Staying at the Xi Shi Jin She Hotel was an incredibly healing experience amidst the beautiful landscapes of Yangshuo. The hotel is located right by the Yulong River, and with the panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows, you're greeted by stunning karst peaks, with bamboo rafts slowly gliding by on the river – it feels like living inside a traditional Chinese ink painting. The room was clean and tidy, the toiletries were of excellent quality, and the facilities were exquisite and comprehensive. The butler service was attentive and thoughtful, and the authentic Guilin rice noodles for breakfast were fresh and delicious. The rooftop infinity pool offered amazing photo opportunities. It's also super convenient for visiting the Ten-Mile Gallery. This is definitely my top choice for a stay in Yangshuo, a perfect experience!

I visited Guilin and Liuzhou with a friend for five days, and this was by far the most comfortable hotel we stayed in. **Check-in:** Because I have trouble sleeping, I made a special request for a non-smoking, quiet room. The front desk confirmed my preferences, and I was lucky enough to get a room upgrade, haha! After check-in, they escorted us to our room, explaining everything, and proactively helped with our luggage. Every staff member we passed greeted us, and any requests for items were handled promptly. **Room:** The bathroom had a separate wet and dry area. The bed was super big; my friend immediately flopped onto it and rolled around as soon as we entered. The bedding was clean and comfortable, and the pillows came in both soft and firm options. There was also a firm throw pillow that came in handy when I was lying in bed choosing photos. Outside the window, a large banyan tree blocked most of the street, and the sunlight filtering through looked quite beautiful. The air conditioning allowed for adjustable fan speed, which was a blessing for a sound-sensitive person like me when set to the lowest speed at night. **Facilities:** There's a laundry room with a dryer, and the room even had a laundry hamper (very practical, many hotels only provide a laundry bag and don't consider this). The top floor has a swimming pool and the breakfast restaurant. We went to the pool around 9 PM when no one else was there and had some fun. It has shallow and deep sections, reaching about calf and thigh height, so it's not too deep. There were lounge chairs nearby, very chill. Breakfast was also very relaxed. Highly recommended!

The hotel is wonderful — the panoramic windows are an absolute delight. Waking up to such a breathtaking view is truly unforgettable. The hotel has everything you might need, and the staff are incredibly caring and always ready to help with any question. One of the best features is the scooter rental service. It’s extremely convenient — renting a scooter for the day allows you to explore all of Yangshuo and its beautiful attractions with total freedom. The only small nuance is the breakfast. It is more focused on traditional Chinese dishes, so for Europeans there are fewer familiar options besides toast with butter and some fruit. I would recommend booking a room without breakfast and enjoying breakfast anywhere in the city — especially if you rent a scooter. That’s exactly what we did and found a wonderful place for breakfast.

I came here after seeing recommendations on Xiaohongshu, but I found the experience quite disjointed. Overall, I think it's only suitable for self-driving parties of two or more people looking for a vacation, and you can't expect high-quality service. **Cons:** My biggest issue was the deposit-for-good-review scheme (see screenshot). I understand that many hotels might have requirements for good reviews, and I'm happy to leave one if there's mutual goodwill. However, I've never encountered a situation where you're asked to pay a deposit first and then use a good review to get it back. This felt like a threat to guests, and it was quite distasteful. So, this time, I declined any 'benefits' from the hotel and chose to leave an honest review. (To clarify what she meant by deposit: since my booking didn't include breakfast, I was told it would be an extra 25 yuan per day, 50 yuan for two days. I booked a bathtub queen room for the first two nights and a tatami room for the last night. When I asked if I could avoid changing rooms, I was told it would require an additional 100 yuan deposit). Service was generally mediocre. The staff rarely smiled, offered perfunctory service, but lacked understanding or genuine support. Later, when I moved to a hotel on West Street, I felt much better instantly. (I did meet a front desk staff member who helped me with my luggage when I arrived, and I thank her for that, but otherwise, the service was truly average). The location is too remote. There are no dining options nearby; if you don't eat at the hotel, your only choices are a few farm-to-table restaurants nearby, which are double the price and offer average food. Getting a taxi takes a long time because there are no cars nearby, so I only recommend this place for self-drivers (or those who rent electric scooters). The nearby scenery is unremarkable. **Pros:** Hygiene was excellent. The cleaning auntie was the nicest staff member of all, and she was thorough and meticulous; it was genuinely clean. The decor was well thought out. You can tell the owner put a lot of effort into it, with the front hall restored to its old charm and the back meticulously maintained. Many details even had a touch of Zen. That's why I feel it's so disjointed and such a shame. It could have been a great hotel, but it left me with a very fragmented experience.

