Choosing this hotel was absolutely the right decision! The scenery is picturesque; waking up to views of mountains and rivers instantly lifted my spirits. The front desk staff were all so nice, they even upgraded our room and arranged transportation for us to nearby restaurants. The hotel offers delicious afternoon tea and a lovely 'goodnight dessert' every day. While sitting in the lobby, the staff would proactively offer drinks – whether it was coffee, tea, or juice, everything was great. I honestly didn't want to leave the hotel! The swimming pool is also very clean. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Yangshuo!

A wonderful family hotel with spacious rooms, a pool and a very peaceful atmosphere. We stayed here as a family with children and really enjoyed our time. In Yangshuo, many hotels have beautiful mountain views, but this hotel stands out because it is not only scenic, but also very quiet, peaceful and comfortable inside. For us, this was a huge advantage. This is a warm family-style hotel where you feel that the owners truly care about every guest. The hostess was always nearby and personally paid attention to the quality of service. The staff were very friendly, polite and always ready to help. Our room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Housekeeping was done on time, and everything felt well maintained. For this level of room, the price was very reasonable, which makes the hotel a very good value for money. Another big plus is the swimming pool. For a family trip, especially with children, having a pool at the hotel is a real advantage compared with many other hotels in the area. One of the nicest details was the afternoon tea with sweets — it made the stay feel even more welcoming and personal. The atmosphere of the hotel is calm and relaxing, which is exactly what you need in the mountains. The garden, the views, the fresh air and the peaceful environment helped us rest properly. The night before, we stayed in another hotel where it was noisy and uncomfortable because of construction nearby, so here we especially appreciated the silence, cleanliness and comfort. We finally had a proper rest. This hotel is a great choice for families, for people travelling with children, and for anyone who wants a quiet and cozy place surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery. We left with very warm impressions and would be happy to come back again. Highly recommended. В Яншо, как мы поняли, у многих отелей есть красивые виды на горы, но большое преимущество именно этого отеля в том, что здесь не только красиво, но ещё и очень тихо, спокойно и комфортно внутри. Для нас это было огромным плюсом. Это уютный семейный отель, где чувствуется настоящая забота о гостях. Хозяйка всегда была рядом и лично контролировала качество обслуживания. Персонал очень доброжелательный, вежливый, всегда старался помочь и сделать проживание максимально комфортным. Номер был очень просторный, чистый и удобный. Уборка проводилась вовремя, всё было аккуратно и приятно. Для такого уровня номера цена, на наш взгляд, очень недорогая, поэтому соотношение цены и качества здесь отличное. Отдельный большой плюс — наличие бассейна. Для семейной поездки, особенно с детьми, это действительно важное преимущество по сравнению со многими другими отелями в этом районе. Также нам очень понравились приятные детали: послеобеденный чай со сладостями, зелёный двор, красивые виды, свежий воздух и общая спокойная атмосфера. В горах именно такой отдых особенно ценен — здесь можно по-настоящему расслабиться и восстановиться. Ночь до этого мы провели в другом отеле, где рядом шла стройка, было шумно и душно. Поэтому здесь мы особенно оценили тишину, чистоту и комфорт. Мы наконец-то хорошо отдохнули. Отель отлично подойдёт для семей с детьми и для тех, кто ищет не шумное место, а спокойный, уютный отдых среди красивой природы. У нас остались очень тёплые впечатления, с удовольствием вернулись бы снова. Очень рекомендуем.

Room: The room is so spacious. Each room seems to have its own tub. The room is so clean and spacious, I have no complaints. I slept so well. What takes it over the top is that there is an adapter which can take most types of international plugs. The washrooms are so nice and luxe. The shower is perfect. You feel like royalty every time you step into the washroom. Amenities: - The whole estate is so large, with diverse sections, each beautifully built. The whole layout is incredible and beautifully designed. - The pool against the backdrop of the majestic mountains and the sound of nature, especially the birds, is amazing. - There is an outdoor laundry room. I really love that it is an indoor-outdoor vibe. - There is a really cool treehouse and near it are exotic birds you can see up close - There is a bonfire you can use every night and cook sweet potatoes which they provide..amazing - There are scooters right in their parking lot you can rent at any time - There is a respective Western and Chinese restaurant serving diverse foods and drinks (including alcoholic). Not only are the foods amazing, the hot Americano is just as good. The Staff: - The owner and staff are all phenomenal people. They are so friendly, welcoming, hospitable, and helpful. They made me feel right at home. - They were so attentive to my needs at any moment. I am truly so grateful to each and every one. The Location: There is not much to say here because the view speaks for itself. But it's also close to a ”downtown” which is the Xingping Ancient Town. You can get there by renting a scooter for cheap with the help of the staff here. By scooter it only takes 15-20 minutes depending on your skill level. There are so many activities you can do in in Yangshuo, and the guesthouse can help arrange any of them. I really appreciate the pamphlet they send out which immediately gives an overview of what activities you can do and they can help you with any of them! Overall: This place is phenomenal. It is perfect for families, solo travelers, business travelers, couples, and all different travelers. It has everything you need. A Western restaurant, Chinese restaurant, both of which serve amazing food and various types of drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). You can rent scooters right outside the building. There is a laundry room. There are even exotic birds in the garden! There is a treehouse, there is a pool, all enveloped by a majestic mountainous landscape. There is plenty of space to get your work done if you are a business traveler, but if you want to cruise around and explore, you can do so on foot or on scooter. If you don't want to find places to eat, the food here is right here for breakfast, lunch, and dinnner. The owner and staff are incredibly friendly, hospitable, and helpful in every aspect. They are really amazing people I won't forget!! I loved it so much here that I extended my stay here! Incredible value. You won't regret booking this guesthouse!!!

