★★★★ 9.3 (94 reviews)

"The location is great. The parking lot is just opposite the hotel. The room is a 2-minute walk from the beach. The beach is wide and there are few tourists. I saw the most beautiful sunrise. The large balcony is surrounded by green plants and is very suitable for sunbathing. It is quieter than other hotels at night. The double shower can take a shower at the same time. The hotel thoughtfully prepared three large bottles of drinking purified water and a woven bag for going out... I like Tulum starting from the hotel."

"Room was nice and spacious. Bed was a bit too soft for me. Breakfast is basic and the same every day. When we came back from a trip in the afternoon, there were no towels left for the pool ?!"

📍 Carretera Tulum-Boca Paila km 1, Tulum
★★★★ 9.2 (71 reviews)

"You can hear the sound of waves all the way to your room, so you can feel the great outdoors. The only disappointing thing was that there was a charge for water in the room. Tap water was free, but I was grateful that bottled water was also free. Overall, I'm very satisfied because I can see the sea from my room. There were a lot of mosquitoes and I got bitten a lot, so I recommend bringing insect repellent spray."

"First of all the service was beyond bad, it’s as if the staff never communicated with eachother. Upon arrival, we got asked if we were celebrating anything, to which we said yes as it’s our fifth anniversary, and they said they would arrange a surprise for us the next day. We finished our stay without any surprise or acknowledgment as to what had happened, it was just forgotten. They would ask us every day if it was our first time at breakfast, ask about allergies and so on, which on your fifth day at the hotel makes it feel very impersonal. The hotel is also very restrictive in when you can use their amenities, which is laughable when they have no direct beach access. Their pool only opens 11am-6pm, their bikes (which are in horrible shape) can only be hired 9am-6pm…it felt like being at a school camp instead of an alleged 5-star hotel. You are stranded on a street with nothing to do, no signal outside of the hotel, no free beach access and a whopping $40 to get to the town center (which is a 15min drive away). To put the cherry on top, we got called to our room on our last night asking when we would like our bags collected for check-out, they said it was arranged…and it never was. We also never got asked if we had a nice stay upon leaving, nothing. They truly don’t seem to care. Honestly, save yourself the trouble."

"Great new property. I’m a Marriott Bonvoy acolyte, and it was great to have an affordable option at the edge of town that is equally accessible to the beach. Room is comfortable, nice shower setup (bigger and better than what I expected at a Moxy) AC runs cold and is timed for room occupancy to save energy. Daily housekeeping is always appreciated The included breakfast was an unexpected treat. Table service with great staff (David and Emilio) and served until 11, this became my favorite way to start the day. I only regret not finding time to try the spa."

"The hotel is beautiful, very jungle like feeling, peaceful and quiet. Love the little cenote. Would be nice if there was a variety of food. Only 1 restaurant, small menu, and it opens 8am so you can't get coffee/tea. The rooms dont have anything to make tea/coffee, So you'd need to head out, there's a nice French bakery 5mins walk away. The location is a little remote but with a,scooter or atv you can get to the beach or town in 15-20mins."

"Beautiful hotel!!! This hotel is soo beautiful. The owner takes so much time to keep it looking amazing. The owner would greet us and always check in which was really nice when we came in. The rooms are just simple and classic. Honestly one of the prettiest places I’ve ever seen. It’s like a jungle with all the hidden gems everywhere. The roof is really nice and always has a great breeze. I would recommend this to friends and family in a heart beat. There is a cafe/restaurant attached below the hotel which has amazing owner/staff and the food is insanely good! Good coffee and good food! Honestly so happy we didn’t book a resort style place. This was so much better!"

"TO ABSOLUTELY AVOID, we booked 3 nights through Booking based on the absolutely magnificent photos. When we arrived (street that looks like a shanty town) greeted by a young girl who NEVER made an effort to explain the place to us, she asked us directly for a deposit?! * She shows us our room, without accompanying us...you surprise me, considering the room... Horrible...almost no light, even though we are in broad daylight. * Door...more like curtain that doesn't close, trunk that doesn't close... * And I'm not talking about the insects, lizards, mice, which also inhabit the place, very dirty. * We asked for a refund - they wouldn't hear anything...on the pretext that everything is noted on Booking. Honestly, if I can give you any advice: DON’T GO THERE!!!! Beyond the bad reception, it's a question of hygiene.... And the photos on Booking...A SCAM..."

"The environment was nice, but the hotel and taxi drivers colluded to rip off tourists. The normal fare from the hotel to the bus station should have been 100 pesos, but they charged me 250."

"The hotel is beautiful and overall pleasant, but it left mixed impressions. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed and given a tour of the property. However, we later discovered that the cenote was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel and it was under reconstruction, and this had not been communicated in advance. Construction started around 7:30 a.m. and continued throughout the day. The noise in the morning was not too disruptive, but during the day, when the main work was happening, it became quite loud and dusty around the pool area. Workers were constantly passing by, which significantly affected the overall atmosphere. Housekeeping was inconsistent. The floor in our room was sticky upon check-in, and on one of the days, the cleaner left dirty towels on the floor. The location is good if you are looking for a quiet and remote place. We woke up to the sounds of birds and saw lizards around the property, which was lovely. However, it also means that you need transportation to get anywhere, as there is little infrastructure nearby. For us, this was not an issue we actually enjoyed the seclusion. The hotel itself is beautifully designed in a boho style and looks stunning. Despite the drawbacks, I would still consider coming back one day."

"**Robo en el hotel(17-18 Nov, 2023 / Lee)** Eaperamos su pronta respuesta a nuestro caso We stayed here for our 3rd wedding anniversary with full expectations. But there is a big problem. I left the rental vehicle I used at the hotel valet service and only had the suitcases in the trunk delivered to my room. However, after checking out, I went to the hotel and checked to find that the orange bag containing two winter jumpers from the back seat had been stolen. This item was not delivered to the room or taken out during the stay. It was a vehicle I had trusted, but I was so shocked that I didn't know what to do. I keep trying to call the hotel, but they keep not answering the phone. The stay is for one night from November 17th to 18th, and the room is Villa de Jungle #9 / Lee. Looking forward to your quick feedback"
