"The location is very convenient, close to Meitetsu Nagoya Station and the bus terminal. I've stayed here before after exploring the surrounding area. There are several large department stores and drugstores nearby, making shopping easy. There are also plenty of dining options in the vicinity. The staff are very enthusiastic. The room isn't huge, but it's well laid out, and the bed isn't very big, which is perfect for a solo traveler. You can pick up yukata and various toiletries yourself. The breakfast is good, with delicious local specialties. You can store your luggage, and the lobby is a great spot to relax with a coffee. Excellent!"

"This is my second stay at a Mitsui Garden Hotel, the last one being in Tokyo. The hotel chain consistently offers great service. This particular hotel is very close to Nagoya subway station, about a 5-7 minute walk. There's an underground shopping area right below where you can eat and shop, and a 7-Eleven across the street for breakfast or snacks. Within about a 5-minute walk, you'll also find popular eateries like Sekai no Yamachan, Isomaru Suisan, and Torikizoku, which is very convenient."

"The location is decent, a little far from Nagoya Station, but I can live with it. This was my first time staying at this chain, and I'd definitely consider it again. The front desk has a great selection of amenities. The only downside is the room size, but that's typical for Japanese hotels, so it's tolerable. There's a seafood market nearby with fruits, seafood, and sushi, but I didn't get a chance to try it this time. I'll definitely check it out on my next visit! 😉 One last thing to note: the windows in the room can't be opened by guests; you have to ask the front desk to do it with a special tool."

"Very close to Sakae Station and the Bus Terminal, but if you have a heavy carrier, the walk may be lengthened to an extra block due to a lack of elevators on the nearer side to the hotel. Interesting style of a sliding door between the bedroom and hall/powder room area.  No tub, only shower booth with shower gel/shampoo/conditioner. Free coffee daily from 7am to midnight, with breakfast cereal in the morning, and some tea bags. Downside for smokers is, no smoking area in the vacinity. One can smoke at the 7/11 couple of blocks away. One can get a portable ash tray and smoke outside the hotel building.  There seems to be bike rental service available, which I never got to."

"The room was clean and comfy. Staff were really nice and friendly. Enjoyed the buffet breakfast as well, like homecooked food, very comforting. And I love that they provided a warming eye mask free of charge everyday! It came with the towels. Excellent service!"

"The place is clean and near many eateries. There's an eatery that opens till 3am which serves good ramen. The only thing is that there is no lift. So if you are staying on rooms other than the ground floor and travel with heavy luggages, it will be quite a task."

"I had a fantastic stay at ibis Styles Nagoya! The first thing that hits us is the cool, industrial market-themed design. It’s very photogenic and a nice break from standard business hotels. The location is perfect; it’s an easy 8–10 minute walk from Nagoya Station and right next to the Yanagibashi Central Market, which is great for morning exploration. The room is a bit compact but incredibly smart with their layout. Highly recommend for anyone who wants style without the massive price tag."

"The hotel's location is great, very convenient for transportation. However, it's in a busy area and the soundproofing isn't very good, so it can be a bit noisy. The cleanliness wasn't ideal; the housekeeping staff seemed to cut corners, and dirty towels and sheets were often overlooked. Still, for the price, it offers good value for money."

"The room is tiny, and it takes some getting used to the cramped space, but it's well-equipped with everything you need. I even managed to squeeze a large suitcase between the bed and the TV without tripping over it. Despite the windows facing the railway, you can barely hear the trains. The hotel has its own onsen, but I didn't use it. There's no room key, just a coded lock, and check-out isn't required – you just leave, which is convenient. You need to pick up pajamas and a suitable pillow from reception. On the first day, there were no soft pillows left, and I slept poorly on a bead pillow :( The breakfast is basic and always the same. Out of 4 days, I went twice and then stopped. Curry isn't really breakfast food, and the salad, omelets, sausages, and pastries quickly get boring. Overall, for 5-7 thousand rubles a night, the hotel is more than okay. However, during F1 days, it cost 27.6 thousand rubles per night, which is a massive rip-off, even with its ideal location for those using the express bus to Suzuka Circuit from Nagoya Station."

"The room was larger than I expected, and the view was fantastic, offering a partial glimpse of Nagoya's city center. The hotel is located on a relatively busy street, so even when returning late as a solo traveler, I felt quite safe. The room's furniture and fixtures were a bit dated, but that didn't bother me as it was very clean. I could fully open my suitcase on the floor and still move around freely, which was very comfortable. The soundproofing could be better; I could hear doors opening and closing in nearby rooms, and occasionally faint conversations, but it was still within an acceptable range for me. There's a Family Mart on the third floor, accessible by elevator, and the bus terminal is also there. This is incredibly convenient for tourists planning to take a bus to more distant destinations. On my last day, it was also very easy to take the Meitetsu Line to the airport. Highly recommended!"

