Hotel near Old Town Center,Luoyang
Luoyang, this flower city gently caressed by time, as an ancient capital with a history of thousands of years, bears the profound heritage of Chinese civilization. Historical buildings are scattered all over the place, and every brick and stone tells the stories of the past. Wandering along the winding streets and alleys of the ancient city, the blue bricks and black tiles are arranged in a well-proportioned manner. Among them, the Jiyuan Huanqin Hotel in Luoyang is like a warm and gentle pearl, quietly inlaid there, constructing a warm resting haven for travelers coming and going. The Jiyuan Huanqin Hotel skillfully integrates classical charm with modern style. It not only perfectly preserves the thick texture of history but also subtly incorporates modern elements, making comfort and convenience always accompany you. Stepping into the hotel is like stepping into a piece of history that has been sealed up. The aroma of time permeates every inch of the space. Staying here, every night is a dialogue with history, accompanying you to sleep leisurely in the long river of history and immerse yourself in a distant dream. For tourists who are passionate about history and culture, the Jiyuan Huanqin Hotel is undoubtedly the best choice during their journey, making your trip to Luoyang overflow with a unique humanistic atmosphere and a pleasant experience.

"This is a good choice when I made my booking to an unknown city. Location wise so near to main attraction such as Louyang Ancient City. It does not sit exactly in the main street so you have to walk a bit roughly 200m inside. With luggage maybe found bit difficulty as uneven stone pathway to the hotel. Though this should not dampen your mood for staying here. I got ground floor. I guess those without balcony were given groud floor. It have high floor to ceiling window/sliding door facing the main pathway. Can't really open the curtain then everyone pass though will see you. Upper floor should not have this issue. There this side upright chair/cusyen where one can just sit and lounge around eating all the snack one just bought outside the street. TV is big I do not have time to watch any. I think tis the subscription version. All necessary amenities is available. 🤷 There's washing machine but only operational 10am to 10pm and I didn't have time to use it. Ground floor may have issue with sound as I can hear upstairs things moving around but I'm so tired from all day walk so this just temporary nuisance. All in all I highly recommend this place if the area you intended to visit is around the hotel."

My stay at the Xi'an Dongshed Hotel was unforgettable. The Tang-style design is elegant and comfortable. A special thank you to Taozi for their meticulous service; from check-in to check-out, their professionalism and warmth were constant, with thoughtful reminders. The hotel also has free parking, which is very convenient, making my trip feel extra secure. I genuinely recommend it!

We stayed for 2 nights. The city is great and really differs from other cities we went to. We can not recommend this stay enough. The room was great, everything was really clean. Bed was the comfiest bed we slept on. Bathroom is spacious enough. Location is great, basically the biggest attractions in the city (Luoyi Ancient City and Sui Tang National Heritage Park) are 15 minutes away from you. The biggest plus that we have from this stay are its hosts. When we were going to Longmen Grottoes, Wang showed us cheaper route with a bus and though we didnt have cash on us, he gave us without hesitation and didnt want us to pay him back. At the end he gave us enough bottled water for 2 days basically. His wife also was really kind and helpful. Overall, a great experience which we cant recommend enough! Would definitely come back!

This stay far exceeded my expectations! The hotel's location is excellent, making it incredibly convenient to get around. The room was spotless, spacious, and bright, with incredibly soft and comfortable bedding that ensured a peaceful night's sleep. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, and the check-in/check-out process was efficient and thoughtful. The facilities were well-maintained, with consistently reliable hot water and Wi-Fi throughout my stay. Breakfast offered a great variety of fresh and delicious options. Overall, the value for money was outstanding – truly more than I anticipated. I highly recommend it and will definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit!

Luoyang is truly a city you won't want to leave once you've arrived! So many museums to explore, endless beautiful sights to see. I stayed here for all 4 days of my trip, and the hotel was fully equipped, with excellent service and a fantastic location. It's far enough from the noisy city center but still conveniently close to the attractions – a taxi to any major scenic spot never cost more than 15 yuan. I'll definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit!

The owner and the cleaning staff were really nice. There were complimentary water and drinks, and the hairdryer was excellent! The room was lovely, and the location was very convenient. It was also quiet at night, which was great for sleeping. The only downside was a persistent bad smell in the bathroom. The owner explained it was a backflow smell after the rain and kindly moved us to a better room. However, even in the new room, the smell lingered for two days despite no rain. The air purifier in the room didn't seem to help much. I'd suggest the owner look into optimizing the drainage system. Additionally, there wasn't enough storage space for luggage, which was a bit inconvenient for long-term travelers like us.

My trip to Luoyang was made even better by the Banshan Siji Hot Spring Hotel. It's very close to both the high-speed train station and the Longmen Grottoes. The hotel itself has beautiful landscaping and excellent facilities. The guest rooms are modern and stylish. The butler service was professional and attentive. I stayed for five days and four nights, and enjoyed looking at the lovely courtyard every day. It was a real treat! Next time I visit, I'll definitely choose Banshan Siji Hot Spring Hotel again!

