What did we like:
We like the spacious rooms
The location is next to the train station
The luggage and house keeping staff are friendly and helpful
Beautiful view from from the apartment
The bar was fun to hang out and have a beer
What did we not like:
We did not get what we booked and paid for at this accommodation. They combined our rooms and called it an upgrade.
Rooms were not ready at check in time and we were told to pay more if they gave us the room at 1:30 to leave our bags.
The lady at the front had a breakdown and was rude when we asked for the rooms we booked and not their upgrade.
Lastly check in and check out takes a min of 20 minutes so be prepared to wait.
Experience dated : 06 Feb 2024
All in all, this accommodation is satisfactory.

Address Sky View is undoubtedly a great hotel.
I like how organized the workers are especially
The housekeeping guy Aanand, a conscientious hardworking guy. He attended anytime we called on him.

I have a very negative opinion about this hotel. I booked a Deluxe room with two separate beds with full payment, when checking in at the reception at 16:00 (check-in from 14:00) they said your room is dirty - I will give you a drink of coffee or tea. There was no answer on how long to wait and why the number was not ready. They offered a room with one king-size bed, I agreed well with this option, the whole evening I asked 4 times for a second blanket, which was never brought. Mom and her adult son had to sleep under the same blanket, I am outraged and I paid for this in advance!!! The area towards the sea is cozy with parks, fountains and a golf course, on the other side there is a desert with barbed wire. Booking a transfer to the beach is problematic, there are few places and booking for two days in advance is impossible, only for the next one (but everything is already booked there), it’s better to do it at night after 24:00 right away. Two towers - one hotel with transfer included, the second tower of apartments without transfer, however, people from the apartments manage to run ahead of everyone and take up seats on the bus and others from the hotel do not have enough seats when going to the jbr beach. There’s also a bird’s nest right above the entrance to the hotel, it dived into my head twice and all the workers saw it and shrugged. Breakfast and lunch are good! Water in the room is constantly replenished free of charge. Room 0414 is damp and cold, the floor in the bathroom is cold like in an operating room, they turned off the air conditioning and opened the window to warm up. Neighbors say, knowing about this problem of rooms, they asked for rooms higher, about the 20th floor and above, they are better there. There are many grocery stores nearby, which is a plus. You can walk to the metro, but you can also take a shuttle to the Emirates Mall and get on the metro straight from the Mall. Hot water tends to run out at lunchtime when the hotel's consumption is high. It's easy to find yourself lathered under cold water.

CITY PREMIER HOTEL APARTMENTS - Dubai
*Location: (5/5) about 5mins walk from the station (Business Bay Station). 12-15AED taxi ride from Dubai Mall/Burj Khalifa.
*Reception/Check-in: (1/5) We arrived early, like 7am, and asked if we could leave our luggage as we explore the city. The hotel's official check-in is at 3pm. We were told they'll have a room ready before 3pm so we can come back around 12pm. Which we did. Past 12pm, I spoke with the same male receptionist in the morning and was told to wait as they prepared our room. And we waited. WE WAITED TILL 3PM! We wasted more than 2 hours waiting at the lobby! We had no problem coming back after 3 pm. I understand you're busy. I get it that locals have to be catered first. BUT don't tell your guests they can check in before the official time if you can't deliver. As a paying customer, IT IS ABSOLUTELY, NOT COOL.
*Room: (4/5) It is spacious. 2 toilets, a washer, full kitchen. The bathroom is a bit old, but clean. The room has an IRONING BOARD, BUT NO IRON. Adapter is available upon request at the reception. They refill your bottled water in the room and make the room every day, which is a plus.
*RESTAURANT: (4/5) Breakfast was OK. The staff were GREAT! They were attentive to all guests not only to selected guests. KUDOS to the crew at the restaurant.
*AMENITIES: (3/5) Too bad we had limited time in Dubai. We weren't able to make use of their pool and sauna. It's on another building (parking area) accessible through a bridge. The staff were accommodating and allowed us to check the area.

