coffee machine that rarely exists here. Our mistake: we booked directly. I advise through the booking sites: tc it is any leverage of influence on the hotel, interested in reviews and ratings. And directly: When you check in, we will learn that the room is without a window. Who to complain? ! Nobody. The room category was refused, although the hotel had only 6 rooms. That is, if booking is the most expensive type of room and not allergic.

After a few rough nights at a Soviet hotel, words can’t describe how happy I was to see this hotel. The male receptionist was very welcoming when I arrived as he let me check in a bit earlier after a train ride. The breakfast fulfilled my needs as they have fresh fruits, vegetables, yoghurt, eggs, coffee… no complaint. The guy working at the breakfast area was also very helpful. After I finished gym, I went up there. He immediately asked me if I needed water. It shows that he’s attentive. I felt happy staying there. The reason I booked it was the gym. As an active person, I need to work out on my travels. The gym is not fully equipped but it provides with the basics such as a treadmill, a bike and weights. Location wise, it’s not in the center of the tourist spot but it’s walking distance. It took me 15 min to get to Registan. Don’t worry though as Samarkand is pedestrian friendly.

When booking, you cannot select a bed for a child. In the hotel booking system, they see the room as for two, because children are not taken into account in their system, but at the same time you have to pay extra for the child’s bed at the hotel, although it would be more convenient to pay immediately when booking. The three of us and a 14-year-old child were accommodated in a double room. But nearby there is a town with restaurants and built. Streets near the old town. The hotel is located outside of Samarkand. There were also difficulties in calling a taxi, they told us one price, then they saw the luggage and the taxi driver added another 40%.

La atención del recepcionista de noche fue genial, nos cedió un upgrade, habitación amplia y confortable que abandonamos a las 3 a.m., desgraciadamente, pero repito la amabilidad del recepcionista a la entrada y a la salida pidiendo un taxi para nosotros para el aeropuerto, fantástico.
