Novotel Sydney City Centre

"The location is in the city center, there are 2 Japanese restaurants that operate until 10 PM on the left side of the hotel main door , and there is a convenience store on the right side of the door that operates until 2 AM, which feels like a 24-hour store. There is a Starbucks across from the convenience store on the right. Very convenient. The hotel's cocktails are also very good to drink, being lazy to go out, order a drink downstairs and read a book is very good. The hotel breakfast is a very traditional Australian breakfast, bacon, hash browns, eggs, milk, fruit. It has everything you need, and it's amazing that there are special dishes from the chef every day. The first day was fried rice, and the second morning was bread with a soft-boiled egg and cheese sauce on top, which was delicious A 5-minute walk away to Barangaroo Where I see is that there are many restaurants with different flavors, this time I tried Thai food, it is really authentic, business dinner here is a good choice. This is also a ferry station, but I don't know where it goes."

"A bit of a hit and miss. Some things were brilliant (great barista made coffee at breakfast! Eco friendly with even their teabags!) and some things were not so brilliant (massive queues to check in and check out as only 2 desks! Only found out on the last day of our 6 day stay that there was a breakfast menu you can order from and not only eat from the buffet but staff never offered it! Random maintenance men entering our room at 9am even thought we pre-agreed the time was to be 12 noon! No heating in first room leading to a change in rooms but without a bathtub and without apologies! Had to wait til 1am for a small portable fan heater to be delivered and heat the room! Credit offered for no heating not actually being applied to the final invoice! Room service ordering app doesn’t work! Etc etc). After my complaints were raised Emma did her best to try to help."

Also the hotel located in front of LRT QVB so it convenient when you have to travel to Circular Quay, or somewhere. Also nearby there’s supermarket too which we loved it! We buy groceries (especially beverages) there 😊 Although the room bit compact, it was so clean and feels new. Thank you! 😊"

"We loved our stay at Hyatt Regency. The location is very convenient and walkable, especially when traveling with kids. We were able to easily walk to Barangaroo, SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium, and WILD LIFE Zoo, which made our trip very relaxed and enjoyable. The room is on the smaller side but comfortable, clean, and felt very safe and secure for our family. It’s also close to shopping areas and nearby parks, which our kids really enjoyed. Our only small concern is that the breakfast selection was almost the same each day, but the food quality was good overall."

The Fullerton Hotel Sydney ★★★★★
"The room is spacious enough for 3 adults and 2 big luggages. The view outside is tower clock. Beds are big enough for 2 adults to sleep together or 1 adult + 1 child. What I don’t like is how they clean up the room. With the carpet floor, I found the room is quite dusty when we arrive and most of the nights so we have to ask for additional cleaning to make it better. Some used utensils and coffee cups were left on the table after housekeeping. I would expect better cleaning quality for 5-star hotel. Breakfast is so-so, not so many choices especially protein. Can’t find any protein in the breakfast, except eggs."

"Very central location and great service! The concierge team has done a great job in ensuring we have a pleasant stay and thank you so so much for granting us an early check in and waiving the parking fees for 1 night! The breakfast is also quite nice and they do have an egg station where they will prepare simple egg dishes according to your order! Will recommend travelers who would like to opt for a slightly newer hotel located within the proximity of the town!"

Sydney Harbour Marriott Hotel at Circular Quay ★★★★★
"Let's start with the positives: - Location is perfect, 5min away from Circular Quay, 10min walk from the shopping area of Pitt street. Right in the city center. - Staff is nice, giving small gift to our kid. Breakfast is also quite good. - We were able to do an early check-in at 10am without surcharge, which was very nice after an overnight flight. Now for the negatives: - Room is small and basic for a 5 star hotel, shower room is very simple, you'd expect more for a premium brand like Mariott at a price of 500 AUD for a night. - The harbor bridge view room is absolutely not worth it: you need to be at your window and looking on the right to see it. Completely useless. The real view is currently a construction site. Very disappointing. - Cleaning is not done properly: there were still some crumbs on the floor after the room was cleaned, and worth, there were 3 pairs for previous guests slippers under the bed! To conclude, it's not worth it. Next time I'll probably stay again at the Shangri-La for a similar pricing."