Took a staycation holiday at the Palm and it was wonderful. The theming inside the hotel is gorgeous and the pool area is very pretty. I would advise couple travellers to think about the time they book as it can get really busy with families and small children that can influence the vibe.
Food here is very overpriced and being so far away can make you feel trapped into buying very expensive meals. We went to Jamie Oliver’s Street Pizza restaurant which comps your meal if you make a new record of slices in your meal. I set two new records and had a meal comped for myself and my fiancé.
We did buy a pin-a colada in a pineapple each at the bar and though it was very expensive for a drink, it was probably the best pin-a colada I ever had.
The service can get tedious as you are asked at every corner of the hotel for your room number, I guess they have issues with people from the Waterpark trying to sneak into the hotel.
The waterpark was a bit of a safety hazard but I’m sure a great day out with the kids.
We had a great time, however I think for what we were looking for we would have preferred a more intimate getaway at a shangri-la for the price.

Best and cozy place to stay during short travels, rooms are bit of packed and small, but having all the amenities within the room and doesn't have to request from service desk.
1 large glass filterd tap water bottle with free refills are provided instead plastic bottle water. Better avoid self parking as free valet parking is provided and there is no direct access to the lobby from basement parking (vise versa).

My wife and I stayed at the Shangri-La Hotel in Dubai on March 31, 2024. Our first impression was already very satisfactory. The hotel lobby is spacious, bright and elegantly decorated! All employees' service attitude is polite, sincere and attentive!
The biggest surprise was that they upgraded the ordinary room we booked to a deluxe VIP room. Although it was only about 11 a.m., they led us to the leisure room on the 41st floor to enjoy refreshments, and immediately assigned us to a hotel room on the 40th floor. VIP room for
We rested, very considerate!
In addition, we also tried the famous Vietnamese restaurant in the hotel. The food is not only diverse, but also delicious and attractive in appearance!
In summary, during the three days and two nights I stayed in the hotel, I felt 100% at home, even a little surprised! Ha ha!
If we have the opportunity to travel to Dubai next time, we will definitely choose to stay at this Shangri-La Hotel!

The Lana forms one half of a striking interconnected building with a central podium for shops and restaurants.
Its positioned in the vibrant Business Bay area beside Downtown Dubai. Here you find yourself at the very heart of life in Dubai - whether enjoying strolls along the canal/ taking boat trips to the beach at One at Palm Jumeirah or exploring the nearby Downtown.
The hotel is designed to make the most of the city captivating vistas either looking out across the north west / facing the Burj Khalifa and beautiful sunsets or the south and east with far-reaching views of Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary / Dubai Design District and the desert landscape.
The name The Lana has multiple meanings. One in its Arabic translation evokes a warm sense of belonging.
Another means to gently float in calm water like the waters of the Dubai Canal. To us it simply represents a place of tranquility / comfort and exceptional hospitality.
The Lana has received numerous awards including Conde Nast Traveller Hot List 2024 - Hotelier Middle East Breakout Property of the year and featured on the worlds 50 best hotels list.

This hotel is a new city hotel opened this year, just like One&Only One‘Zabeel, and its positioning is similar, so it can be compared. First of all, in terms of the room, this hotel has a balcony, so you can lie down and look at the skyline without going out, which is a big plus point, but OOOZ does not have it. Secondly, I personally think that the swimming pool of this hotel is better than that of OOOZ, because on the one hand, it is closer to the skyline, and on the other hand, there are more viewing angles, which is extremely suitable for lying down. However, this swimming pool does not allow cameras to enter, but OOOZ does not have this rule. In addition, the staff at the pool asked us what we wanted to drink. We ordered two glasses of orange juice, but the staff did not remind us that we had to pay. Before leaving, I saw that the bill for two glasses cost 90 dirhams. So you must ask clearly whether anything provided is free. For breakfast, I ordered in-room dining, and the lana breakfast of 255 dirhams was enough for two people, but it is not recommended in terms of cost performance. In terms of public areas, this hotel is not as rich as OOOZ, but public areas are not that important for city hotels. Overall, it was a satisfactory stay.

