This is by far and away the best place on the beach. Wonderful food and drink, best service and an incredibly relaxed a**osphere. Can’t recommend Astral enough and wish I could have spent more time here. A great place to relax in complete comfort!

Our favourite find in Tulum. No minimum spend to use the sun beds etc, which is sadly unheard of in Tulum, whjch then makes you want to spend money at the venue! The sun beds are incredibly comfy with plenty of shade/sun options. And also not overly busy, which makes it seem like an exclusive beach club. In terms of food and drinks, we had the ceviche and burger to eat and both were incredible (I know what you’re thinking, a burger? Trust me, it was delicious). Ice cold Modellos to drink with lime, looking over the Caribbean Sea? Absolute dream. Next time we are back, we will definitely consider the accommodation here also! Thank you for looking after us so well and see you again soon!

Bubbles are very small, not worth the price. However, located in a beautiful national parc not far away from the sea. The staff is strange. The management is unprofessional and not helpful. Stayed only one night. The other hotels nearby are much better.

Beach beds are fantastic. Service was great. Shrimp tacos are a must. They’re super friendly. They have employees who periodically clean the sea**** on the beach throughout the day which is unlike other spots. Would definitely return. The menu has a good assor**ent of different foods. I really enjoyed my lunch and tanning here.

Our time at Astral was great! First our server Camilo was super friendly and helpful! He went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and well feed. The food was perfect, we had the grilled shrimp tacos and chicken burger/sandwich. Presentation of the food was on point which was delight to see. The shrimp tacos were fresh and well seasoned. I also enjoyed the chicken sandwich which was fried in panko bread crumbs which gave it a light and airy taste. Lastly the drinks I had were great, very refreshing (non alcoholic juices).. Camilo shared that they are a newer place along Playa Paraiso so the rest rooms and shower areas were also clean and updated. Definitely would return

We had 3 beach days at Astral and had the best time. Roy let us check out the place before we decided to reserve a beach bed. At the beach Ronal & Cheko took great care of us. You can tell the guys love their job and it’s just a very special beach. 5 stars for Astral!

This place gets a solid three. They're aspects about it that are awesome and aspects about it that are really bush league. Astral Tulum has been in business for just under a year now. The overall vibe of the place is of a hotel being run by people that are just trying to figure it out as they go along. They call it glamping but the prices they charge are equivalent to those charged by some high-end boutique hotels in Tulum. That would be okay if the services and amenities they offered were commensurate with the prices they charge but they don't even come close. The individual tent units are super cool. Despite the fact that that walls and ceiling are essentially transparent, there is plenty of privacy as each unit is fenced in. The see-through dome gets water spots on it when it rains but that is to be expected. Overall, sleeping in the room is delightful. It's peaceful and you can look up and see the sky and the trees. The mini split air conditioning unit easily keeps the temperature comfortable. The shower is tiny but to be expected for what is essentially a tent cabin. The staff was accommodating. I arrived very late and there was someone to meet me and get me situated. For the most part the staff were all very friendly with one exception. I would say that the biggest problem with this place is the beach club and restaurant. The menu is very limited and the food is far below average. This ceviche however was really good. The beach club opens very late in the day and closes very early. Before sunset! For breakfast, the only beverages available are orange juice watermelon juice and coffee. There is no tea available at all! Non-coffee drinkers do not have an option to drink tea at this place. I found this utterly ridiculous. How difficult is it to go to the store and buy a box of tea to keep on your shelf for your clients who don't drink coffee? For the price they are asking per night, this place seems to be run by less experienced management.

We had the most amazing stay here at Astral! The unique rooms were what really pulled us in. The staff and food were great, especially the beach club. We wanted to give a special shout out to Bryan, Ronal, and Roy for making our stay that much more amazing! The location of this hotel is in the national park and it was just beautiful. We rented the bicycles almost every day and everything was so close. Thank you to this incredible staff and bubble room for making our trip unforgettable!

I have very mixed feelings about this hotel. On the one hand, we do like its format (Bubbles). The personnel (well, almost all) was very friendly and supportive. The food in the restaurant was good. The beach was nice as well as the beach club's amenities. On the other hand, the thief ruined all our holidays. One cleaning person stole our cash and jewelry from the room. The jewelry was in the safe, and I still have no idea if the safe was broken or if there was another reason. But the fact is - the safe was hidden under the sink, and the guy intentionally looked there (he didn't have any reason to do that), opened the safe, took our belongings, and disappeared. Well, the hotel owner tried to mitigate this by a free night, lunch, and dinner, but in reality, I feel as if the management did NOTHING to facilitate the investigation process and force police to catch the guy. This is a huge fault of their HR team to hire the person who seemed joining this luxury boutique hotel just for one person - to get his chance and to steal something expensive. Regardless of how we liked the hotel and other personnel (who were really friendly and supportive of us), I cannot give a high rating to this hotel because the top management neither selected a proper person for cleaning rooms nor provided proper support to catch the thief. Another disappointing thing - unless you intentionally ask not to do this, they will black-cover the bubble in the early morning and remove that cover only in the evening. well, I understand the sun heats the floor, but I don't want to wake up at 6 am from someone putting the cover above my head. Also, the food in the restaurant was too expensive in my opinion, though I admit its quality and taste - the Chef did a really good job. And you can't eat there after 6pm but there are two great places nearby for the late meal: Japanese restaurant Kogure and Cinco (try octopus there).
