"Hotel is good location sitting close to the Nagoya Station. Service basically was good except ehrn checking, the computer system was down and took long time to enter to the room. The restaurant was quite fully and making table reservation as hotel guest was hopeless. Hotel staff are friendly and very helpful. Will come back but probably need to book bigger room."

One of the biggest conveniences is the FamilyMart located on the ground floor, which is perfect for grabbing snacks, drinks, or daily necessities at any time. The room was clean and comfortable, although it was relatively small, which is typical for many hotels in Japan. Despite the compact size, the room was well-organized and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The hotel provides a variety of amenities, which guests can conveniently pick up from the lobby according to their needs. This is both practical and environmentally friendly. Overall, this is a great hotel for travelers looking for a clean, convenient, and comfortable stay near Nagoya Station."

"The hotel's location is unbeatable, right above the JR station, which is super convenient. Takashimaya is right next door and directly connected to the hotel building, making travel incredibly easy! Although we booked the largest room, it didn't feel that big, possibly because of a pillar in a corner of the room. The curtains in the room had to be pulled manually, which felt a bit outdated. Finally, I have to complain about the hotel's terrible soundproofing. Even though we were placed on the highest floor, our room was in the worst possible spot, directly facing the blower of the building across the street. It was running 24 hours a day and was incredibly noisy, especially at night, making it very difficult to sleep. For such a high-end hotel, the soundproofing was surprisingly poor… The hotel later offered to move us to a quieter room on the other side, but we had several suitcases unpacked, and it was too much hassle to repack, so we declined. We had already requested a quiet room when checking in, yet we were still given a noisy room directly facing the blower. I wonder if this was directed at Chinese tourists or the Ctrip platform."

"This hotel boasts an excellent location. From Central Japan International Airport, you can take the Meitetsu Line directly to Nagoya Station, and the hotel is just about 600 meters from the exit. There are three major convenience stores nearby – 7-Eleven, FamilyMart, and Lawson – and a large Aeon supermarket about 800 meters away, making dining, living, and getting around incredibly convenient. Compared to other hotels, a 19-square-meter room is considered quite spacious here, and it's clean and tidy. Check-in was very easy, and for check-out, you just insert your card into the machine. Overall, it's a hotel with great value for money."

"Overall, my stay at Vessel Inn Sakae Ekimae was quite satisfactory. The hotel's location is incredibly convenient, just a few minutes' walk from Sakae Station, with plenty of dining, shopping, and convenience stores nearby – very traveler-friendly. While the room wasn't spacious, it was well-designed and made efficient use of the space, feeling clean and tidy throughout. The bed was comfortable, and the toiletries provided were quite comprehensive, meeting all basic daily needs. Soundproofing was decent; I wasn't noticeably disturbed during the night."

"My main goal for this trip was to get some good rest, so I specifically chose a room on the side away from the main road and booked a more expensive top-floor room. Before checking in, I even requested a corner room, hoping to have no neighbors on either side, but the hotel said they couldn't arrange it, which I totally understood. In terms of soundproofing, if you're on the top floor and not facing the road, it's genuinely very quiet overall. With the windows closed, you basically can't hear any outside traffic or even the normal activities of neighbors. The only exception is if there are kids next door running around loudly in their room, then you'll definitely hear some noticeable noise. I experienced that firsthand this time. However, for those who prioritize convenient transportation, this hotel might be something to reconsider. It's not particularly close to a subway or train station, requiring about a 15-minute walk. If you're dragging luggage, especially in summer or on a rainy day, it can be quite a struggle. In comparison, many hotels near stations in Nagoya offer excellent value for money. I chose this place purely for the peace and quiet and the quality of rest. From that perspective, it completely met my expectations. If I visit Nagoya again and my primary goal is still rest, I would likely choose this hotel again. Overall, I'm very satisfied and highly recommend it to travelers like me who value sleep quality and a quiet environment."

"The room was quite spacious, and the bathroom was well-maintained with a proper separation between the shower and dry areas. Everything felt clean and comfortable. The staff were also friendly and welcoming, which made the stay even more pleasant. In terms of location, it’s very convenient. There is a Lawson right across the street, and a 7-Eleven about a five-minute walk away. The hotel is also around an eight-minute walk from Fushimi Station (Exit 10) on the Higashiyama Line, making it easy to get around the city."

"Satisfied with this Japanese city hotel – great location and surprisingly well-equipped for its size. The service was also excellent. We got a good price during the off-season, which made it a fantastic deal. It's only a five-minute walk from the Nagoya Shinkansen exit, and about ten minutes to Meitetsu Nagoya Station. There are tons of dining options nearby; I highly recommend an izakaya called 'Daikoku' – their grilled dishes are superb! (They don't take Alipay, only tap-to-pay credit cards or cash). The underground area of Nagoya Station also has many restaurants and clothing shops to explore, plus a currency exchange office (the hotel reception has a pamphlet about it – grab one, or you'll get lost!). Behind Nagoya Station, you'll find Takashimaya and Meitetsu Department Store. All in all, extremely convenient. Beyond the official tourist brochures, the hotel lobby also had recommendations for local cafes and eateries from the staff, which felt very thoughtful. Nagoya truly is an interesting city worth exploring. One minor drawback: the bathroom drain was very slow, so I wouldn't recommend taking a bath unless you're prepared to wait until the next day for the water to drain."

"The entire hotel relies on air conditioning for ventilation, as windows cannot be opened. The double room was small, just barely adequate. However, the surrounding area offers excellent accessibility. It's about a 10-minute walk to Muji and the famous HARBS cake shop (the original, historically significant branch). Popular restaurants like Gyoza no Ohsho, Umahachi, and Chen Mapo Tofu (Matsuzakaya store) are only about a 15-minute walk away. The hotel is located between Sakae and Fushimi stations. We usually opted to take the subway one stop from Fushimi to Nagoya Station for shopping at Takashimaya (which houses the renowned Din Tai Fung on its upper floors). Getting to the airport was also convenient, involving a subway transfer to an express train. So, the hotel's location is indeed exceptionally convenient, with easy walking access to shopping centers like Mitsukoshi. During our four-day stay, we noticed a high number of Korean and ********* tour groups, which made it quite noisy. Therefore, it might not be suitable for guests who prefer a quiet environment or wish to enjoy hotel amenities. However, this type of budget hotel is very popular, with its affordable price being its biggest advantage."
