DDainiqubianquanshijieLet me talk about some aspects beyond the rooms. Even after checking out, if your flight is in the evening, the hotel still provides an exclusive area for showering, getting water, charging devices, and resting. The facilities are comprehensive and clean. The family-friendly amenities are incredibly well-equipped, featuring three large water slides, a kids' slide, and water spray equipment. There's also children's bowling, bubble shows, character interactions, and much more, with different activities every day. They also offer some paid activities for children. The adult and children's pools are well-separated. I had hoped to see the bonfire show, but it was unfortunately canceled due to the weather. For sunset views, you can simply watch from the hotel. The hotel has various restaurants, where you can enjoy a buffet or à la carte dinner. I do hope they can manage the insects in the restaurants, as there were flies during breakfast.

KKT5009Don't book during the rainy season, don't book during the rainy season, don't book during the rainy season. It's from Sep to Feb. I said 3 times it's important if you don't wanna ruin your holiday. We booked 3D2N in mid Sep. Our holiday turned out to be a staycation nightmare in the resort. We can't do all the water activities neither the jungle trekking. The water heater in our room is not working, we have to shower with shivering cold water in this kind of weather. Lots of big size anta inside the room crawling from the bathroom to the bedroom. Make sure you cleaned up for your snacks and drinks, tie up the garbage bag if you don't want these insects to come to your bed, There is also a landslide happening on our first night, luckily we are not affected as we stayed in the ocean villa. There is only one restaurant in this resort, food prices are the same as SG restaurant pricing, no cheap option here. In room dining needs to pay RM25 extra. Staff service is good but this cannot cover the several run down part of the resort.

AAllenYenThe service at Shangri-La is simply beyond words, from the attentive care before check-in to the complimentary drinks offered while waiting to check out – it's truly a super five-star service experience! A fantastic stay! The absolute highlight is the free shuttle bus service. You can take it from the hotel to the airport, as well as to IMAGO Mall and Suria Sabah Shopping Mall in downtown Kota Kinabalu, all for free. This is a huge plus! Although the hotel's location is a bit far from the city center, the free shuttle completely solves this issue, perfectly addressing guests' transportation needs. Superb!

GGuest UserI stayed in Kota Kinabalu for five days, and my two-day stay at the Hyatt was excellent, even surpassing the more expensive hotel I booked for the latter two days. On the first day, we arrived early and our room wasn't ready yet. It was so hot that we rested in the lobby and asked if they could provide some ice water. To our surprise, the warm and thoughtful hotel manager immediately brought us a plate of fruit to help us cool down – that really left a great impression! The room has an open layout and is very spacious. I highly recommend booking a villa room with a sea view; the sky at dusk is incredibly beautiful. The hotel breakfast also offers a wide variety of choices. Overall, a fantastic experience! All the photos are views from the room's window.

AAnonymous UserOverall, it was pretty good. My take on Kota Kinabalu: sunsets are free, but a sea-view room isn't. However, it's worth it. I stayed at the Kota Kinabalu Seaview Hotel for three days and was completely captivated by the sunrises and sunsets. This sense of relaxation is the true essence of a vacation. Who says you have to brave the crowds to see one of the world's top 3 sunsets? I watched it right from my hotel balcony.

GGuest UserThe service was good and the views were absolutely stunning. However, the room itself felt a bit old and, as a result, didn't seem as clean as it could be. It's a great place for families, with very convenient access to dining, accommodation, and transportation. There are all sorts of activities, both on land and in the sea, or you can simply enjoy the beautiful ocean views and sunsets. GGuest UserEverything was perfect. Every staff member at the resort was incredibly welcoming and helpful, even the maintenance workers I passed on the paths greeted me warmly. The food in the restaurant was delicious, and breakfast was absolutely perfect – I couldn't find a single fault. The resort doesn't cut back on service or close facilities just because there are fewer guests, which is great. It was a perfect getaway, and I will definitely be returning.

YYangbianyanzhongcemaThis resort has three hotels within it, and it's not too far from the airport, about a 15-minute drive. It's also on the flight path, so you will hear some airplane noise. The hotel environment is very comfortable, with both a beach and a golf course. You'll need to take a shuttle to get in and out of the hotel as it's a bit far from the main road. It has the vibe of an older, established hotel, and the facilities are pretty decent – no real need to be picky. The bed was a bit small, though. It has everything you'd expect from a resort. The toiletries aren't great, so you might want to bring your own.

TTravelwithBamThe staff friendliness is just amzing 10/10. Excellent Service. Our room had amazing view of the sea and opposite resort called Gayana. Dinner: Only Buffet option is available and its about RM167/person +taxes. The spread are fairly good and it is delicious. Though they do have 2 more different Restaurant in the island,Japanese and fine dining. Breakfast: Included in the room price. Menu changes daily. I have nothing to complaint about the room, for us its comfortable. All rooms have exactly the dane Designs the only difference is where it is located. You are paying for the view. Activities: For me I think 3 days 2 nights are perfect to spend your time here, swimming by the pool, kayaking, snorkling,Jungle trekking, visiting the private beach. 1 hour complimentary use of snorklinh masks. I like the public guests showers and towel provided.Very convinient. One thing that I would like to comment is the boat fees are relatively very expansive.15 mins speedboat per person one way cost about Rm80+taxes..Just return trip cost RM170++ per person. This is not even including island conservation fees and tourist fees. All this added fees makes the Hotel cost more expansive. Because a boat trip to nearby or same Island cost only Rm40. GAYANA ECO RESORT provided inclusive/complimentary return boat fees. I hope the Management can improve this because we as Guests are going to spend more money on F&B and at the Bar. Last but not least I would like to compliment the service and staffs in thsi Resort I think they did such an amazing job. Overalö the Resort is beautiful andclose to the nature.

GGuest UserThis village is all about beachfront holidays, and its pros and cons revolve around that. **Pros:** The private, secluded cabins offer unbeatable ocean views. You can lie on the terrace lounge chair at night, accompanied by the sound of waves and sea breeze, under a sky full of stars. During the day, various fish and birds keep you company. It's a diving resort, with both scuba diving and snorkeling available. I heard the diving is good, but I didn't try scuba. The snorkeling right off the beach near the village entrance wasn't great. So, we hired a private boat to go snorkeling elsewhere, which was excellent; we saw multiple sea turtles. **Cons:** What made it great also made it less so. The cabin is drafty on all four sides, and the air conditioning is really weak and blows directly onto the bed, almost making me sick. However, it was still better than opening the windows. The ocean waves in the morning were definitely louder than a bus downstairs. The most bizarre thing was that only the terrace had curtains; the rest of the cabin didn't. So, the morning sun shone directly onto the head of the bed, which I guess is due to its orientation. These are points where opinions might differ. Most frustratingly, aside from scuba diving and snorkeling, there are no other entertainment options in the village. Under the tropical sun, everyone just retreats to their rooms. Plus, scuba and snorkeling are handled at separate locations. I have to complain about the somewhat old facilities. You can see sea fish through the gaps in the wooden floorboards. The bathroom had various issues: the toilet needed two flushes (and I, being an engineer, still can't figure out why), the overhead shower only produced about a third of its normal water flow, with the rest squirting out horizontally onto the partition. Luckily, there was a handheld shower that worked for one day. The next evening, the handle broke off when I tried to turn it on, and water started gushing out. So, two security guards came, both claiming they were just security. The last time, around 11 PM, I was already in bed when three people arrived, again stating they'd fix it tomorrow. The next day, both showers were repaired... The food was... edible, I guess. In short, this village is a matter of personal taste.
