Choosing the right accommodation truly elevated our Yangshuo trip, and the Yangshuo Xishi Jinshe (Shili Gallery Yulong River Store) is a divine hotel nestled amidst the mountains and rivers. Our experience was absolutely perfect from start to finish – I wholeheartedly recommend it!
Before I dive into the review, I have to praise the service. It was thoughtful, warm, attentive, and considerate throughout our stay, making us feel incredibly cherished. 🥰
The hotel's location is absolutely stunning, right by the Qinglong Bridge on the Yulong River. From the large floor-to-ceiling window next to our bed, we had direct views of the continuous karst peaks and the gently flowing Yulong River, with bamboo rafts slowly drifting by our window. Every glance offered a picturesque, ink-wash painting-like scene. The design is simple yet sophisticated, blending perfectly with the natural landscape. The super-large floor-to-ceiling windows, courtyard lawn, and the rooftop 'sky mirror' all provided perfect photo opportunities. The environment is serene and peaceful, completely away from the hustle and bustle, creating an incredibly immersive atmosphere.
I must commend the service again; it was exceptionally thoughtful, offering full butler-style service. Every front desk staff member was enthusiastic and meticulous, always ready to assist with any questions. The attention to detail was impeccable, making the entire experience relaxing and heartwarming. We initially booked for only two nights, planning to try another hotel for a different view, but we were so touched by the service that we extended our stay for another two nights. The service was truly exceptional.
The downstairs restaurant exceeded our expectations. The ingredients were fresh and authentic. The Guilin rice noodles, beer fish, and braised chicken 🐓 were all delicious, and the eggplant 🍆 and green beans were incredibly fragrant. We had dinner there four times in a row, and each meal was satisfying and enjoyable; our whole family loved the food.
The hotel's infinity pool offers direct views of the beautiful mountains and rivers. Our children spent several afternoons playing there. The area around the pool is comfortable and well-equipped, allowing adults to relax and enjoy the scenery while the kids have fun.
It was a truly healing and immersive experience amidst the mountains and rivers. The environment, service, dining, and facilities were all top-notch. Whether for a relaxing getaway or a family trip, this is definitely a treasure choice for a stay in Yangshuo!

SSB91Our stay at this hotel was perfect. The building is new, the rooms are clean, and there's a lovely pool. Breakfast was delicious and freshly prepared, with a choice of dishes every day (there are many Western options, which is a plus). The option to reserve a free e-scooter every day was excellent! But the real plus is the staff; they're incredibly kind. They greeted us at the front door upon our arrival, offered fresh fruit every day, helped us with activity reservations, and even took us to the train station. Highly recommended!

The room is built right by the river; opening the window reveals the quietly flowing water and continuous mountain peaks. In the morning, mist swirls, and in the evening, the glow of the sunset paints the water – it's unbelievably beautiful.
The bedding was very comfortable, and the facilities were clean and well-designed, with thoughtful touches evident everywhere.
The service was also very attentive. The front desk lady was gentle and enthusiastic, and her recommendations for local Guilin rice noodles and the Yulong River bamboo raft route were excellent.
Sitting on the riverside terrace at night, feeling the breeze and listening to the water, I felt completely healed. It's not just a hotel; it's a place where you can truly find peace of mind. The hotel also offered a complimentary travel photography session, and the photographer was very enthusiastic. Thumbs up! [Strong][Strong]

BBeizhuyixiabaThe location is excellent, very close to the 20-yuan Lijiang River scenic pier. The environment is clean and tidy, and the room is very spacious. The service attitude is superb. I booked for two nights and was supposed to check out by 12 PM on the third day. However, on the second night, my child was hit by a car and transferred to Guilin Hospital. It wasn't until the evening of the third day that my husband had time to go check out and pack our luggage. The owner kept the room for us and didn't rush us to check out at all. The owner is a truly compassionate person; they repeatedly inquired about my child's condition, didn't charge us for the late checkout, and even gave my child a red envelope. For this booking, the owner truly went above and beyond, practically losing money. Such big-hearted owners are truly rare. I wish the owner a prosperous business and abundant wealth. Thank you for your immense kindness.

