Guest UserI stayed at the May Fourth Youth Hostel for two nights, and my overall experience was very satisfying. It's located in the Xigong district, making it very convenient for getting around by taxi or bus. It saved me time getting to Longmen Grottoes and Yingtianmen. The hostel was clean, hot water supply was stable, and the bunk beds offered good privacy. The common areas were spacious. The staff were friendly, and for a solo traveler visiting Luoyang, it offered great value for money. After a tiring day of travel, I could get a good rest here. Highly recommended for backpackers.

My stay at the Xi'an Dongshed Hotel was unforgettable. The Tang-style design is elegant and comfortable. A special thank you to Taozi for their meticulous service; from check-in to check-out, their professionalism and warmth were constant, with thoughtful reminders. The hotel also has free parking, which is very convenient, making my trip feel extra secure. I genuinely recommend it!

GaLa Homestay is located right inside Lijing Gate, and stepping out, you're immediately on the snack street – super convenient! The owners are incredibly nice and friendly. They also have adorable pets, a dog named Cola and a cat named Fanta, who are very affectionate. The complimentary cocktail from GaLa Pub was also delicious! Although the homestay is within the scenic area, it's a quiet oasis amidst the hustle and bustle. The decor is very cozy, and the hygiene is excellent. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I visit Luoyang!

Eina ZeeThis is a good choice when I made my booking to an unknown city. Location wise so near to main attraction such as Louyang Ancient City. It does not sit exactly in the main street so you have to walk a bit roughly 200m inside. With luggage maybe found bit difficulty as uneven stone pathway to the hotel. Though this should not dampen your mood for staying here. I got ground floor. I guess those without balcony were given groud floor. It have high floor to ceiling window/sliding door facing the main pathway. Can't really open the curtain then everyone pass though will see you. Upper floor should not have this issue. There this side upright chair/cusyen where one can just sit and lounge around eating all the snack one just bought outside the street. TV is big I do not have time to watch any. I think tis the subscription version. All necessary amenities is available. 🤷 There's washing machine but only operational 10am to 10pm and I didn't have time to use it. Ground floor may have issue with sound as I can hear upstairs things moving around but I'm so tired from all day walk so this just temporary nuisance. All in all I highly recommend this place if the area you intended to visit is around the hotel.

Luoyang is truly a city you won't want to leave once you've arrived! So many museums to explore, endless beautiful sights to see. I stayed here for all 4 days of my trip, and the hotel was fully equipped, with excellent service and a fantastic location. It's far enough from the noisy city center but still conveniently close to the attractions – a taxi to any major scenic spot never cost more than 15 yuan. I'll definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit!

Guest UserThe owner and the cleaning staff were really nice. There were complimentary water and drinks, and the hairdryer was excellent! The room was lovely, and the location was very convenient. It was also quiet at night, which was great for sleeping.
The only downside was a persistent bad smell in the bathroom. The owner explained it was a backflow smell after the rain and kindly moved us to a better room. However, even in the new room, the smell lingered for two days despite no rain. The air purifier in the room didn't seem to help much. I'd suggest the owner look into optimizing the drainage system. Additionally, there wasn't enough storage space for luggage, which was a bit inconvenient for long-term travelers like us.

AerbanigegeThis hotel was another pleasant surprise. Right after booking, I received a call from the butler asking about my arrival time and if I needed airport pickup. Since we were driving, they provided parking directions. We arrived late at night, and everyone, from the gate guard to the front desk staff and the team member who showed us to our room, was incredibly welcoming. I asked for only Coke in the mini-fridge and no other drinks, and they executed that perfectly.
The room was very spacious, and I loved that the hot spring bath was indoors and separated from the bedroom by a sliding door – that's a brilliant design.
The hotel butler was excellent and reminded us about breakfast. Oh, by the way, if you stay here, don't miss breakfast; that bowl of beef noodles was a real delight. If you need to go to a scenic spot, just contact the butler, and they'll do their best to arrange for a hotel car to take you there, which is a great service.
Overall, it was a very enjoyable stay. Thanks for everything!
Welcome Fruit: Very sweet and a good variety.
Minibar Drinks: If you run out in the room, just grab a Haibi drink from the restaurant to enjoy.
Rose Petals: A whole tub full of romantic ambiance.