GGuest UserWe had a one bedroom suite with a kitchen with sea view. It was very well equipped, with dishwasher and washing machine. Very comfortable bed. Very clean on arrival and cleaned every day with fresh towels etc. The hotel has excellent facilities - large restaurant area, gym and swimming pool. Breakfast choice was superb. It is very well located - short walking distance to the Tram (Palm Jumeirah station) and the monorail to the Palm. Most notably are the hotel staff who were always welcoming, polite and helpful -especially Main at the hotel reception who was very helpful when we needed a doctor

IIpek EmilyMy husband and I had our first holiday as a family of three with our 7 month old baby at Voco Dubai The Palm Hotel. We chose this hotel as it had a private beach (we didn’t want to spend time travelling to a beach each day), was located away from the chaos of Dubai, offered a king size bed (I cosleep with my baby), and there was an option for including breakfast (again did not want to spend time searching for or travelling to a breakfast location with a baby). Compared to other surrounding hotels, it is a relatively small and new hotel. However, this only enhanced our positive experience as it added a more personal touch. The valets (sorry I didn’t catch their names!) took our car down to the car park while other members of staff took our luggage to our room. Diana at the front desk was the first team member we met inside and made us feel very welcome. Our room was very spacious and clean. Thank you to Arun Gawam from Housekeeping! We enjoyed our coffee pods and Biscoff biscuits provided after each thorough clean. Some reviews mentioned noise but we only heard some drilling upstairs during the day and some music outside on Friday and Saturday night. Neither of these bothered us or our baby. The breakfast buffet was amazing and had plenty of choice with some of the options changing on each day so we had some variety. The welcoming, dynamic staff knew our tea and coffee orders from day one and always greeted us with smiles. We were asked daily if we wanted our eggs cooked in a certain way. This was great because our baby is just getting started on solids. Our baby girl loved seeing all the hardworking, smiley members of staff waving at her every morning. I would particularly like to thank Rojean, Rashmi and Aldrin as well as Fasha, Shiela, Juliet, Dioseth, Anu, Marion, Fhaizan, Amin, Chef Prabin, Chef James, Chef Anyu, Ariz, Sun and Puja. The private beach was a highlight of our holiday. We loved the easy and quick access to the beach with bottles of water and beach towels provided upon arrival. The cabanas were great for privacy as I had to breastfeed my baby on the beach. The WiFi was hit and miss on the beach but I guess that helped us relax more. Thank you to Bidan, Chamodi and Roni for taking care of us there! The only downside for me was the lack of power socket to plug the hairdryer in the bathroom or next to the mirror in front of the bathroom or by the mirror in front of the desk. We had to plug the hairdryer in the socket by the bed and therefore had to dry our hair on the bed, which wasn’t a major issue, just an inconvenience and a little loud right next to our baby. Overall, it was a great holiday experience thanks to each and every member of staff!

GGuest UserThe Obelisk, Dubai Club upgrade is a must! The 360 degree views from floor 51 are unforgettable. I enjoyed many a cup of tea on Floor51 viewing amazing sunsets, the night sky and watching the coloured lights on the Burj Khalifa. During a very hot period due to a sudden change in the weather it was a treat to be able ‘pop’ to floor 51 and enjoy tea/coffee, afternoon tea and drinks in the evening whilst enjoying the stunning views. An excellent breakfast with a wide variety of items to meet all dietary needs. The room was lovely with stunning views. The swimming pool allowed a good swim and was particularly pretty in the evening. Fascinating watching the window cleaners! Not a job I would want. I am full of admiration. We did receive an upgrade as we waited 90 minutes to check in for club class. Staff need to be more relaxed. Just feel they are on edge. Your plate disappears nearly before you have finished eating. This in turn put me on edge. A more welcoming atmosphere needs to be adopted but still remaining standards. A special thank you goes to 'Satish' (do hope I have the correct name). He provided me with excellent service. i do say a very big 'thank you' to him. Satish you left me with some very interesting thoughts! To which I say thank you.
GGuest UserIt was an amazing service& food! I like everything in this restaurant and I will come and visit again. it was my pleasure to be served at this wonderful dinner Chef Song Mi, Sean Nicco Drew, Elly. I've already sampled everything on the menu, and I can honestly say that the Korean food is the finest, therefore I highly recommend trying it. So delicious, and so lovely!