A wonderful family hotel with spacious rooms, a pool and a very peaceful atmosphere. We stayed here as a family with children and really enjoyed our time. In Yangshuo, many hotels have beautiful mountain views, but this hotel stands out because it is not only scenic, but also very quiet, peaceful and comfortable inside. For us, this was a huge advantage. This is a warm family-style hotel where you feel that the owners truly care about every guest. The hostess was always nearby and personally paid attention to the quality of service. The staff were very friendly, polite and always ready to help. Our room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Housekeeping was done on time, and everything felt well maintained. For this level of room, the price was very reasonable, which makes the hotel a very good value for money. Another big plus is the swimming pool. For a family trip, especially with children, having a pool at the hotel is a real advantage compared with many other hotels in the area. One of the nicest details was the afternoon tea with sweets — it made the stay feel even more welcoming and personal. The atmosphere of the hotel is calm and relaxing, which is exactly what you need in the mountains. The garden, the views, the fresh air and the peaceful environment helped us rest properly. The night before, we stayed in another hotel where it was noisy and uncomfortable because of construction nearby, so here we especially appreciated the silence, cleanliness and comfort. We finally had a proper rest. This hotel is a great choice for families, for people travelling with children, and for anyone who wants a quiet and cozy place surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery. We left with very warm impressions and would be happy to come back again. Highly recommended. В Яншо, как мы поняли, у многих отелей есть красивые виды на горы, но большое преимущество именно этого отеля в том, что здесь не только красиво, но ещё и очень тихо, спокойно и комфортно внутри. Для нас это было огромным плюсом. Это уютный семейный отель, где чувствуется настоящая забота о гостях. Хозяйка всегда была рядом и лично контролировала качество обслуживания. Персонал очень доброжелательный, вежливый, всегда старался помочь и сделать проживание максимально комфортным. Номер был очень просторный, чистый и удобный. Уборка проводилась вовремя, всё было аккуратно и приятно. Для такого уровня номера цена, на наш взгляд, очень недорогая, поэтому соотношение цены и качества здесь отличное. Отдельный большой плюс — наличие бассейна. Для семейной поездки, особенно с детьми, это действительно важное преимущество по сравнению со многими другими отелями в этом районе. Также нам очень понравились приятные детали: послеобеденный чай со сладостями, зелёный двор, красивые виды, свежий воздух и общая спокойная атмосфера. В горах именно такой отдых особенно ценен — здесь можно по-настоящему расслабиться и восстановиться. Ночь до этого мы провели в другом отеле, где рядом шла стройка, было шумно и душно. Поэтому здесь мы особенно оценили тишину, чистоту и комфорт. Мы наконец-то хорошо отдохнули. Отель отлично подойдёт для семей с детьми и для тех, кто ищет не шумное место, а спокойный, уютный отдых среди красивой природы. У нас остались очень тёплые впечатления, с удовольствием вернулись бы снова. Очень рекомендуем.

The environment is pretty good, clean, tidy, and odor-free. You can see beautiful distant scenery from the window, even though it overlooks a rather murky pond. The room's floor is warped, making the door quite difficult to open and close; it takes some effort each time. When it rains, you have to walk up a narrow, uncovered staircase to get to the room, so you're likely to get wet. It's not far from West Street, and finding places to eat is easy.

I personally feel that this place offers excellent value for money. The owner was very welcoming; they came right over to help us with our luggage as soon as we arrived. Since we were traveling with our cat, the owner and staff were all incredibly friendly towards her. The facilities are very new, and even the tables and chairs in the room are quite grand. It's not like some places where you only get a tiny table just big enough for two glasses of water. The room was meticulously clean, and the overall atmosphere felt very comfortable. The room was very spacious, including the bathroom, and the tasteful decorative pieces prevented it from feeling empty. The design sense is excellent. My friends even said they want to redecorate their homes in this style.

