"First off, the hotel's location is excellent, which was the main reason I booked it. Metro Exit 10 has an elevator, and it's just a 5-minute walk past a 7-Eleven to reach the hotel. You check in yourself at the lobby on the second floor. There's free luggage storage nearby, and a pantry with ice available, which is a great touch. The laundry room also provides complimentary disposable items, a very thoughtful variety! The room size was ample enough for two suitcases, and it was cleaned daily. Overall, a very satisfying stay. There are also famous fried chicken spots and many local restaurants around the hotel. Great value for money, highly recommend!"

"The room size is big enough and we cant find any hotel have such a size in Nagoya. All the staff are polite and able to communicate in English. This is exceptional compared to my experience in OMO... in Osaka where I needed to use Google translation app for communication. If you really want me to say any room for improvement, I would advice that the cleaning service. This is not about the 3 days deeping cleaning policy. It is about the slippers where they all threw under the seat or table. And I can also find that there are tissue or snacks under the table after cleaning. Anyway, I like this place and will definitely consider it again next time when I visit Nagoya."

"the ac was hot in the night, really hot. it's central ac, so we can't changed the temperature. there is no water to drink at all. the other hotel we stayed gave us mineral water / tap water that can be drink. the amenities : there wasn't sanitary bag on the toilet."

"The hotel's location is excellent, very close to both the JR line and the subway, and quite noticeable. There's a drugstore right across the street, a Lawson convenience store next door, and a 7-Eleven just a few minutes' walk away – super convenient! The hotel breakfast was pretty good. The dining area isn't huge, but there was plenty to eat, and I tried to sample a bit of everything each day. The room wasn't large, but it was incredibly clean. The front desk service was excellent. The only minor thing is that, to save costs, the hotel usually cleans rooms every three days by default (we stayed for 4 nights this time). You need to stick a 'Please Clean' sign on your door if you want it cleaned sooner, which I can understand."

"Location wise it’s around 8 minutes walk to the nearest metro. Wouldn’t say far but definitely not near either. Rating I would give is 3.8/5. Not exactly at the most bustling district but there’s this main shopping district - Osu which is within walkable distance! Do head to take a look! Else everything is definitely satisfactory. I love the breakfast buffet (served 6am to 9am) everyday. Selection of proteins is not bad. Free flow eggs… The menu differs slightly everyday. Hot bath from 630am - 4:00pm and at evenings till the midnight. Feels great! (Didn’t take pics due other users’ privacy) It’s empty and there’s no one else whenever I went, so it feels exactly like a private space to relax. Housekeepers are super friendly too. Toiletries are placed at the public areas in front of the receptionist. Do remember to take before you set into the hotel! Makes up good experience in japan. "Everyone might think it's impossible to stay on top of a tower, but this time there was a pleasant surprise. The biggest surprise was that the hotel breakfast was absolutely amazing! The hotel also has a secret passage leading to the top of the tower for views. Guests can choose to watch the night view or the sunrise. The hotel's mystery really surprised me. So this was a great experience. However, if you want to go shopping, you still need to drive a bit, as finding parking is not easy. In the summer, it can be very hot to walk there, or it might take 30 minutes."

"The biggest plus is the location. As a solo female traveler visiting Nagoya for the first time, I felt very safe. It's only a few minutes' walk from Nagoya Station, and there's an LV store right downstairs. The area reminds me a bit of the shops above Guangzhou's Taikoo Hui. There are plenty of dining options nearby too. However, I had to request housekeeping; my room wasn't cleaned until the fourth day. I later found out it was because I hadn't hung the 'please clean' sign on the door. Other than that, everything else was fine. Hotels in Japan at this price point tend to be on the smaller side. The complimentary breakfast from the bakery downstairs was nice – a donut, a croissant, and a drink every day. It's definitely better value than buying it separately. If you're traveling solo and prioritize safety and convenience, this hotel is a great choice."

"I stayed at the Richmond Hotel throughout my trip to Nagoya, and the overall experience exceeded my expectations. It's an excellent choice for independent travelers and short trips, offering fantastic value for money in Nagoya's central business district. The hotel's biggest highlight is its superb location, making travel incredibly convenient. It's right next to the Shinkansen exit of Nagoya Station, just a five to six-minute walk from the Taiko-dori exit of JR Nagoya Station, so you don't have to walk far with luggage. Whether you're taking the Shinkansen to and from Osaka and Tokyo, or using the subway and Meitetsu lines, it's all very easy. Convenience stores, fast-food restaurants, and specialty ramen shops are all nearby, making it convenient for returning from night tours or stocking up on supplies. Commuting to attractions like Legoland, the Railway Museum, and Atsuta Jingu is completely stress-free. The hotel's facilities show great attention to detail. Unlike most Japanese hotels that provide toiletries fixed in the room, here you can pick up a selection of amenities from the lobby on the first floor, including makeup remover, facial cleanser, lotion, dental kits, and combs. This 'take what you need' approach prevents waste, is hygienic and flexible, catering to different lengths of stay and various guest needs – a thoughtful detail indeed. Most surprisingly, the hotel's breakfast was excellent – a wide variety of dishes at a reasonable price, offering incredible value. The breakfast includes Japanese set meals, Western light meals, grain staples, seasonal side dishes, desserts, and drinks, accommodating both Chinese and Japanese palates. The ingredients are fresh, and the flavors are authentic. Compared to the prices at attractions and restaurants around Nagoya, the hotel breakfast is very affordable. You don't need to wake up early to find food outside; one breakfast here is nutritious and abundant, saving both time and money. The guest rooms are clean, tidy, and well-arranged, with comfortable bedding and decent soundproofing. The staff are polite, attentive, and respond promptly. Overall, there are no major complaints; transportation, dining, and detailed service are all top-notch. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone traveling to Nagoya."

"This is my second stay here. I chose it again because last time I found it super convenient for airport transfers, with the airport bus nearby, and it's also a short walk to Fushimi subway station. There's a large drugstore right outside, and Nagoya Station is about a 15-minute walk away, or you can catch various bus lines. The hotel rooms are compact but very comfortable. This time, breakfast was included, and it was quite good – noodles, rice, and bread were all available, saving me money on coffee and a lot of time! What truly surprised me this time was that amazing showerhead – I'm seriously obsessed! I wonder if I can install one at home, I really want the same model! All in all, I'll definitely want to visit Nagoya again (I've explored Hida Takayama and Nagashima Spa Land before, and this time I visited Inuyama and Magome-juku, plus many great shopping malls). When I do return, I'll absolutely stay here!"

"The hotel's location is excellent. It's right in the Chunichi Building, which is directly accessible from Exit 13 of Sakae Station. You take the elevator from B1 up to the 24th floor for the hotel lobby. The room layout is great; you can fully open three large suitcases. There's an observation deck on the 7th floor where you can enjoy beautiful panoramic views of Nagoya's nightscape. To get to Mitsukoshi Department Store, you can use the underground passage and come out at Exit 16. The hotel is also very convenient for Nagoya Station, just two subway stops away. This will definitely be my top choice for my next visit to Nagoya."
