Nuojin Hotel

1. **Service:** Every security guard was incredibly warm and polite. As soon as we arrived by car, they helped us with parking and luggage. During our two-day stay, they washed our car for us both days. When we needed a taxi, the security guards actively helped us flag one down from the roadside. Special thanks to masters 41, 42, and 55, and all the other security guards whose numbers I might not have remembered. 2. **Location:** Although it's not in the old city center, it's not far from Jiayuguan Pass, Fantawild Silk Road Dreamland, and Fuqiang Market, about a 10-minute drive. If you want to try Jiayuguan BBQ, there's Glasses BBQ just a 10-minute walk away, highly recommended. The hotel also has direct access from the 4th floor to one of Jiayuguan's two largest shopping malls. 3. **Room:** Although a bit dated, it's well-maintained, spacious enough, and very quiet. 4. **Breakfast:** While not super extensive, there's certainly enough to fill you up. The Lanzhou beef noodles are freshly pulled by a chef and taste great. The small wontons have a Southern Chinese feel to them.

Perfect for families with kids! We booked this hotel last minute when we arrived in Jiayuguan, and it turned out to be amazing value for money. It was very clean and quiet, and the front desk staff were excellent. Seeing that we were two adults and two children, they upgraded us to a family room. The breakfast was surprisingly the best we had from Xining to Jiayuguan, with even crayfish, noodles, wontons, and rice noodles – absolutely fantastic! And to top it off, when we got into the car, we were pleasantly surprised to find that it had been cleaned for us. Thanks to the driver!

We drove from Dunhuang and arrived at the hotel very late the day before. So for the next day, we only planned to visit the First Beacon Tower, and it turned out to be a wise decision. Visiting both the First Beacon Tower and the Overhanging Great Wall in one day would have been too exhausting. 😓

Traveling with family, we arrived at the hotel late in the evening and were really touched by the hotel security guards. They enthusiastically guided us to a parking spot, helped with our luggage, and were so friendly. What impressed me most was that it had rained during our drive, and the security guards even manually wiped our car completely clean! I specifically noted down their numbers: 057 and 041! The hotel room was clean, soundproofing was excellent, and the breakfast was plentiful. It was a pleasant night!

The room was very comfortable and well-equipped, though the breakfast variety and taste were a bit underwhelming. What truly stood out were the two lovely elderly gentlemen, numbers 42 and 54, who managed the parking right outside. Their service was incredibly warm and friendly, and they even helped us wash our RV – so thoughtful!

The room was clean and tidy, and the security guards were warm and attentive. Special thanks to security guards 041, 057, and 042 who helped us with our luggage and even cleaned our car!

We stayed for less than 12 hours, so we didn't really get a feel for the place. We arrived after 11 PM. The bellhop was nice and helped us with our luggage to the room, but nothing else really stood out. It felt a bit old, like an older hotel. I didn't take any pictures, so here are just some random photos of Jiayuguan.
