"Close to the station and amenities are substantial.
Even women can stay with peace of mind. The parking lot on the premises was required to be reserved, but I was relieved that there was a parking lot within a short walk."

Outstanding
KKiara QueenIt’s the third time we came to Yufuin. Previously, we stayed in onsen hotels with meals provided. This time we are staying for 2 months in Japan to experience the local life, and Yufuin was our third stop, where we stayed for 6 nights.
The service is top notch. The host responded very quickly whenever I had queries, and very clear instructions for free pick-up were given days before check-in. As we stepped in the house, the air- conditioner had already been turned on there were 3 big bottles of water in the fridge which made us feel so welcome. They collected our trash every day and asked us what we needed.
The guesthouse is an independent unit full of beautiful Japanese decorations. It was sparkling clean and thoughtfully furnished with everything you need. A first-aid box was provided. We were given 12 sets of clean towels and toilet amenities, including toothbrushes. We have stayed in different apartments before and have never experienced this.
More importantly, the kitchen was well equipped with everything—many cutlery items of different sizes and even wine glasses. There were a hot pot and a frying pan, a toaster, rice cooker, coffee machine, and even a dishwasher. You can't imagine there is even a massage chair! The bathroom was designed like an onsen. You can simply add some onsen powder to enjoy a hot bath.
You can easily access different attractions on foot. The location is about a 20-minute walk to the nearby supermarkets, 25 minutes to the main shopping streets, and 30 minutes to the JR station. If you drive, it is even easier. For us, we enjoyed walking and seeing the beautiful scenery, so it was not a problem for us even though we didn’t drive. Every day we walked to the supermarkets and bought fresh produce to cook. We had so much fun making different dishes and hot pot.
When we asked for a whetstone, the host quickly gave us theirs, and the next day, they bought us a new one. They even gave us sake as a gift. On the day of check-out, the host drove us to the JR station and helped us store our luggage in the visitors’ centre.
Next time when we come to Yufuin, we will definitely stay here again. It’s really great value for money.
BBoganIt's a 15-minute walk from Beppu Central Station. The area is very pleasant and quiet, with many cozy establishments with unique ambiances. The hotel has a pleasant common area on the ground floor, with a reception area and kitchen. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Thanks for the recommendations for dining options. After 10:00 PM, entry is with a PIN code on the keys. The room is huge, with three beds, a large restroom, and a shower. Everything is rather basic, but comfortable and clean. The elevator closes its doors very quickly, so be sure to get in before you leave. Overall, it's a good budget option for an overnight stay if you're not looking for anything fancy.
AAnonymous UserI stayed here for 2 out of 3 nights. I booked it because of its good location, affordable price, and the fact that I could smoke. The exterior is surprisingly old, which caught me off guard at first, haha.
I booked a Japanese-style room, and once inside, it had a wonderfully calming and indescribably lovely atmosphere. After a tiring day exploring Yufuin and Beppu, returning at night felt like coming home; the fluffy futons, table, and Zaisu (floor chairs) were incredibly comforting. The front desk staff were all very kind gentlemen. Even though it was close to 11 PM, when I asked to borrow a hairdryer, they offered to bring it to my room instead of making me go get it, showing excellent service. I always choose Japanese-style rooms when available (as I dislike beds), and this has become one of my favorite hotels.
Although old, it was meticulously clean. The cleaning staff I met in the morning were as polite as the front desk, making for a pleasant check-out. If I ever go to Beppu again, I'd definitely want to stay here! The station is right in front, so I could reach the bus, tourist information center, and coin lockers in just a minute first thing in the morning, which made my Saturday trip, even with the crowds, very comfortable.
As it was my first time in Kyushu, it made for a great memory. Thank you!
葉葉小向Stayed here for several days and it was absolutely fantastic! Everything was great – clean, comfortable, and spacious. I slept in late every day. It's walking distance to the beach and shopping areas. The common lounge on the first floor offers unlimited complimentary beverages, and there's a kitchen for self-catering. Most importantly, my father smokes, and the designated smoking area was set up so pleasantly and comfortably; smokers truly feel respected here. Simply amazing! The staff were also very kind and polite.
GGuest UserSuper friendly hostel with lovely dorms, very spacious pods and cute little onsen. Private onsen also available.Free parking was a great perk and staff super friendly
GGuest UserThe location is remote and the transportation is inconvenient. I called the hotel but they didn't answer the phone, so I had to take a taxi. There are not many taxis in Yufuin... It's about 160 yuan...
It's like a small house in the countryside, more suitable for older people to drive by themselves. The surrounding area is very desolate and not recommended for children.
There are about 7-8 households in the whole yard, with a total of 4 private baths, which need to be used with a sign. The outdoor pool is also outdoors, and it's very windy and cold in winter...
Dinner is OK...
TTraveller JTLove their open air onsen and the location is just opposite to the train station. If u wish to stay at Yufuin, this place is a good choice with the amount of money they charge for a night as the price of the hotel in Yufuin if relatively more expensive than Beppu. The room is abit dark, during my stay one of the lights is not functioning, but I still think it worth the price and I decided to extend another night here after I checked in.
MM475804****The hostess of this B&B is a very neat and tidy lady. She even cleaned our luggage wheels for us and carried our bags upstairs, then reminded me specifically about trash sorting. I was quite diligent about sorting my trash during my two-night stay, which was fine since I'm also very particular about it. Due to the language barrier, on the first night, I went to use the private hot spring and accidentally wore my shoes inside the small cabin. I'll definitely be more careful next time! This B&B is quite clean, and I'd probably stay here again on my next visit!
GGuest UserAlthough the facilities were old, the staff were friendly and the food was good.
The open-air hot springs are especially nice as they are buried in nature.
AAnonymous UserGreat location. The soundproofing isn't very good. There's no towel rack. The breakfast was terrible; the fish was overly salty, fishy, tough, and dry, with an unbearable smell. The toilet emitted a foul odor multiple times. The refrigerator was a bit noisy. The bed was too soft.
