Yangshuo Fadai overhanging hot spring light luxury hotel

Yangshuo Fa Dai Hotel truly helps you completely unwind! Outside the window, it's like a landscape painting; just sitting quietly with a pot of tea, watching the clouds and mist drift through the mountains. The owner is very welcoming, and the whole atmosphere is relaxing and healing, making all your worries disappear. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet place to relax – once you're here, you won't want to leave! The hotel also offers a complimentary travel photoshoot, and the results were great with excellent service from the photographer.

Open the window and you're greeted by a stunning panorama of karst peaks, with the emerald Li River winding through, and mountains wreathed in mist. I spent half the day just gazing from the balcony, watching the sunset paint the mountain tops in gold. Staying here, every view is breathtakingly beautiful; my mind and body are completely immersed in the landscape. The hotel also offers a complimentary travel photoshoot, which turned out great, and the photographer was excellent.

My trip to Yangshuo with my mom was made perfect by choosing the Fada Hotel. The owner has excellent taste, having built this hotel in such a scenic spot. I saw a phrase during breakfast, 'contemplation leads to enlightenment,' which I guess explains the name Fada Hotel. Plus, the young lady who checked us in at the front desk was lovely. The hotel windows offer a landscape painting view, and there's one spot with a view that makes you think of a fairyland. The Half-Mountain Cafe is full of young girls taking photos, and of course, old 'aunties' like me. Personally, I found the infinity pool below to be the most relaxing. There's a shuttle service always available to take you from the accommodation area to the public areas. All in all, this is a highly recommended hotel, and I think it's a must-stay when visiting Yangshuo. Additionally, the hotel has a partnered travel photography service that offers three free photos, and the young man who helped us with photo selection later was great.

The views outside the window are picturesque, and inside, it's wonderfully tranquil. Time seems to slow down at this hotel. From the front desk to the dining room, the service is attentive and warm, and every corner offers a sense of comfort. It's truly a great place to relax and unwind; once you've stayed, you won't want to leave. The hotel even offers a complimentary travel photoshoot, which turned out great. The photographer was excellent, and the makeup artist was also very skilled.

Hygiene: Very clean. Environment: Very comfortable, with lots of Instagrammable spots. Service: Every staff member was incredibly warm, attentive, and explained everything clearly. Our butler was thoughtful. The yoga teacher was also excellent, and the hot springs were wonderful and very relaxing.

I passed by many B&Bs and was a bit worried, but then I turned into an area with its own parking lot. The hotel itself is large, and the rooms are clean. The hillside cafe nearby is very photogenic when the weather is good. They even gave us a small gift when we left. I would definitely recommend this to my friends.

Yangshuo truly left a lasting impression, though not entirely for the right reasons. After getting off the high-speed train, we had to queue with everyone else for a bus to the county town, which took about an hour since the train station is quite a distance away. From the county town, it was another 20-minute ride in the hotel's car. Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised when the hotel upgraded our room because we were on our honeymoon – a really thoughtful gesture! We had initially planned to stay for two nights but ended up extending for an extra night, and that's where the trouble began! The hotel is located within a scenic area and has its own restaurant. So, for our last day, we decided to just relax at the hotel. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant, ordering two dishes in particular: dry-fried mushrooms and crispy rice with beef. We're not sure which one was the culprit, but shortly after returning to our room, my husband started feeling nauseous. We didn't think much of it at first. Then, around 1 AM, he began to suffer from severe vomiting and diarrhea. By 5 AM, I started vomiting too, about seven or eight times in total. The next day, I couldn't move without feeling like I was going to throw up again. The hotel did offer to make us some millet porridge, but we couldn't stomach anything. By the afternoon, we couldn't take it anymore and asked the hotel to take us to the county hospital. The doctor asked about our symptoms and, after hearing our accents, simply concluded it was 'water and soil incompatibility' (meaning our bodies weren't used to the local environment). But 'water and soil incompatibility' for both of us at the same time? My husband refused to have blood drawn at such a small hospital, so we just left it at that. We definitely won't be coming back to this place. Just thinking about it makes my stomach hurt. That's why it took me about 10 days after getting back to even write this review.

Very thoughtful, they even provided fruit. The hygiene was excellent, and the hot springs and infinity pool were super photogenic and definitely worth recommending. My child had an amazing time. Facilities: Good Hygiene: Good Environment: Good Service: Good
