PPipajiKicking off our spring break, we headed south through Guilin, Yangshuo, Nanning, and Beihai. Yangshuo Wangjianglou Inn was by far the most comfortable and convenient place we stayed. The inn's design and layout exceeded my expectations; the quality was truly impressive. Given the limitations of the building itself, they ingeniously installed a luggage elevator, which was incredibly thoughtful for both guests and staff – big thumbs up! Yangshuo county is quite small, so there's really no need to stay directly in the scenic area (it's inconvenient, overpriced, and you'd need taxis for meals and transportation, adding to costs). Staying in the West Street commercial district was a very smart decision. We stayed and ate at Wangjianglou (for those who know, their restaurant is a super popular, must-try spot in Yangshuo with long queues!). As a guest, you don't have to wait; the front desk concierge helps with reservations directly, and you even get a 10% discount on meals, which is a fantastic deal. I'm already planning to bring my family back after May Day and will definitely be staying at Wangjianglou again!

Choosing the right accommodation truly elevated our Yangshuo trip, and the Yangshuo Xishi Jinshe (Shili Gallery Yulong River Store) is a divine hotel nestled amidst the mountains and rivers. Our experience was absolutely perfect from start to finish – I wholeheartedly recommend it!
Before I dive into the review, I have to praise the service. It was thoughtful, warm, attentive, and considerate throughout our stay, making us feel incredibly cherished. 🥰
The hotel's location is absolutely stunning, right by the Qinglong Bridge on the Yulong River. From the large floor-to-ceiling window next to our bed, we had direct views of the continuous karst peaks and the gently flowing Yulong River, with bamboo rafts slowly drifting by our window. Every glance offered a picturesque, ink-wash painting-like scene. The design is simple yet sophisticated, blending perfectly with the natural landscape. The super-large floor-to-ceiling windows, courtyard lawn, and the rooftop 'sky mirror' all provided perfect photo opportunities. The environment is serene and peaceful, completely away from the hustle and bustle, creating an incredibly immersive atmosphere.
I must commend the service again; it was exceptionally thoughtful, offering full butler-style service. Every front desk staff member was enthusiastic and meticulous, always ready to assist with any questions. The attention to detail was impeccable, making the entire experience relaxing and heartwarming. We initially booked for only two nights, planning to try another hotel for a different view, but we were so touched by the service that we extended our stay for another two nights. The service was truly exceptional.
The downstairs restaurant exceeded our expectations. The ingredients were fresh and authentic. The Guilin rice noodles, beer fish, and braised chicken 🐓 were all delicious, and the eggplant 🍆 and green beans were incredibly fragrant. We had dinner there four times in a row, and each meal was satisfying and enjoyable; our whole family loved the food.
The hotel's infinity pool offers direct views of the beautiful mountains and rivers. Our children spent several afternoons playing there. The area around the pool is comfortable and well-equipped, allowing adults to relax and enjoy the scenery while the kids have fun.
It was a truly healing and immersive experience amidst the mountains and rivers. The environment, service, dining, and facilities were all top-notch. Whether for a relaxing getaway or a family trip, this is definitely a treasure choice for a stay in Yangshuo!

GGuest UserI absolutely adored the little animals at the hotel! I originally booked the Banyan Tree, but I really didn't like its decor style, so I spontaneously switched to Jiu Rang, and it was a HUGE, huge surprise!!! I feel like the service is in the style of a Japanese hotel – polite, accommodating, but still giving guests a certain sense of privacy and space, which is so important. I haven't stayed in a more satisfying hotel at a similar price point in China.
I only stayed in Yangshuo for a short time, just five nights at Jiu Rang, but I could feel their utmost effort to make guests comfortable. I think only small-scale hotels (with fewer rooms) can achieve this level of service.
First, the fresh flowers. I didn't pay much attention to the flowers for the first three days, and when I finally noticed them, they were a bit wilted. After I mentioned it to the butler, they sent over a big bouquet of fresh flowers (P3). And here's something detail-oriented people will definitely love! For the afternoon tea, I usually left the strawberry leaves aside. The second time I had afternoon tea, the strawberry leaves had already been removed (P2)! You can tell they pay attention and improve! Also, the mini-bar and snacks are replenished daily. I only drank two fruit drinks from the mini-bar, and when they restocked, they replaced the flavors I had finished and added new ones. Kudos to the housekeeping auntie!
Ordering takeout was a little inconvenient; some restaurants didn't deliver, and those that did would leave it at the hotel entrance. Luckily, the butler would help bring it to my room door.
The cleanliness was absolutely superb. They never touched any of my belongings (the previous luxury brand hotel I stayed at would fold my clothes, which I found quite intrusive… this place didn't do that).
The last picture shows the view from the room – there's a heart-shaped mountain, haha, though it wasn't very clear due to the fog. You can usually spot it though.
I think it's perfect for people who value privacy and quiet. In short, if I ever come back to Yangshuo, I will only choose this hotel☺️💕

There are adorable deer to feed at the ranch, and a free shuttle service – a dream for anyone who appreciates the little things! The window views from our room and the floating pavilion on the rooftop truly stole my heart. The wabi-sabi aesthetic blended with the Guilin landscapes is just perfect! I highly recommend staying for at least two nights to fully soak in the slow pace of life here. (This is coming from someone who, at this very moment, regrets switching hotels for the second night!)

