Unlike another countries that require a separate tourist arrival card before arrive at the country, Brazil's Federal Police provides an online migratory pre-registration form that requires travellers to complete.

Does Brazil Have an Arrival Card?

Brazil has an official Entry and Exit Card and also provides an online Migratory Pre Registration service which allows travellers to fill in their migratory information online and generate a form with a QR code that can be used for either entry into or departure from Brazil.

The difference is that online pre registration is intended to speed up immigration processing but if the online system is unavailable or a travellers cannot complete the pre registration, the Federal Police says the normal immigration process at the immigration booths can still be used.

The Federal Police describes the Migratory Pre Registration as a service to speed up and simplify the process at the immigration.

For this reason, travellers should not confuse the pre registration with countries where an online arrival card is an absolute pre travel requirement.

All individual is required to fill in the form including children and make sure that their travel documents and any additional documents are ready.

How to Complete Brazil's Migratory Pre-Registration

Step 1: Open the Online Form

Go to the official Migratory Pre-Registration service provided by Brazil's Federal Police.

The online service is available through the Federal Police's system.

Step 2: Enter Your Traveller Information

Fill in the required information carefully.

The information entered is the traveller's responsibility, and incorrect details can cause delays during immigration processing.

Step 3: Select Your Travel Date

The form allows you to select your expected date of entry or departure from Brazil.

The Federal Police says the traveller can choose a date within a period of up to six days.

The form can be used on the selected date or the following day; otherwise, a new form must be completed.

Step 4: Generate the QR Code

After completing the form, a QR code is generated.

You can print the form or keep it on your smartphone for presentation at immigration.

Step 5: Present It at Immigration

When entering or leaving Brazil, present the QR-code form together with your valid travel document if requested.