GGuest UserThis was such a pleasant surprise! With the heavy downpour outside, booking this mahjong room was absolutely the right decision. It's clean, I mean, super clean! I really hope the owner continues to prioritize cleanliness as the foundation of their accommodation. It was so comfortable and surprisingly quiet. The only tiny thing was the pillows were a bit too high, which I mentioned to the landlady. The service attitude was impeccable – just the kind of comfortable vibe you want. We initially booked for one night, but after seeing the place, we immediately extended our stay for another day, delaying our trip home. We're so grateful for this fantastic guesthouse; it was such a relief after we had the worst guesthouse experience of our lives the day before. The contrast made this stay absolutely perfect, haha!

GGuest UserThis villa is absolutely amazing, the entire design is just my style. There are projectors both upstairs and downstairs, which is such a thoughtful touch, and the landlady even specifically bought a vanity table. The location is also fantastic, a 15-minute drive to the town, and just a 10-minute walk to the Yulong River Old County Pier.
I especially have to rave about the hotel bar! The landlady personally mixes drinks for you, and the cocktails are genuinely delicious. She used to be a bartender in Chengdu, and her drinks are even better than ones I've had in Hong Kong! Plus, the bar's decor is really cool, with an American record vibe. I really urge the owners to promote the bar more! The landlady even gave me a free bartending lesson – a truly unique experience!
And the room was spotlessly clean with a beautiful view!

WWusuobunengdexiaoheigeI’d been eyeing this place since its Alila days, but only managed to visit after it was delisted. Post-delisting, it feels too much like an influencer hotspot, losing that luxury resort charm.
Our room was arranged too close to the road. The trucks speeding along the mountain road made closing the windows almost useless. What I found most unacceptable were the linens. I really want to ask, how many years have these linens been in use? Whether it was the pillows or the duvet, there was absolutely no sense of comfort or luxurious embrace you’d expect from a luxury resort. Just rough, heavy, suffocating fabrics, combined with the noisy traffic from the road, made for terrible sleep. I strongly suggest the hotel updates its linens, especially the pillows, as they are crucial, while also upgrading other hardware. The hotel is beautiful, but that's all it has going for it.
Reconstruction under a historical building gives it a new narrative, but from many angles, the operations feel more like hype than substance. After seeing the business trends in Yangshuo, it's hard for this place not to follow suit. I still recommend everyone to come and experience it, but when the only link a hotel has to luxury resort status is its high price, it's difficult for it to truly thrive.

The hotel facilities are comprehensive, including a gym and a swimming pool. The bedding is soft, and if you're not used to the pillows, they even provide latex pillows. The toiletries are individually packaged mini bottles, which is a nice touch for peace of mind! The breakfast is plentiful and served semi-buffet style, with options like freshly made local specialty rice noodles. The public areas, such as the 'Sky Mirror' and the lobby, are great for relaxing, checking in, and taking photos. Parking is also convenient with a dedicated underground garage!

The service was excellent; they thoughtfully provided us with a guide to local dining, activities, and attractions. All the facilities inside were brand new and in perfect condition. The appliances, furniture, and leisure equipment were well-maintained, felt great to use, and were fully functional. The amenities were incredibly comprehensive, with everything from toiletries and relaxation areas to sunshades and convenient facilities. My room was spotlessly clean and thoughtfully prepared, and the disposable toiletries covered all my needs. The property has a mature and well-maintained system in place; the pool's water circulation system operates continuously. I saw staff cleaning the public areas multiple times a day, and equipment was regularly inspected and maintained, ensuring everything was perfectly cared for. The environment was clean and refreshing. Piao Qu is definitely my top choice for a vacation in Yangshuo!