GGuest UserOur trip to Yangshuo led us to choose the Julong Xiaozhen Resort Hotel, and our stay truly exceeded expectations – it was incredibly comfortable!
We booked a mountain view room, and the floor-to-ceiling windows offered an amazing panorama, directly overlooking the karst mountains and rural scenery. We could just lie in bed and soak in the beautiful landscapes. Waking up to the sunshine and mountain views, surrounded by lush greenery, was incredibly therapeutic – a completely immersive experience close to nature.
The 'Sky Mirror' on the top floor is a must-visit photo spot! You can overlook the entire Ten-Mile Gallery (Shili Hualang) from there, with mountains all around and a stunning blend of water and sky. Every picture taken there turns out beautifully. The lawn pool on the first floor is clean and inviting, creating a perfect vacation vibe; there's also a children's play area, making it very convenient for families traveling with kids.
The dining was also a huge plus. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety, the afternoon tea was exquisite and delicious, and they even had comforting late-night noodles. All three meals were thoroughly enjoyable.
The hotel's location is perfect, very close to the Yulong River and the Ten-Mile Gallery. There's a pastoral path right behind the hotel, making evening strolls to watch the sunset incredibly relaxing. The overall environment is quiet and comfortable.
The staff were exceptionally friendly, providing thoughtful and attentive service, and the room was kept spotlessly clean. This hotel is suitable for couples, friends, or family vacations. I genuinely recommend this place when visiting Yangshuo; I'll definitely stay here again next time!

AAlenaBananaMay family and I spent a wonderful time in this hotel. The location is great for those who want to enjoy solitude but still be not too far from the village entertainment. The hotel is located in a secluded area but is still quite close to touristic sites.
The hotel itself has everything you need - good cuisine with a bar. You can order your drinks right to a clean swimming pool and enjoy a peaceful time on a sling-chair. If you need anything else - the delivery works fine there, although requires a little bit longer than you might expect.
The staff deserves a praise - they can speak English, they’re very friendly and helpful.
As for the entertainments - you can find various brochures on the check in desk and the staff will help you book the trips.
As for the transportation-there’s a small house near the hotel where you can rent e-bikes for a reasonable price.
Laundry - you can leave it at the check in desk and it’ll be returned to you at 22:30 on the same day for some fees.
Overall, I’m extremely satisfied with the hotel and will recommend it to all my friends who’ll go there in the future.

MManmandianxia📍 The location is super convenient! It's right at the entrance of West Street, just a two to three-minute walk from where you get off. No need to drag your suitcase over bumpy cobblestones, which is a huge plus when you have kids or lots of bags.
🏠 Our kids absolutely loved the family room! With cartoon slippers, children's cups, airplane bedding, a beanbag chair, and their own play corner, they were thrilled as soon as we walked in. The hotel also has a kids' play area and occasionally organizes family activities, giving parents a much-needed break.
📸 The hotel itself is very photogenic! The spiral staircase, observation deck, and retro-style rooms with soft lighting make every photo a good one.
💁♀️ The service is incredibly thoughtful. The front desk staff can communicate fluently with foreign guests in English, so bringing international friends here is no problem at all. The staff are also very patient with children and always happy to help with directions or food recommendations.
🍳 Breakfast is simple but delicious, with corn, eggs, and noodles – the kids enjoyed it a lot.
🌙 Downstairs is the bustling West Street, and you can stroll around until midnight and be back in your room in just a few minutes. Upstairs, the soundproofing is excellent, so it's quiet and peaceful. There's also a laundry room and a tea bar.
In short: If you're traveling with kids or foreign friends, and want a comfortable and convenient stay, this is definitely the place to choose!

GGuest UserThe hotel's design is truly distinctive, and its location is great with a beautiful environment. Every service detail was thoughtful. Both breakfast and dinner at the hotel were incredibly rich and delicious, and service requests were met promptly. They were almost always able to accommodate personalized requests, and the anniversary cake was of excellent quality, which was very touching. However, the room decor was simple, and the facilities were dated. There was mold growing in the bathroom corners, no bathtub or smart toilet, and the floors were discolored. The afternoon tea was a bit basic, but the staff were proactive and enthusiastic with their service. We even received a parting gift, for which we are very grateful! 🙏 Wishing them all the best for the future.

GGuest UserWe spent 2 nights at this beautiful remote place away from everything but in the midst of nature. The view from the terrace is splendid, the pets lovely (they are not shy at all and love the guests attention, especially the cat).
The hosts contacted us even before our arrival to make sure we find our way up to the mountain guesthouse. The dinner and breakfast were excellent. We were spoiled with tea, fruits and even cappuccino with latte art. As other reviewers wrote, there's a hidden access to a trail leading up to a beautiful viewpoint on the mountain behind (45-60 minutes walk for one way).
You will love it if you won't get bored far away from villages and towns too quickly, you won't like it accessibility is a major criteria for you. All of the staff was very kind and made our stay a great experience.
Even though we were in touch with the hosts via wechat throughout our stay (worked very well), it might be an idea to provide some information and major activities in a document or small brochure to facilitate planing a bit.
