The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff were friendly. The facilities were good, and the location was convenient. Overall, it was a pleasant experience to stay at this hotel.

Discovered this place when I was in the area to wat my lunch at Hao Bi (do try their Roasted Goose & Roasted Char Siew). The service apartment is very new. The L2 Canton mall is still reasonably empty (waiting for tenants to fill up). Head up to car park Level 4 when checking in instead of coming from level 2. Note that there is a RM150 deposit required upon checking in whcih is strictly at 3pm only.

Location of hotel is good. Its near to KSL with good access for food and entertainment / shopping. Crazy lots of massage options around too for singaporeans. Generally room is clean and comfy, bed is soft and sleep quality i had when i was here was great. Service of reception is good too and they recently upgraded to carplate recognition system. But the procedure doesnt seems mature yet. Had once i extended my hotel but the car plate didnt. Couldnt exit the hotel and system still prompted me to pay :/ Breakfast is good and i have always enjoyed it here. Facility however still have room for improvement, mainly the program of elevator. During peak hours waiting for elevator can be insanely long... and i still can see lots of elevator not moving. Hope this can be fixed... keep up the good work for now and i definitely hope more improvement can be possible !!

A very comfortable stay for a night at Opero Hotel. It is convenient and walking distance to Midvalley Southkey mall. I will return to stay at Opero hotel again if I travel to JB.

I had a fantastic 3-night stay at the Holiday Inn Johor Bahru City Centre. Whether you are traveling for leisure, food, or shopping, this hotel is a brilliant home base. The biggest selling point is its unbeatable location. It is directly connected to Komtar JBCC and a stone's throw from City Square. Walking over from the CIQ Complex via the linked bridge was seamless, saving me from dealing with traffic. The hotel feels fresh and modern. My room was clean, quiet, and featured great lighting, ample charging ports, and Holiday Inn’s signature ”Firm/Soft” pillow options for a great night's sleep. The highlight of the property is definitely the rooftop infinity pool, offering stunning sunset views over the city. Every staff member I met was warm, polite, and efficient. For the price point, location, and quality, this is easily one of the best hotel choices in JB. I will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful 3D2N stay at JB R&F Cove 180 Degree Seaview 1BR Unit With Balcony from 20–22 June 2026. The location is excellent—just a short walking distance from the CIQ JB custom, making it very convenient for travellers coming from Singapore. The apartment is also located right beside R&F Mall, so food, shopping, and daily necessities are easily accessible. There's even a 24-hour coffee shop right below the apartment, which came in handy for late-night snacks and early-morning coffee. The unit itself was perfect for a couple's getaway. We especially loved the quiet and peaceful sea view from the balcony. Waking up to the calming scenery and sea breeze was truly relaxing. Although the washing machine does not have a dryer function, the strong sea-facing wind allowed our clothes to dry completely overnight, which was a pleasant surprise. That said, having a 2-in-1 washer-dryer would make the stay even more convenient and save guests’ time. For those who prefer their laundry dried quickly, there is also a laundromat conveniently located right below the apartment near the 24-hour coffee shop, making it an easy alternative. The kitchen was well-equipped with a proper refrigerator featuring both chiller and freezer compartments, as well as a microwave oven, which was a big plus point for us. The living area also came with a Smart TV that supports Netflix and YouTube, making it perfect for a relaxing movie night after a day out. One possible improvement would be the addition of a water filter dispenser, as it would provide even greater convenience for guests during their stay. Check-in was seamless and hassle-free. A friendly staff member personally escorted us from the check-in counter to the apartment, making the entire process smooth and welcoming. We didn't have enough time to try out the condo facilities such as the swimming pool, gym, and sauna, so we're unable to comment on those. However, getting around was very convenient. We booked Grab rides to Angsana Mall for a spa massage and to X-Park for go-kart and ATV rides, and both journeys were quick and hassle-free. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay. The apartment was comfortable, well-located, and offered a peaceful environment for a relaxing getaway. We would not hesitate to stay here again on our next trip to Johor Bahru. Highly recommended!

The hotel is very comfortable with delicious food, connecting to the mall and shopping area. However we experience a fire alarm on 11 May at 2am. The announcement was broadcast in malay language for multiple times before the announcement was finally made in English to ask us to make our way down the staircase to the assembly point. We walk all the way down from level 11 to level 7 and met someone who mentioned that the assembly point door at level was unable to open. Hence we U-turn back to level 7 and it was told that it was false alarm. The hotel lobby apologised to us and ask us to return room. Next day when we checkout, they gave us a Hyatt place tote bag as a service recovery gift. Things to take note of if a real fire happens 1) all announcements need to be done in English immediately too for all international guests for them to escape immediately 2) all door need to be open if any fire happen, otherwise everyone will be caught in the fire with no escape route 3) the escape route was not clearly indicate when we are escaping to the assembly point too Do take note for future guests that is staying in too

The best things about this room are - fantastic expansive view of the surrounding. - swing chair overlooking outside. - Japan style concept living room and 1 of the bedrooms. - easy to collect key. - have food shops nearby. - aircons good. - amenities provided. What I don’t like - toilet shower very cramp area - ants in living room and dining area - the Japan concept bedroom is right above aircon compressor so not good for light sleepers as it will run a loud humming sound every few minutes.
