Stayed at Bayu View Hotel Melaka, a budget- friendly hotel with a good location that made it convenient to get around. The rooms were simple and cozy, providing the essentials for a short stay. Cleanliness was generally okay, but I did notice the bedsheets and towels were quite old and not very clean, which was a bit of a drawback. On the positive side, the staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. I also appreciated the water dispenser provided, which added convenience. Overall, it’s a decent option for budget travelers who prioritize location and friendly service, though the hotel could improve by upgrading its linens and towels.

No slippers were provided, and when I asked for them, they charged me two dollars. There was no toothbrush or toothpaste either, but when I asked for those, they didn't charge me. Maybe it's a cultural difference, and I was too embarrassed to ask why, fearing I'd be laughed at. The location is a bit desolate, but it's only about a ten to fifteen-minute walk to Jonker Street and several museums.

This hotel is one of my go-to budget stays in Melaka. The room is basic but clean and comfortable. Its prime location, with many eateries and shops nearby, makes it even better.

Check-in was marred by hidden fees that I had to pay in addition to the room rate itself. There were 3 ringgit, which were mentioned during booking, and a 10 ringgit tourist tax that Trip.com didn't disclose. Lim, the manager at the reception desk, handled the unpleasant situation very professionally and tactfully, and I'm incredibly grateful to him for that. The room itself was good, spacious, and clean, with fresh linen and towels. On the downside: There were small cockroaches, which, while tiny, were still unpleasant. The complimentary water provided was awful and seemed to be just tap water. It was undrinkable due to its taste and smell. Also, there was a continuous hum in the room, seemingly from a pump or battery, which made it difficult to get a good night's sleep. The location is a 15-minute walk from the historic street, which was acceptable for the price I paid – 40 ringgit plus 13 ringgit in tourist levies. However, the price increased on other days, and the room wasn't worth that higher cost.

The only plus is the hotel's price. It's located on the outskirts of the city, but there's a bus stop right around the corner that goes to the city center or the bus station. Both check-in and check-out are completely contactless. However, if you arrive without phone service, that's a problem, as all instructions only arrive once you're already there. The room was stuffy, the AC wasn't working, and the towels and blankets were worn out. The light in the bathroom kept flickering.

Honestly hoping to gate keep this hotel. Hotel Hong is a great choice if u re a down to earth person, who values a humbling short stay around Jonkers area. Location is walkable to Jonkers Street, just nice to keep u away from the noisiness of it for a good night rest - only if u re ok with paper thin, zero sound insulation walls. The room is compact, able to fit 2 pax but honestly just perfect for one. Aircond working well, if not there’s always the ceiling fan. The queen bed is comfy, towels are clean, water pressure is sufficient to rinse off shampoo for medium to long hair female, but no hair dryer to be found. Overall, the inside of the room and bathroom are clean, but not so much for the window parts, super dusty, and previous tenants clearly violates the no smoking rules as cigarette butts and undies were found threw away stuck on the window panes. Both room and bathroom have good natural day lights and ventilation, but it can attract a bit of mosquitoes if left open. Furnitures are old and worn out, still good enuf to accommodate a few days of stay. Plus, room air re freshener not working as well. And, the bathroom shelves were horrible slanted - couldn’t place toiletries without it fallen off. Although, it s located opposite the mosque, the call of prayer wasnt as much of a sound annoyance compared to the paper thin room walls. The bed head is situated against the wall of the next room which sadly is the bathroom, hence you can hear every flush, water pipe turns happening next door. Best of all, the aunty at the receptionist is the greatest, super accommodating, easy- going and friendly. Psst, theres an upstairs hangout area sorta like a rooftop, nice for a chill calm night, keep the rowdiness at Jonkers. Dont expect a VIP treatment, make the bed services. This is humble hotel, value for money stay that should only be appreciated by like minded travellers.

It's mostly good and the price was very attractive. There is no lift only the stairs. The room was very clean, it has a kettle and 2 mugs. There is a TV but no fridge. There are coolers on the floors. There was a door to the next room and one night ( about 11.30 pm) someone was tugging at the door very loudly. Luckily I made sure it was locked from my side. That was scary. The main problem is the location, it's really far from historical part but it's quiet. Taxi is cheap on weekdays, but at weekends prices are doubling and the traffic is bad. There is a cheap supermarket, Pizza hut and laundrette in the same building, KFC is very close. It's hard to evaluate the service as there is no cleaning in the rooms in Malaysia, there is nobody at the reception, it's self check in and check out ( as a foreigner I didn't have a self check in)

AAnonymous UserThis was my third time staying at this hotel. This budget hotel has a good location in the Melaka town area, making it easy to explore nearby attractions and famous eateries. The hotel decor and furnishings look rather dated, room was simple but comfortable, though the cleanliness could have been better. The Wi-Fi was not very stable, but the water pressure was great. A water dispenser is provided, and roadside parking is available.