Guest UserLet's start with the positives: This is an older, established hotel. While the facilities show their age, many small details highlight their service philosophy. For example, the 'Whim Card' lists numerous small items they can provide, which is very comprehensive. The TV remote control was disinfected and packaged. The mini-fridge contained local, classic sodas. This shows that their overall service is on point. The room was spacious enough and I didn't notice any major issues with cleanliness. Breakfast was abundant and very good.
Now for the negatives: The facilities definitely need an upgrade. The computer still runs on Windows 7, and the software versions are even older. It should just be removed, there's really no need for it to be there. I suggest repairing the bathroom and faucets. The switch for diverting water between the bathtub and the showerhead isn't properly sealed; when you run the bath, the showerhead drips everywhere. The same issue exists with the shower itself. Also, the air conditioning refilled water at night. The gushing sound around 11 PM startled me; I thought there was a leak. It could easily be refilled during the day instead.

Luoyang Ludao Shisanshe: A Hidden Gem in the Ancient Capital
Half the surprises of a trip to the ancient capital of Luoyang come from its natural landscapes and cultural heritage, and the other half undoubtedly belong to Ludao Shisanshe Hotel. This designer hotel, tucked away in Luolong District, completely overturned my expectations of accommodation from the moment I stepped into its courtyard.
The location is a golden coordinate for cultural tourism, with impeccable convenience. A five-minute walk will take you to the Sui and Tang Botanical Garden, where you can admire peonies in spring and ginkgo trees in autumn – a feast for the eyes in every season. A five-minute drive will take you to the Luoyang Museum to touch history, and thirteen minutes will take you directly to the Longmen Grottoes. Catching the high-speed train is just a seven-minute drive away, eliminating any worries about transportation. Parking is available right outside the hotel, making it incredibly convenient for travelers with cars. The surrounding environment is also exceptionally quiet, offering tranquility for resting at night.
The ambiance exudes elegance and Zen-like tranquility. Upon entering, you're greeted by a gently flowing misty water system, interspersed with flowers, plants, fish, and birds, instantly evoking the ethereal beauty of a Jiangnan water town. The all-wood décor, complemented by master calligraphy and paintings on the walls, and the pleasant fragrance wafting through the corridors, makes every corner feel like an art gallery setting—perfect for taking photos anywhere. I especially loved the outdoor loft; gazing at the Wangcheng Bridge from the railing, the expansive view instantly relieved travel fatigue. The rooftop terrace was the perfect spot for relaxing with tea.
The rooms are filled with thoughtful details and quality. The smart home system can switch between reading, romantic, and other modes. Dyson hair dryers, Jasmine toiletries, and Evian mineral water all exude sophistication. The brand-name bedding is so soft it's addictive. Some rooms include a bathtub and bath salts, along with complimentary tea bags and snacks. A bath before bed followed by a glass of warm milk provided by the hotel is pure bliss. The hygiene was impeccable; the bedding and towels were spotless and fresh, even the toothbrushes were soft-bristled and gentle on gums—the attention to detail truly shone through.
The service was so warm and welcoming that it's unforgettable. Someone called in advance to confirm my needs and proactively turned on the heating, making the room cozy and inviting from the moment I entered. The receptionist patiently answered all my questions, and the staff even brought hot water and fruit—the butler service was truly exceptional.
The dining experience was a delightful surprise. Breakfast was authentic Chinese cuisine, with a full range of options including steamed buns, porridge, and fried noodles, plus complimentary refills of Pu'er tea and coffee. In the summer, they even offered free ice. The individual servings at the main courses were a truly special experience. The abalone, sea cucumber, and other ingredients were fresh, and the secret dipping sauces were incredibly delicious. Dining in a Suzhou-style courtyard setting was a feast for both the taste buds and the eyes.
Having stayed at many hotels in Luoyang, Ludao Thirteen Lodge stands out as my top choice.