Luoyang Marriott Hotel

Upon check-in, the female staff member was chatting and typing, handling my check-in carelessly. It took ten minutes, and she finally rushed through it, claiming she gave me a high-floor, quiet room as requested in the notes. However, I was given the 17th floor, which is the hotel's second-lowest floor. Her work was clearly a mix of deception and sloppiness! As soon as I entered the room, the building opposite and the hotel's room block were incredibly close. I asked to switch rooms, and the same female staff member at the front desk impatiently switched me to a room by the stairwell. It was like choosing between quietness and building distance yourself?! This kind of service is simply speechless, and this is a Marriott. With three people, including a child, we had to call for extra toiletries and water every day. On the last day, the shampoo ran out while I was showering… Can you believe it? The three stars I'm giving are for the pool staff and the male front desk staff member who checked me out on the last day; they were polite, enthusiastic, and attentive. The pool was clean and hygienic. The hotel lobby only had one long sofa that could seat three people, and the check-in efficiency was poor!

I had heard about Huayang's excellent service before, and experiencing it firsthand was truly wonderful. Upon check-in, I was offered a hot towel to clean my hands. The front desk lady smoothly took my ID and immediately put a protective cover on it. The room was clean and tidy, and there was an abundance of toiletries. Every staff member was very friendly, always greeting me with a nod whenever we met. During a typhoon, my laundry wasn't drying well, and the staff promptly helped me resolve the issue. What really stood out was returning to find my clothes, which I had hung in the bathroom, had been taken out and neatly arranged on a drying rack. It felt like a 'snail girl' (a mythical helpful fairy) had visited – these small gestures made me feel incredibly cared for. Next time I'm in Luoyang, I will definitely stay at Huayang again. Looking forward to my next visit!

Let's start with the positives: This is an older, established hotel. While the facilities show their age, many small details highlight their service philosophy. For example, the 'Whim Card' lists numerous small items they can provide, which is very comprehensive. The TV remote control was disinfected and packaged. The mini-fridge contained local, classic sodas. This shows that their overall service is on point. The room was spacious enough and I didn't notice any major issues with cleanliness. Breakfast was abundant and very good. Now for the negatives: The facilities definitely need an upgrade. The computer still runs on Windows 7, and the software versions are even older. It should just be removed, there's really no need for it to be there. I suggest repairing the bathroom and faucets. The switch for diverting water between the bathtub and the showerhead isn't properly sealed; when you run the bath, the showerhead drips everywhere. The same issue exists with the shower itself. Also, the air conditioning refilled water at night. The gushing sound around 11 PM startled me; I thought there was a leak. It could easily be refilled during the day instead.

Luoyang Ludao Shisanshe: A Hidden Gem in the Ancient Capital Half the surprises of a trip to the ancient capital of Luoyang come from its natural landscapes and cultural heritage, and the other half undoubtedly belong to Ludao Shisanshe Hotel. This designer hotel, tucked away in Luolong District, completely overturned my expectations of accommodation from the moment I stepped into its courtyard. The location is a golden coordinate for cultural tourism, with impeccable convenience. A five-minute walk will take you to the Sui and Tang Botanical Garden, where you can admire peonies in spring and ginkgo trees in autumn – a feast for the eyes in every season. A five-minute drive will take you to the Luoyang Museum to touch history, and thirteen minutes will take you directly to the Longmen Grottoes. Catching the high-speed train is just a seven-minute drive away, eliminating any worries about transportation. Parking is available right outside the hotel, making it incredibly convenient for travelers with cars. The surrounding environment is also exceptionally quiet, offering tranquility for resting at night. The ambiance exudes elegance and Zen-like tranquility. Upon entering, you're greeted by a gently flowing misty water system, interspersed with flowers, plants, fish, and birds, instantly evoking the ethereal beauty of a Jiangnan water town. The all-wood décor, complemented by master calligraphy and paintings on the walls, and the pleasant fragrance wafting through the corridors, makes every corner feel like an art gallery setting—perfect for taking photos anywhere. I especially loved the outdoor loft; gazing at the Wangcheng Bridge from the railing, the expansive view instantly relieved travel fatigue. The rooftop terrace was the perfect spot for relaxing with tea. The rooms are filled with thoughtful details and quality. The smart home system can switch between reading, romantic, and other modes. Dyson hair dryers, Jasmine toiletries, and Evian mineral water all exude sophistication. The brand-name bedding is so soft it's addictive. Some rooms include a bathtub and bath salts, along with complimentary tea bags and snacks. A bath before bed followed by a glass of warm milk provided by the hotel is pure bliss. The hygiene was impeccable; the bedding and towels were spotless and fresh, even the toothbrushes were soft-bristled and gentle on gums—the attention to detail truly shone through. The service was so warm and welcoming that it's unforgettable. Someone called in advance to confirm my needs and proactively turned on the heating, making the room cozy and inviting from the moment I entered. The receptionist patiently answered all my questions, and the staff even brought hot water and fruit—the butler service was truly exceptional. The dining experience was a delightful surprise. Breakfast was authentic Chinese cuisine, with a full range of options including steamed buns, porridge, and fried noodles, plus complimentary refills of Pu'er tea and coffee. In the summer, they even offered free ice. The individual servings at the main courses were a truly special experience. The abalone, sea cucumber, and other ingredients were fresh, and the secret dipping sauces were incredibly delicious. Dining in a Suzhou-style courtyard setting was a feast for both the taste buds and the eyes. Having stayed at many hotels in Luoyang, Ludao Thirteen Lodge stands out as my top choice.