We stayed at New West Street International Hotel for total of 10 nights as we accompanied our child at a nearby Chinese school in the summer. This extended time gave us the opportunity to really got to experience the hotel facilities, the food, and the service.  First the location.The actual location is about a 10 to 15 minute walk from the actual West Street. To us, the distance is actually a good thing. Food, shops, and amenities at West Street are overly tailored for tourists. The hotel location is quiet and peaceful. Nearby are many local restaurants and shops that we much preferred. In fact, we found ourselves walking away from the West Street direction to get some great local foods everyday of our stay. That said, the hotel offers an excellent shuttle service beginning at 3:30pm until late at night if that's what you are into.  Second, the hotel building itself is in excellent condition. It appears many of the facilities and rooms were recently renovated. The lobby is open and airy and makes a comfortable gathering spot for us to meet our friends before heading out. The hotel sometimes accommodates tour groups. Even when we see as many as three tour buses parked in the back, the hotel does not feel congested nor noisy. The room itself is tastefully updated with a large flat screen TV, USB-C chargers, and automated curtains. The beds were comfortable and our balcony room faced a beautiful karst mountain and a nearby pond. The room appears to have great noisy insulation. We did not hear our neighbors like we did in other Chinese hotels. Third, the place is always clean. We see staff cleaning public areas all the time, wiping down handrails, elevator buttons, countertops. etc. As for our room, the home keeper always kept it clean and orderly. We had some problems with smell the first day. A housekeeper came and troubleshoot the problem to durian smell in the mini-fridge. Not only did she wipe it down, but even without us asking, the later came back with another mini-fridge to make sure no smell was left. That really made an impression on us. Next, the staff. Everyone we encountered was always friendly and greeted us. From the cleaning staff to the front desk reception to the restaurant waiters. Everyone was friendly. We can only speak limited mandarin but the staff still talked to us best they could in English. Rachel, the manager on site, was especially friendly to make sure we got everything we needed. She understands we were staying for an extended period of time so she was always asking what can be improved for our long stay. The hotel added us to WeChat where they respond quickly to all the typical requests like room service to sending us extra water. I wish more hotels do this.  Finally, the facilities. We used the laundry room daily. There are 5 washers and 3 dryers by my count. Most of the time, I can find an empty machine to wash my laundry. Mornings are best for doing laundry. After dinner time is the busiest time. We occasionally had to take out other people's laundry that were just sitting there but it's rare. The pool is large, warm, and clean. The shallow end is perfect for kids or just wading around. The deep end is 1.7M deep so it's plenty for actual swimming. We also used the on-site travel agent to book a private transfer to the Guilin high speed station. Rachel happened to be nearby when we did this and she helped with some translation with the agent and it was very appreciated. The restaurant was large and there was always space for us to sit even when there are large tour groups. It offers mainly Chinese options but also have some Western items. Food was abundant and delicious. The Guilin rice noodles in the back is tasty and the broth is excellent. The only thing is the coffee could be a little bit better! We loved our stay at the New West Street International Hotel and would not hesitate to go back next time we visit Yangshuo. 

Yangshuo Shixi Tianyue Hotel boasts an excellent location, within walking distance to West Street and the Li River pier. It's a peaceful retreat, away from the hustle and bustle. The rooms are spacious and clean, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering scenic mountain and river views, and the bedding is very comfortable. The rooftop Sky Mirror is perfect for photos. The hotel also features a swimming pool, a kids' playground, and a rich breakfast selection. The service is attentive and thoughtful, and parking is convenient for those driving. It's easy to get around and explore, offering great value for money.

I had a truly satisfying stay! The location of Wangjianglou is unbeatable, very close to West Street and the Li River, making getting around super convenient. I specifically booked the 'Leisure Courtyard View Twin Room,' and it was clean, tidy, well-equipped, and completely odor-free. The courtyard environment is incredibly tranquil and peaceful, a quiet oasis amidst the hustle and bustle. The twin room was spacious enough; my family and I didn't feel cramped at all. The staff were friendly and responsive. Overall, the value for money is exceptional. It was an impeccable accommodation experience, deserving of a five-star rating!
