Hygiene: Very good, the cleaning staff were diligent and responsible.
Service: Excellent, the front desk receptionists were very warm and welcoming.
Facilities: Very new! It's a newly opened store, so everything is very fresh. Even if there are some minor issues, they'll surely improve over time.
I've stayed at Dayin many times, so I definitely had to support their new branch! Happy 😁 I hope Dayin continues to get better and better! Give the staff at this branch a raise!!!

GGuest UserWhat an amazing experience! The front desk staff was so enthusiastic. When she saw me struggling with two suitcases, she greeted me while rushing over to open the door and even tried to help me with my luggage. It almost made this big guy embarrassed!
The facilities inside were exactly as pictured, even better. The absolute highlight was the huge 200-300 square meter drying area on the top floor – probably the largest online. Six washing machines and dryers lined up in a row were a huge convenience for long-term guests, and the drying area has a transparent roof, so it's good come rain or shine. The drying area is so massive that a portion of it has been converted into a relaxation zone, with starry string lights on the ceiling. Imagine a few beers and a barbecue up there on a summer night – simply fantastic!

Right outside the door is the subway, no need to wait for buses or taxis, you can go wherever you want, whenever you want. These past few days in Shanghai, I woke up naturally every morning, then slowly took the subway to explore, and came back when I was tired at night, with absolutely no hassle. This kind of travel is truly relaxing! Front desk staff Xiao Wang provided excellent service.

What's more, the common areas also feature self-service amenities and a relaxing tea lounge. I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time I'm in Shanghai for either business or leisure.

It was both economical and comfortable, with no cramped feeling at all. The location is superb, making it easy to get anywhere. Xintiandi, with its many delicious food options and fun activities, is right next door. Next time I'm in the area, I'll definitely stay here again. I especially want to commend the front desk service, which was on point and incredibly thoughtful, making me feel right at home. The hostel's vibe is truly excellent, I genuinely recommend it.

JJohnnyfromLAAka “Dengba Inn” on southern edge of Jing’An district, 15min walk from Former French Concession area. Good hostel overall, medium size (holds ~100ppl but feels cozier), seems all Chinese nationals (I saw 1 other foreigner the entire time). Cheap price for FFC, 1/3rd the price of hostel dormbeds directly in FFC area. Surrounding area is not that busy with many restaurant options. If you’re calling car and not actually walking to FFC everyday, I’d just stay further and call taxi to reach FFC.
Good size rooms, comfy sturdy beds…light, plug, many hooks & hangers, AC. My 4-bed dorm had lots of storage, also workdesk in room. Some 6-8 bed dorms have private bathrooms. Largest 10-12 bed dorms don’t have workdesk and storage in room. Shared bathrooms not the cleanest but doable, nice that some have sink and toilet together. Lowcost laundry machines, free detergent, but machines didn’t work while I was there.
Vibe not social at all. Just dozen people coworking/eating in quiet common areas, no music played. However very peaceful with plenty of seating and lounge space to work without distractions.

BBlackeyedsamuraiBooked this hotel last minute, cause my favorite hotel is closing down business this month and i wanted something nearer cause I’m well versed with the surrounding areas, 1: the first red flag is the reception, mail and deliveries are all piled up and falling off shelves, it’s so dirty and humid, it looks like a hoarder’s poach, they’re no waiting chairs, so you’ll stand while they process the guests that came before you until it’s your turn !! The receptionists are very nice and helpful .
2; no room housekeeping ( you’ll have to ask for someone to come take the rubbish and give you towels or change your bedding.
3: THE FILTH!!! The filth is on level 1000/100 the grime made it hard for me to shower with my eyes open, I’m not sure if the place has a manager and if they care about the the wellbeing of the clients , because from what i saw, the cleaners don’t even bother, the floor had food stains from i think when they just opened, the sink🤮 the bathroom ( that one corner gave me the hibbigibeis) the toilet seat was broken
, everything in the bathroom was broken and dirty , then my charger fell in the space which is between the bathroom glass and the bed, got down to retrieve it and i decided it was best to just a get a new charger instead.
The place if cleaned and cared for would be an amazing hotel apartment, it has great amenities , a washing machine a fridge and a drying rack if you upgrade to a bigger room, a kitchenette that would be great if you are interested in cooking and staying longer and it’ has an Aldi downstairs, a gym and lots of other great places surrounding it . I really hope the owners would read this and take it into consideration and carry out serious supervision or else their property will lose value, The hygiene of the hotel does not only ensure the health and wellness of the visitors who sleep in those walls but also keeps the property value up. Dirt And filth only brings it down and puts the health of others at risk . I really hope they change standards.
