I recently stayed at this hotel and had a truly wonderful experience from start to finish. From the moment I checked in, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. They were attentive, professional, and always willing to help with even the smallest requests. It really set the tone for the rest of my stay. The room was incredibly clean and well-maintained, with thoughtful amenities that made the experience both comfortable and relaxing. The bed was soft yet supportive, the linens felt fresh, and the overall setup of the room made it easy to unwind after a long day. Housekeeping did an excellent job each day, ensuring everything was spotless and perfectly organized. The location of the hotel was also very convenient, with easy access to public transportation, restaurants, and local attractions. Whether I needed a quick bite or wanted to explore the area, everything was within walking distance or a short ride away. Another highlight was the breakfast. The selection was impressive—fresh fruits, pastries, hot dishes, and great coffee. It was the perfect way to start the morning. The dining staff were friendly and kept everything well-stocked and tidy, even during busy hours. Throughout my stay, everything felt smooth and effortless. The hotel’s atmosphere was peaceful, the interior was aesthetically pleasing, and all the facilities were well taken care of. It’s clear that the management and staff take great pride in maintaining a high standard of service and cleanliness. Overall, I had an amazing stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. Whether you're traveling for business or leisure, this hotel offers an excellent balance of comfort, convenience, and exceptional hospitality. The hotel is very good, I said early that there is breakfast. But Chinese people may not be used to it. When I first came to the United States, I couldn’t eat that cold stuff. You can go out and buy something, or cook and eat yourself.

Although the facilities are somewhat outdated, the front desk staff were professional and courteous during check-in. However, the housekeeping service was extremely disappointing and significantly affected our stay. I requested room cleaning multiple times—more than four times through both the front desk and directly with staff. Despite repeated assurances, the room was never cleaned. Late that night, I had to contact the front desk again, and the only thing provided was a few replacement towels. This level of service is unacceptable for any hotel. The complete failure to fulfill a basic housekeeping request greatly reduced our overall satisfaction and left a very negative impression of the property.

Very interesting hotel with history. Visited every floor to check out background of the hotel. It was like a museum. Good 5 min walk to Mortgage event ctr. Resturants & pubs around. No parking facility for hotel but parked bout 5 min from place on W. Monroe where you can go in and out. Some parking facilities you can't go in and out for one price. Yes I would stay their again as the staff was very friendly & easy to talk to.

Very new hotel, the bed is very comfortable, the bathroom bath is also very large, the room is large, the lighting is very cozy, the location is in downtown, the parking lot is not free for about 20 knives overnight, breakfast is Starbucks & Bistro cooperation, Not a proper dinner, it is okay to eat light breakfast. Good value for money!

Great Location and Perks, but Where is the Staff? I’m giving this stay 3 stars strictly due to the service, which was among the worst I’ve experienced at a hotel. The biggest issue is the lack of presence at the front desk. At my scheduled check-in time, the reception was empty. I had to repeatedly shout ”hello” before anyone appeared. This happened throughout my stay—whenever I had a question about the weather or my tour, I had to yell for someone to come out from the back. If you aren't going to staff the desk 24/7, please at least invest in a service bell so guests don't have to shout. The housekeeping staff also seemed to be in their own world. They rarely acknowledged guests; in fact, I frequently found myself holding the elevator door for them to exit before me. When I asked for a shower cap, I was told they simply don't provide them. It’s a shame because the location is actually great and very quiet, with plenty of parking available. The hotel does offer some nice perks, like a free breakfast for guests and complimentary cookies in the pantry. However, unlike other places, the coffee and tea are pre-made rather than freshly brewed. Overall: If you value peace and quiet and don't mind hunting for staff when you need help, the location is fine. But the service culture here needs a serious overhaul.

The most beautiful thing was breakfast. We compared with other hotels which are we stayed before. They had just cereals. In this hotel there were boiled eggs, muffins, waffles, yoghurt, oatmeal, cream cheese, cereal... Location was really far from airport because we dont have any car. If you have car, it is ok. Last thing is cleaning. I disappointed because of this view. Sheets and pillows were really dirty.

Charming Nostalgic Vibes and Excellent Staffing I had a wonderful stay here and was particularly impressed by how well-managed the property is. The check-in counter was appropriately staffed, and the friendly team made the process seamless. Since the hotel is quite large, the staff provided a map of the vicinity and very clear instructions on how to reach our room. Even though our room was located quite a distance from the reception, we had no trouble finding our way. Parking was consistently busy, but despite the high volume of cars, we were always able to find an available spot without much stress. We absolutely loved the room! it has a beautiful nostalgic feel that manages to feel classic rather than ”old.” It was spotlessly clean, the beds were very comfortable, and the bathroom was huge. We didn't utilize the balcony since it faced the parking lot, but I imagine it would be lovely to crack open for some fresh air during the summer. One minor disappointment was the amenities. They provide Salt & Stone products, which we love, but unfortunately, the shower and bath gel hadn't been topped up prior to our check-in. It was a shame we didn't get to use them, but it didn't overshadow an otherwise great stay. Overall: A great blend of character and efficiency. I’d definitely stay here again!
