Location = almost unbeatable * Directly connected to Nagoya Station * Huge time saver (especially with luggage) * Surrounded by: * malls, food, convenience stores 2. Clean, modern, efficient * Rooms are: * very clean * well-maintained Rooms are small (typical Japan) * Don’t expect space * If you have: * big luggage → slightly annoying 3. GGuest UserTransportation: Super convenient. I took a bus directly from Nagoya Airport to Sakae, and it was just two streets away. The hotel is located in the Chunichi Building, which makes shopping, sightseeing, and dining incredibly easy. You can even go up to the 7th floor observation deck to see Nagoya Tower. Facilities: Since I only stayed one night, I didn't have time to experience the public bath. However, I did go to the gym in the morning. It has 2 treadmills, a stationary bike, and a chest press machine. All the equipment, which is Technogym, was very well-maintained. Ambiance: The decor is very modern. The room wasn't large, but it was compact and had everything I needed, including many 'mystery' switches! The view from the room was amazing, directly overlooking the Central Park green space. Service: The front desk staff member spoke good English and was very kind. All the staff provided excellent, typical Japanese service. I look forward to staying here again on my next trip to Nagoya.

GGuest UserThis hotel has an excellent location — right in front of Hisayaodori Subway Station Exit 4, which made getting around extremely convenient. There’s also a 7-Eleven just next door, and right behind the hotel is a lively district filled with restaurants, cafés, bars, supermarkets, and malls. It connects directly to Oasis and Sakae, so everything is within easy walking distance. I chose a shower-only room since I rarely use a bathtub. The sink being located outside the bathroom was actually a plus for me, as it provided better lighting for makeup. The room also had a large window, which made the space feel more open and comfortable. One of the main reasons I didn’t use the shower much is because the hotel has a really nice public bath. It’s very comfortable, with both indoor and semi-outdoor areas. I absolutely loved this facility — it was definitely one of the highlights of my stay. The hotel also collaborates with a luggage courier service that can send your suitcase to a building next to Nagoya Station (not directly inside the station), which is very convenient. I booked a room with breakfast, and although the selection was simple, everything tasted really good. There were real, hearty dishes, soup, some Western options, as well as desserts, coffee, and tea — all complete and very comforting. Some of the menu items also changed daily, which I really appreciated. I was very happy with the food overall. The lobby is beautiful, with high ceilings, large windows, and very comfortable sofas. The staff were generally helpful, but I did encounter one issue. Aside from 2 staff members (who I believe may have been of Indian descent), the Japanese staff did not speak English. While I understand this can happen, I think having basic English skills would be very helpful, especially since this hotel accommodates many international guests. When I asked about the luggage courier service, I felt like I was being passed around between staff. Another staff member came out to assist, but unfortunately, they also did not speak English and did not attempt to use a translation app. Instead, they tried to explain using pen and paper, which made the situation quite confusing. I felt there was very little effort to communicate clearly, which was a bit frustrating. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It has great facilities and an unbeatable location. I hope the communication aspect can be improved, as I would definitely stay here again when visiting Nagoya. Thank you!

KKen SooI stayed at Comfort Inn Nagoya Sakae for 2 nights, during my trip and overall had a good experience. The location is very convenient, within walking distance to Sakae station, shopping areas, and many restaurants. The room was clean and comfortable, Like most business hotels in Japan, the room size is a bit small, but it was still manageable for two people with luggage. The staff were polite and helpful, and the check-in process was smooth. The hotel also felt quiet and safe at night, which made the stay more comfortable. Overall, it is a good value hotel with a great location in Nagoya. I would recommend it for travelers who want a clean and convenient place to stay in the Sakae area.

KkellyAbout a ten-minute walk from Nagoya Station, which is quite convenient. The room was just right, though the bathroom was a tiny bit small. There's a FamilyMart nearby, but when I went later in the day, all the large bottles of water were gone! They have self-service luggage storage, which is super handy. The front desk staff were really friendly and helped me send a package, which solved a problem for me. There's a QR code you can scan to arrange luggage transfer between two hotels, or you can ask the front desk for a shipping label to send parcels to other addresses. I also discovered a super delicious Vietnamese restaurant nearby!

GGuest UserI recently enjoyed a fantastic stay at the Courtyard by Marriott Nagoya Hotel, and I want to highlight some exceptional service that made our visit memorable. Thoughtful Amenities The welcome ice cream for my sons was a delightful surprise. It was a thoughtful gesture that made them feel special and added to our overall positive experience. Duty Manager Mr. Andei Ho One standout moment of our visit was when Mr. Andei Ho, the Duty Manager, came to assist us during one of our evenings at the hotel. Being a Hongkonger himself, he made us feel right at home. When we returned from a day out and needed to store some belongings at the concierge, Mr. Andei approached us and warmly communicated in Cantonese. His friendly demeanor and willingness to help truly made us feel welcomed. Proactive Assistance After our check-out, Mr. Andei noticed us trying to call an Uber in the lobby and proactively offered to help by calling a taxi instead. Given that we had too much luggage, he went above and beyond by marking the pick-up and drop-off locations for us at the Airport Express Station, ensuring a smooth departure. One day, he saw us waiting outside for a taxi and proactively asked a colleague to come over and see if we needed help calling a taxi. Housekeeping I would also like to commend the housekeeping team for their outstanding work. They kept our room impeccably clean and tidy throughout our stay, greatly contributing to our comfort. Summary In summary, my experience at the Courtyard by Marriott Nagoya was fantastic, thanks to the outstanding service from Mr. Andei Ho and the entire staff, including the diligent housekeeping team. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the area, and I look forward to returning in the future!

HHeiko SchulerStylish hotel, nice designed room, very friendly staff, good english skill at reception and at restaurant. Restaurant mainly serve western inspired dishes in good quality, little higher priced but ok for the environment of the hotel. Japanese style breakfast, semi-buffet, not too much choice but enough to stadt the day. To Sakake its a 20 min walk, to train station its a 10 min walk. Nearby loads of eateries offering good choice of local favorites. Overall, a save recommendation.

AAnonymous UserWhenever I travel to and from Central Japan International Airport, I always stay here. It's close to the station, offers a free breakfast with a good variety, and even has complimentary welcome drinks after noon. It's my preferred hotel near the station, less than a 10-minute walk away. I'll definitely stay here again next time.

GGuest UserIt was an interesting experience. It was very similar to an old-style Chinese guesthouse or a Hong Kong-style dormitory. There was a public bathhouse, but no WiFi upstairs. You just had to put your key in the keyhole when you left the room. No one checked out. The check-in was handled by very old grandmas, which you don't see in other hotels. But it was still very clean. The sheets and quilts were disposable and there was no smell, which was much better than in China. There were sockets. I left early the next morning and just had a good sleep. It was still quite comfortable. The house had an air-raid shelter, which was quite interesting.