GGuest UserThis hotel has an excellent location — right in front of Hisayaodori Subway Station Exit 4, which made getting around extremely convenient. There’s also a 7-Eleven just next door, and right behind the hotel is a lively district filled with restaurants, cafĂ©s, bars, supermarkets, and malls. It connects directly to Oasis and Sakae, so everything is within easy walking distance. I chose a shower-only room since I rarely use a bathtub. The sink being located outside the bathroom was actually a plus for me, as it provided better lighting for makeup. The room also had a large window, which made the space feel more open and comfortable. One of the main reasons I didn’t use the shower much is because the hotel has a really nice public bath. It’s very comfortable, with both indoor and semi-outdoor areas. I absolutely loved this facility — it was definitely one of the highlights of my stay. The hotel also collaborates with a luggage courier service that can send your suitcase to a building next to Nagoya Station (not directly inside the station), which is very convenient. I booked a room with breakfast, and although the selection was simple, everything tasted really good. There were real, hearty dishes, soup, some Western options, as well as desserts, coffee, and tea — all complete and very comforting. Some of the menu items also changed daily, which I really appreciated. I was very happy with the food overall. The lobby is beautiful, with high ceilings, large windows, and very comfortable sofas. The staff were generally helpful, but I did encounter one issue. Aside from 2 staff members (who I believe may have been of Indian descent), the Japanese staff did not speak English. While I understand this can happen, I think having basic English skills would be very helpful, especially since this hotel accommodates many international guests. When I asked about the luggage courier service, I felt like I was being passed around between staff. Another staff member came out to assist, but unfortunately, they also did not speak English and did not attempt to use a translation app. Instead, they tried to explain using pen and paper, which made the situation quite confusing. I felt there was very little effort to communicate clearly, which was a bit frustrating. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It has great facilities and an unbeatable location. I hope the communication aspect can be improved, as I would definitely stay here again when visiting Nagoya. Thank you!

KKen SooI stayed at Comfort Inn Nagoya Sakae for 2 nights, during my trip and overall had a good experience. The location is very convenient, within walking distance to Sakae station, shopping areas, and many restaurants. The room was clean and comfortable, Like most business hotels in Japan, the room size is a bit small, but it was still manageable for two people with luggage. The staff were polite and helpful, and the check-in process was smooth. The hotel also felt quiet and safe at night, which made the stay more comfortable. Overall, it is a good value hotel with a great location in Nagoya. I would recommend it for travelers who want a clean and convenient place to stay in the Sakae area.

GGuest UserA very satisfying stay. 1. The front desk staff were excellent, very quick and professional with the check-in process. 2. The breakfast selection was rich, though at certain times it could get a bit crowded and require a short wait, but this was a minor issue. 3. The room was spacious, clean, and offered great views of Nagoya city. This definitely deserves a big thumbs up. 4. There's a convenience store just a 2-minute walk away, and Don Quijote is only 5 minutes away, which is incredibly convenient. Every aspect of my stay was great, so of course, I signed up for a membership.

BBy DebI recently stayed 9h Nine Hours in Nagoya and had a pleasant experience overall. One of the biggest advantages of this hostel is its excellent location. It is conveniently located near Nagoya Station, making it easy to travel around the city and to other destinations. There are also plenty of cafes, restaurants, and convenience stores nearby, which made my stay even more convenient. The staff were very friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout my stay. The sleeping pods are located on a different floor from the shower area, changing room, and luggage storage. On the positive side, this setup helps keep the sleeping area quiet and comfortable. I was able to rest well every night without being disturbed by noise. However, the separation of the facilities can be a little inconvenient. If you forget something in your luggage or need to grab an item, you have to take the elevator and move between floors. In addition, the shower and grooming area can get quite crowded during peak hours, especially in the early morning and late evening. At those times, you may need to wait for a shower, hair dryer, or space to get ready. Despite these minor inconveniences, I really enjoyed my stay. The hostel was clean, comfortable, and well-organized, and I would happily stay here again when visiting Nagoya.

Wwinewine99The hotel is really close to IG Arena, just two metro stops away (about 15 minutes), or a pleasant 30-minute walk. It has all the essentials you'd expect. They do need to make a copy of your passport at check-in. There's breakfast available, though I didn't try it. In the afternoon, the breakfast area turns into a nice spot to relax with self-service tea and water, which was perfect for unwinding a bit before heading out. It's also quite central. My only downside this time was that I booked a smoking room, and the smell was quite noticeable when I walked in. I couldn't get a non-smoking room when I booked.

GGuest UserThe hotel was very conveniently located, close to the live house we were visiting that weekend. The facilities were very clean, including the bathroom, and the beds were comfortable. We slept well. The staff was efficient and helpful, and they kindly stored our luggage both before check-in and after check-out. The only downside is that the hotel is located in a very lively area of Nagoya, and it was quite noisy outside until late at night. We personally didn’t have any trouble sleeping, and there was no noise from neighboring rooms, but it’s something worth keeping in mind.

AAnonymous UserThe facilities were comfortable and clean. The bed was relatively short/tiny even for a short person like me (153cm). I really liked how the staff would ensure that lights would be closed by 10PM. Staying near Nagoya station meant that there were bus terminals and every train type to access to easily. I also really liked the free flow for drinks (coffee/tea/water hot&cold). There were bowls and utensils to use for food as well. While staying on the highest floor, having an elevator was really nice. Despite this my stay was quite inconvenient. All of the amenities cost 50-600„. I had to rent a towel and after checking out the baggage storage was 600„ to store from 10AM-11PM. When I arrived at 1PM to check in or at least leave my luggage, the hostel was closed. Luckily the accommodation was only 7min away from Nagoya station and I could leave my luggage in the coin lockers. One really inconvenient at least for the ladie’s dorm was the baggage corner and the size of it. It was not allowed to keep bags within the bedroom (understandably). However I had a lot of baggage and the baggage storage corner within the same floor was really tiny and cramped. I used double the time than normal to unpack and repack because I had to bring stuff that I needed for shower and to the bed. At the same time I had to dodge people coming in and out the whole time. For some reason in the morning the bedroom door was kept open and I don’t know if it’s part of the rules, similar to the switching off the lights at 10PM.
