Amazing
FFAN_CI really like TIAD's decor, which is why I chose it over a very well-located Marriott. It's right above a subway exit. To get to Nagoya JR Station, you need to transfer twice, so a taxi is more convenient, costing between 1900-2200 JPY. The hotel's amenities are outstanding, including a Bioprogramming hairdryer (though only 4D). They provide London EH toiletries, and the bedding is incredibly comfortable. There's even underfloor heating in front of the sink. Overall, the experience was great, but the turndown service could be a bit more attentive.

GGuest UserWe had such a nice experience here that we booked a second time for our return trip to our home country 🙃 Even the check-in counter staff recognized us😅 It was a really pleasant stay for our tired bodies from the traveling. Location is spot on and very convenient. We love that it is located at the Nagoya train station which makes it very easy access to the places we were getting to. Thank you so much for the warm welcome and attentive service.

LLingxiaodaoGinThe location is excellent! You can take the airport bus directly to the last stop. It's just one stop away from Nagoya Station and Sakae Station. It's an older, established hotel with a lot of character. I had a packed schedule so I didn't get to explore it much, which is a bit of a shame. The room type I had was very spacious, and the amenities were complete. The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, and the cleaning was meticulous. The mini-bar items were complimentary. I stayed for three days and was very satisfied. The only minor drawback is that the soundproofing isn't great; I could hear conversations from the next room. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Nagoya.

AAnonymous UserHere's why this hotel stands out:
1. **Perfect Location**: Directly across the river from Nagoya Castle, offering stunning day views and beautiful nighttime light shows from the rooms and terrace. It's also within walking distance to the subway station, and the hotel provides shuttle service.
2. **Design & Art**: The hotel blends modern architecture with Japanese elements, featuring over 400 pieces of art throughout. The private gardens are elegant, and some room types even come with private onsen baths, allowing for a truly relaxing soak with castle views.
3. **Dining & Service**: Boasts 9 high-end restaurants, including some with Michelin-starred chefs. The afternoon tea and specialty cocktails receive rave reviews. Service is impeccable, with attentive assistance for luggage, reservations, and multi-lingual reception. Top-notch facilities include a swimming pool, onsen, sauna, and gym.
LLLLjiushiLLLThe room was very clean and, for a Japanese hotel, a decent size. The location is absolutely superb, with the station and a department store right downstairs. It's convenient for getting anywhere. The overall facilities and hardware are great. However, when I tried to drop off my luggage before check-in, I encountered a Japanese man at the front desk who was noticeably rude to guests. He had narrow eyes, a slightly round face, wasn't too short, and had slicked-back hair. I'm not sure if it was intentional (in Japan, hotels are in the 'hospitality' industry, and trained staff usually wouldn't act that way; I've been to Japan numerous times and this is the first time someone returned my passport face down and upside down). Anyway, his Japanese was also delivered in a 'slow and deliberate' manner, almost sarcastically (imagine the tone of an 'eunuch' by the emperor's side in a palace). He completely lacked the professionalism expected in the service industry. When I officially checked in, it was a different story with an older Korean man who spoke Japanese; his attitude was completely different. I'd advise friends checking in to avoid that first individual. The cleaning staff I saw were all foreign workers and their attitude was excellent. Due to its great location and facilities, the hotel's business is surely doing well.

Great
GGuest UserExcellent value for over 1600. The front desk staff spoke good English and gave us a room with a view facing Legoland. The hotel facilities are very kid-friendly, and the restaurant serves food that children love. Don't forget to open the safe in your room – it comes with a bag of LEGO toys! For dining, I recommend the street behind the hotel, Maker's Pier, which offers a wide variety of choices. The hotel also has a children's pool where kids can play and even build their own life raft. Be sure to book in advance; reservations for the afternoon or evening slots open at 12 PM, and each session is 30 minutes long. There's also a small children's playground next to the restaurant.
SShenshenqiqibudonglaoshiAfter a month and a half, I flew to Nagoya again and chose to stay at the Hilton once more. This time, I got a really good deal on the room, I'm not sure why. Even though it was closer to Christmas and the annual conference season, and the hotel occupancy was much higher than in late October, the price was over 300 RMB cheaper per night compared to my stay then. Overall, there's not much new to say about the hotel; it's not my first review. The room is very spacious, and the location is super convenient for getting around and transportation.

Great
GGuest UserI recently enjoyed a fantastic stay at the Courtyard by Marriott Nagoya Hotel, and I want to highlight some exceptional service that made our visit memorable.
Thoughtful Amenities
The welcome ice cream for my sons was a delightful surprise. It was a thoughtful gesture that made them feel special and added to our overall positive experience.
Duty Manager Mr. Andei Ho
One standout moment of our visit was when Mr. Andei Ho, the Duty Manager, came to assist us during one of our evenings at the hotel. Being a Hongkonger himself, he made us feel right at home. When we returned from a day out and needed to store some belongings at the concierge, Mr. Andei approached us and warmly communicated in Cantonese. His friendly demeanor and willingness to help truly made us feel welcomed.
Proactive Assistance
After our check-out, Mr. Andei noticed us trying to call an Uber in the lobby and proactively offered to help by calling a taxi instead. Given that we had too much luggage, he went above and beyond by marking the pick-up and drop-off locations for us at the Airport Express Station, ensuring a smooth departure. One day, he saw us waiting outside for a taxi and proactively asked a colleague to come over and see if we needed help calling a taxi.
Housekeeping
I would also like to commend the housekeeping team for their outstanding work. They kept our room impeccably clean and tidy throughout our stay, greatly contributing to our comfort.
Summary
In summary, my experience at the Courtyard by Marriott Nagoya was fantastic, thanks to the outstanding service from Mr. Andei Ho and the entire staff, including the diligent housekeeping team. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the area, and I look forward to returning in the future!

Very Good
Cchrissy_gohI liked that this hotel was conveniently located about a 10-15 minute walk from the Nagoya station, so it was easy to access the train, and there were convenience stores that were easily accessible. The room was decently sized, and it comfortably fits two people in the room. I would definitely recommend it to others and stay at this hotel again in the future!