A wonderful hotel right in the center of Yangshuo, yet surprisingly quiet at night. The rooms were spacious, modern, and offered a great view. The breakfast was delicious with a good variety of options. The staff were exceptionally polite, friendly, and always happy to help. The complimentary laundry service was also a great bonus and very convenient. We had a fantastic stay and would definitely choose this hotel again.

I had an amazing experience staying at Sugar House Hotel in China. From the moment I arrived, everything was exceptional. The hotel combines beautiful design, elegant style, comfort, and outstanding service in a truly memorable way. The staff were incredibly friendly, professional, and attentive throughout my stay. Their attention to detail and genuine hospitality made me feel very well taken care of. I would especially recommend Sugar House Hotel to highly demanding and discerning guests who appreciate exceptional service, sophisticated style, and attention to every detail. If you love beautiful surroundings, excellent hospitality, and a high level of service, this hotel is definitely worth experiencing. It was a wonderful and unforgettable stay, and I would absolutely love to return again!

The hot spring pools on the mountainside, coupled with the distant green peaks, are absolutely stunning. The rooftop infinity pool and Moon Mountain create a picturesque scene. The 270-degree panoramic mountain and water views are incredible! Plus, there's a free shuttle service to the pier for bamboo rafting, which was a fantastic experience. I'll definitely be back! The hotel also offered a complimentary travel photography session, and the service was excellent, producing some truly beautiful photos. Ten out of ten!

This is a wonderful family run guesthouse, where you can enjoy peace away from the hustle of Xingping Old Town. Differently from other types of accommodation we have seen in Dahe Bei village, this guesthouse is a hidden gem with charme and character. The food was excellent and abundant, freshly cooked by the owner herself. The owner picked us up from the Dahe Bei ferry dock, organised an electric moped rental in Dahe Bei (we didn't see many on that side of the river) and gave us plenty of tips and suggestions for where to go and what to do around there, including a sunrise hike to a nearby mountain that you can reach directly from the guesthouse - if you're into hiking (it's a 1h walk uphill through pomelo and orange orchards, followed by a series of staircases), it's a great spot, as we found only a few photographers when we got up there. The ginger cat and the house dog are cute and extremely friendly, adding to the overall wonderful atmosphere. Our room was spacious and clean, with plenty of hot water for showers after a day of hiking or driving around to see the surroundings. If we were to travel again in this area, we would definitely go back. Highly recommended!

The hotel boasts stylish decor and spotlessly clean rooms. The staff were exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to make our trip comfortable and convenient. A special highlight was the rooftop terrace, offering breathtaking panoramic views of West Street. We were also pleasantly surprised when the bar staff offered us complimentary drinks. I chose to stay at Yangshuo Mountain Retreat largely because of the owner, Little Fish. What stood out to me before booking was how she takes the time to personally respond to every single review. That level of care and pride in the property really came through—and it is fully reflected in the guest experience. I stayed in Room 207, which offered a perfect vantage point of the Yulong River. I spent hours on the balcony simply watching bamboo rafts drift past against the dramatic karst mountains—it was incredibly peaceful and almost meditative. The retreat itself feels authentic and deeply rooted in the local community. It is entirely run by people from nearby villages, with over 90% of the team being women. Much of the food is sourced directly from the families of the staff who have farms, which makes the entire experience feel personal and sustainable. What impressed me further was hearing from local Didi drivers, who also spoke very highly of the resort. They shared that many of the staff have been there for years, a testament to how well the owner treats her team. It’s clear that Little Fish sees them as family—taking them on holidays and ensuring they are well looked after. That kind of culture is rare and truly shows in the warmth of the service. With only 34 rooms, the property feels wonderfully intimate and quiet—ideal if you’re looking to disconnect. The setting is nothing short of spectacular, with uninterrupted views of one of the most beautiful stretches of the Yulong River. The food also deserves special mention. Both the Chinese and Western options were excellent, and we ended up having all our meals at the hotel. Portions were generous, and when we couldn’t finish the famous Bamboo Chicken, the staff kindly offered to keep it for our next meal—a thoughtful gesture that perfectly reflects their hospitality. Overall, this is far more than just a place to stay. It’s an experience built on genuine care, community, and natural beauty. I would return without hesitation

I had a truly satisfying stay! The location of Wangjianglou is unbeatable, very close to West Street and the Li River, making getting around super convenient. I specifically booked the 'Leisure Courtyard View Twin Room,' and it was clean, tidy, well-equipped, and completely odor-free. The courtyard environment is incredibly tranquil and peaceful, a quiet oasis amidst the hustle and bustle. The twin room was spacious enough; my family and I didn't feel cramped at all. The staff were friendly and responsive. Overall, the value for money is exceptional. It was an impeccable accommodation experience, deserving of a five-star rating!
