Great hotel, perfectly situated near Paphos Harbour, the staff were helpful and the rooms were immaculate. The rooftop bar was nice and a good spot for a quick drink and nibbles. I would definitely come back.
My booking was 1 bedroom B/B basis.
The breakfast was buffet and had lots of choices to pick from.
The apt had a full-size fridge! It also had two TVs (one in bedroom) and onsite free parking
The breakfast was particularly good, lots of choice and excellent service. The breakfast supervisor has it running like clockwork.
The hotel in general is excellent at customer service- very personable and chatty.
The hotel is well located and nominally has everything.
But the hotel is extremely dilapidated.
The rooms are spacious and well equipped for a family vacation - there is a full kitchen, two bathrooms.
There are TVs, but no access to YouTube.
The air conditioner works in general, but the console is all broken and it is not immediately clear how it works.
All the mirrors in the bathrooms are already peeling off at the edges. The lamp in one of the bathrooms was constantly blinking, there are streaks on the ceiling, the sinks and faucets are leaking. And the water in the shower stall spills onto the floor as if there is no door at all.
The door handle to the loggia is so loose that it is scary to touch.
But in fact, you can use all this with gritted teeth. They clean every day and quite carefully.
The spa pool smelled slightly of chlorine, a lone cockroach was running around, but you can swim, there is a jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. It is much more pleasant to swim in the outdoor pools, of which there are three, including a paddling pool.
The cuisine in the restaurant and bar is cheap and tasteless.
In general, you can stay, but it is difficult to enjoy your stay.
I liked the minimarket at the hotel with many useful things.
Lidl is nearby.
The lawn at the hotel is beautiful, it is great to watch the sunsets.
The breakfast at this hotel is very good, there are more than 10 kinds of bread, 3 kinds of eggs, a lot of cheese, 4 kinds of freshly washed fruits, two pots of diced vegetables, fresh vegetables, many kinds of sausages, I don’t eat, so I don’t pay attention, there are also Oatmeal, tomato, soy, western food, typical breakfast with ample side dishes, drink is basically only you can not think of, there is no such thing, but yogurt is not seen, this breakfast restaurant is large, can be used outside the house, good environment service Intimate, the most pleasant surprise is that there are a few cats around the people are not afraid to ask for food, eat breakfast to the invincible beach walk, life is the happiest, but the hotel room is 2 meters, room facilities are OK, sitting The balcony is also good for watching the sea, it is super soundproof, the sound in the corridor is very large, the hotel location is a bit far
The Akamanthea Hotel in Polis Chrysochous is a real gem in Paphos. The location is excellent – close to all the main attractions, including the famous Yiannakis Beach, the charming Polis harbor, and the breathtaking Akamas Peninsula. The hotel offers beautiful views and a relaxing environment that makes it perfect for both couples and families.
The staff are very friendly and welcoming, the rooms and facilities are spotless, and the breakfast is tasty with plenty of options. The large, clean swimming pool with a pool bar is an ideal spot to spend the day under the sun.
With its combination of comfort, cleanliness, great service, and reasonable prices, it truly is value for money. Whether you’re looking for a peaceful getaway or a base to explore the area, this hotel is exactly what you need for a memorable holiday.
Loved the location. the staff were excellent, polite and genuine. A special mention goes out to Maria, front desk manager. She was humerous, and very knowledgeable of the area. She provided me with maps, and some background history of Cyprus, which i was very much appreciative for.
My room was clean, The cleaning staff were very persistent in wanting to come and clean the room when we were still there, it was a little annoying, but i admired their dedication.
the hotel is beautiful, Very much so an intimate setting.
Definitely worth rebooking.
The staff was very flexible with every request/need we had, including a very generous late check out. The meals were very diverse, although not 'high end'.
The beach is very convenient, in a 'private' bay..
A great hotel!
Mayfair Hotel in Paphos is a solid choice! 👍 The location is great, a walkable distance to both the harbor and old town. My double room was spotless, and the service was super polite. The hotel boasts excellent cleanliness standards, which I appreciated. Even in winter, the indoor pool and gym let me keep up with my routine. I found the staff friendly and the variety of amenities impressive, especially the food. Overall, it was a comfortable and convenient stay – I'd recommend it! 😎

Very Good
GGuest UserArrived late due to a problem with a precise explanation and key box.
Attentive multilingual staff, including French, which isn't mentioned on the website.
Everything was exactly as described on the website.
Pleasant stay

GGuest UserGreat hotel design and hardware with mediocre service:
Spacious room, great location, beautiful compound and design (as long as you don’t get one of those side rooms that faces the back of a building or the carpark). Wide range of selection for breakfast.
It’s weird that the carpark is a little further away and you’re supposed to call a number at the gate every time for them to open for you. They said it’s toll free but I doubt it’s free for an international line. I don’t know who would spend international calling rate to call the number as most people uses esim today. The way they challenged me and say “why don’t you just call” and insisted it was free just made me feel very disappointed. There’s also no refill of the room’s coffee station (it’s chargeable)- I guess it’s because they call themselves a suite/ service apartment. There were a few other examples of mediocre services: not deal breaker but could have been better.
Overall I would say it is good value for money given the spacious and beautiful room, so simply don’t place too much emphasis and expectations on service then you’ll be fine.

AAroundTheWorld356I had premium garden cabana with sea view. There is nothing premium about this cabana there is no garden and sea view is limited. Room are clean and service is good but rooms and hotel needs upgrade and maintenance ie. in my room floor was falling apart. Pool is very nice. Access to beach ONLY via few steps. On the beach you need to pay for sunbed and umbrella if you want to use it otherwise you can lay on the towel/sand. I was at the end of September and age average in this hotel was well above 65-70 so no young couples or families at ALL. Overpriced for the overall quality.

GGuest UserOverall a lovely stay. A very clean hotel with some good facilites. The desserts were amazing and the food was well cooked.
A few things would have improved the stay further:
Pads on the bottom of the wooden chairs in the dining room- the scraping noise was awful as they were pulled out from, or pushed into the table.
There was too much single use plastic used,eg at the bars etc
The food could have been more varied.
These are simple things that would add quality to the hotel
GGuest UserWe booked a Xmas break. The hotel had really made an effort to look after children and adults. Simple entertainment throughout the festive programme including quizzes and other activities. Children well catered for including a visit from Santa. Really good tasty food and exceptional Christmas Eve and Christmas Day buffets. Staff worked hard. We asked for a quiet room which we got. Very nice room and comfy bed.
