Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour

This is my second time staying at the Sofitel Darling Harbour for my Sydney trip. I had a great experience two years ago, so I chose it again. The hotel is centrally located in Sydney, close to most attractions, and transportation is incredibly convenient. Highly recommend it to everyone!

The room was fantastic – spacious, with a super comfy bed and bedding. They even had welcome chocolates, which was a world apart from the Sofitel I stayed in later near the Opera House. You could see Darling Harbour right from the window when you pulled back the curtains. Breakfast was also excellent, with a great variety. You do need to order eggs and hot drinks from the staff. The hotel's location is good too; it's not far from the Fish Market, Opera House, and Chinatown.

The amenities provided are complete and sufficient. 3. The hotel boasts excellent facilities, including a swimming pool and fitness area, perfect for relaxation. The overall atmosphere is quiet and peaceful. 4. The front desk staff are approachable, and the check-in and check-out processes are smooth. Any requests or communications are handled promptly. The service is generally satisfactory. 5. The breakfast offers a wide variety of choices, catering to popular tastes and diverse dining preferences. Overall, the stay was consistently pleasant and comfortable.

The hotel's front desk staff was excellent, especially the Chinese lady who upgraded us two levels for free! The hotel is very clean and the location is convenient. The only downside is that it's a bit old and not very new.

Absolutely fantastic! Definitely book a room with lounge access. The lounge view is truly breathtaking. Book early, book early, the early bird price is incredibly attractive. The hygiene was also impeccable. On the evening of check-in, they even did an additional turndown service.

This hotel is pretty good overall. The lobby has a great vibe, much better decorated than many places that claim to be 5-star. The surrounding area is really nice; Darling Harbour is right downstairs, and it's a quick walk to Chinatown. Plus, the neighborhood feels safe and not chaotic, so I think it offers great value for money. In Australia, you always have to ask for toothbrushes and slippers, which can be a bit of a hassle, but generally speaking, it was a good stay. The bed was notably larger than many other hotels, which was a real plus. One odd thing, though, is that there wasn't a weighing scale, which is unusual as even four-star hotels usually provide one.