TTiya TanOverall, this hotel is clean and comfortable. Here's what I liked: - The room had carpet, but it was clean and odor-free. - I really liked that the room had plenty of lighting! Usually, most hotels have very dim lighting in the rooms. - Regarding soundproofing, even though it's by the roadside, I couldn't hear any car or motorcycle noise at all! However, you can hear the vacuum cleaner when housekeeping is cleaning. - Parking was easy to find. - The shower pressure was great. - The air conditioning was cold enough. I'll definitely be staying here again next time! ✌

MMuhammad Irsyad Bin ZainiI recently had the pleasure of staying at OYO 90899 Tube Hotel Melaka and the experience surpassed all expectations. From the moment I stepped through the grand entrance, I was greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that set the tone for a truly memorable stay. The check-in process was seamless, with the staff demonstrating exceptional hospitality and efficiency. The attention to detail throughout the hotel was evident, from the elegant lobby adorned with tasteful decorations to the well-appointed rooms that exuded both comfort and style. Speaking of rooms, mine was a haven of tranquility. The furnishings were modern and plush, creating a cozy ambiance that made it difficult to leave. The bed was a highlight, offering a heavenly night's sleep with its luxurious linens and a selection of pillows that catered to personal preferences. The hotel's amenities were equally impressive. The fitness center boasted state-of-the-art equipment, and the spa provided a rejuvenating escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. I particularly enjoyed the rooftop pool, offering breathtaking views of the city skyline. It was the perfect spot to unwind and soak up the sun. Dining was a culinary delight. The on-site restaurant showcased a diverse menu featuring both local and international cuisine. The chefs' commitment to using fresh, high-quality ingredients was evident in every dish. The breakfast buffet was a standout, offering a wide array of options to suit every palate. The service was impeccable, with the staff going above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. Requests were handled promptly and with a genuine smile, adding a personal touch that made me feel like a valued guest. The location of the hotel was also ideal, situated in close proximity to popular attractions, dining options, and shopping districts. Whether I was exploring the city or simply strolling through the nearby parks, everything was conveniently within reach. In conclusion, my stay at [Hotel Name] was nothing short of exceptional. The combination of luxurious accommodations, top-notch amenities, and outstanding service created a truly memorable experience. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a refined and indulgent getaway. I look forward to returning to [Hotel Name] in the future for another unforgettable stay.

GGuest UserIt's very close to Jonker Street, just across a bridge. However, I was misled by the photos; I thought there was a public pool when it's actually located within a luxury suite. Still, the shower and toilet were quite convenient, and the overall place was clean.

AAnonymous UserOverall, the experience was acceptable the ocation was convenient about a 10-15 minute ride to the city centre, which made getting around quite easy. However, there were several issues during our stay Cleanliness: We noticed some smallinsects on the floor. While it didn't significantly affect aur stay, it would be better if the rooms could be more thoroughly checked and cleaned. Customer Service: All communication had to be done online through WhatsApp, as there was no face-to-face front desk service. This was quite unconventional and sometimes made things less convenient when we needed assistance urgently. Room Equipment: One of the air conditioners in our room kept switching on and off by itself and wasn't functioning properly. Even more concerning, the hairdryer had a short circuit, produced a burning smell, and even sparked flames. This was a frightening experience, and although it was eventually replaced, waiting a full day for such a serious issue was very disappointing.

FFreddy KA very clean European-style youth hostel, with very cute kittens downstairs. The air conditioning is sufficient, the location is convenient, the facilities are well maintained, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The whole environment is very clean, because you need to take off your shoes. The cat is very well behaved and cute, and the atmosphere is very warm. Have to take off your shoes when entering the door. The hostel is chic and practically design, the accommodation was tidy and cozy with affordable price. Moreover, the spacious common area and separated Male/Female bathrooms, simple pantry with 3in1 coffee, tea bag, snacks, water dispenser and microwave oven. There are 3 cute & friendly cats in the hostel too. The public space design is not very interactive. The capsules or boxes are comfortable. Have good locker system which uses card. The capsule pod was poor ventilation after cover by curtain as there is no mini fan and exhaust fan, towel not provided. After pulling the curtains and turning on the light, you can clearly see dust flying around. It is generally very clean, but the bed is relatively small This dormitory hostel has strategic location and are good, small, noisy electronic lockers, privacy curtains don't bring that much privacy. Staff don't seem to care a lot about what's happening and the staff are not that friendly. The mattress was comfortable. The lobby was clean and offered complimentary hot water and snacks, which was a nice touch. There are no bath towels and slippers, and it costs RM5 to ask for a bath towel. No hot water for shower and 2in1 shampoo/body wash provided but rarely replenish. The bathroom and toilet have windows to the outside, so they are more ventilated, the space is large, and they are very comfortable to use. The shower head has a brass retro shape, which is super beautiful. No deposit needed, easy to check in and check out. Location is strategic and near to major attractions, shopping malls and eateries within walking distance. But no lift and amenities. Have to climb up stairs and suitable for younger generations.

GGuest UserThe hotel's location is excellent and convenient for getting around. The front desk staff were very welcoming and helpful. The self-service breakfast was decent with a good variety of options. We stayed for two nights, and on our second day, we had an early bus to catch, so the hotel even packed us a breakfast to take with us, which was incredibly thoughtful. It was a very pleasant stay overall.