KKenneth RonaldThis was my first stay at this hotel since it was rebranded, however I have stayed over 60 nights in the past 8 years when it was a Hilton branded hotel. The ownership of the hotel hasn't changed, just the branding.
So, with all that said, all I can really do is compare it to the hotel it used to be. The hotel closed for like 6 months last year and did some renovations, reopening as the Golden Sands Hotel Creek. Still a great location near the airport (DXB) but far enough out of the flight path that aircraft noise isn't really an issue. The hotel is now alcohol free.
The main renovation I noticed was all new carpeting throughout and a new pool deck on the top floor. The carpet color scheme is a bit odd, with lots of light colors that already are showing stains and marks. It is a DEFINITE improvement from the old carpet which was very dated. The lobby is nice and sparkly but I always recall it was that way. The rooms were exactly the same with reupholstered furniture (still the same chrome framing and styling) and the glass top desk, wood style cabinets and black tile bathroom.
I was on the 8th floor in a ”Creek View” room (yes, I could ”see” the creek) but what I really saw was the huge LED info sign on the Chamber of Commerce building that I think might be new since I last stayed in April 2021. It was really an annoyance and reminded me more of Las Vegas than Dubai. The bed was comfortable but I'm unsure if it has been replaced.
Other things I noticed: bathroom sinks still drain slow; there is no way you can take a shower without partially flooding the bathroom floor; I think they removed a phone; they moved the Qibla compass from the glass desktop to the ceiling. Looks like they removed the sheer curtains and perhaps have replaced the blackout curtains.
What has really changed was the pricing. I paid almost double per night from what I paid in the past,
Check in was the same, always a bit slow. Since I booked through a travel site who required prepayment, all I had to pay for was the nightly some-sort-of-tax-or-fee which I was aware of. They didn't ask for nor perform a charge on my credit card so I could charge things to my room, which I found out the next night when room service ask for payment. I went the front desk the next morning and made the arrangement but somehow room service never could see that it was done so I had to pay at the time of food delivery.
I thought I was told at check in that rooms would be serviced daily but I had to call daily and they always took the used towels but never gave me clean ones until I called back. I was either asking for the wrong thing or there is a serious training issue.
Otherwise the room was fine although they did add a Do Not Disturb/Clean Room/Doorbell panel at the door.
The breakfast buffet was nice, lots of variety and it seems more Middle Eastern style items which was great, but also very suitable Western Style foods in plenty. I frankly only ate the breakfast buffet once in the past, almost always eating breakfast and a light dinner and aperitif in the Executive Lounge (which is now closed but looks exactly the same through when you look in).
So, here's the bottom line...... The hotel is nice, clean, a bit updated and still a nice boutique hotel in the Deira district, close to the airport and a larger souk A great view of the city and Dubai creek from the pool deck. If you stayed there when it was a Hilton, you will probably be a bit disappointed. The staff seemed nice, attentive, but somewhat untrained. Getting a simple document printed turned out to be a challenge and the business center was closed for some reason that didn't make sense to me. I will probably not stay there again and return to the Sheraton up the street. (which a staff member told me to go if I wanted a beer). Otherwise, give it a try and check it out for yourself!
PS: Did I mention it was alcohol free? :)

GGuest UserWonderful and charming hotel. Very clean rooms and areas surrounding. Definitely will be back.
P.s. please change your pillows, they are flat like paratha. Had neck sprains both days I stayed there because of the super thin pillow..:)

GGuest UserThis is one of the best apartment hotels I have enjoyed in all my previous visits to Dubai..My family also enjoyed it so much. Friendly staff, excellent service, rooms space, amenities, location..many nice things. The breakfast buffet was very good & I would like to thank the team who served us daily during breakfast-mainly, Vinesh , Jean , chef Kanti, Bjay & Imran…very friendly & professional staff..i would rate them 10/10.. thanks to all of them, they have made our stay an enjoyable one. I would definitely stat again in the Marriott Executive apartments.

GGuest UserI had an amazing one night stay at the QE2 - as a Brit now living in Austrália the QE2 has a special place in my heart - never as a Cunard ship could I have afforded travelling to New York - now I could and the ship is sparkling - the renovation is fantastic throwing you back to the heyday of her life - the service was fantastic the food and drink authentic and worth the stay! My wife says I better come back with her
GGuest UserIt’s a good budget apartment hotel that you would get with all the good amenities of a 3-4 star hotel. Location is great, close to burjuman mall 15-30 mins by walk, 25 minutes to airport drive. Old souq, meena bazar pretty near.
With 24*7 supermarkets and restaurants 2-5 minutes proximity by walk.
Breakfast at restaurant is good with continental, Indian and Arabic offerings.
