Location: Outside of “central” Athens but easily connected by metro & buses. Kifisia is gorgeous, safe, filled with high end boutiques, restaurants + cafes.
Room/Ambience: Hotel itself is stunning + very relaxing vibe. Decor details incredible as expected of a boutique hotel of this nature.
Food: Very good selection of hot + cold, plus actual barista coffee. Do not expect American style breakfast - this is Europe after all. We did not eat lunch or dinner but the menus looked great and was filled with locals in the evening.
Service: Although reception staff were sufficiently friendly, service very lacking for a high end boutique hotel. It was 26 degrees celsius every day while in Athens. Not prior to our stay, nor during check-in did anyone advise us that the pool was closed likely until end of May. This is not advertised on any booking platform, or on the hotel website, which was very disappointing. We sat in the pool lounge chairs for over two hours (staff saw us as the restaurant is immediately adjacent). Nobody offered us pool towels to lie on, or if we wanted to order any drinks or food. My partner had to get dressed, go to reception and ask. They didn’t even offer to clean the pool given the hot weather made it ready for use. It really put a downer on our stay, and why we opted not to have dinner at the hotel restaurant. Similar experience at breakfast; nobody offered us coffee orders, we heard someone else order and realised it was available.

This place is quite unusual. My room was upgraded so that I had a suite over two floors, with a small private pool on another lower level. Absolutely every convenience had been considered, some extras might verge on overkill (bog roll tied up with a ribbon for example).
The room looked amazing on first inspection, but I quite quickly realised the smell of the pool was so strong it stung my eyes, and the sound of the ventilation unit was quite a roar. There was only one small openable window on the mezzanine level next to the bed and I had to sleep with that open as wide as possible.
Bed was extremely comfortable, I had to turn off the pool ventilator unit in the middle of the night because it kept waking me up, but once I had done that and the smell of baking bread entered the room from a bakery down the road I slept like a log.
Staff were really nice and friendly, but they are working with quite difficult circumstances and perhaps unnecessarily. The kitchen is on the bottom floor and breakfast is served on the 5th floor roof (from which you can see the Parthenon) breakfast is a little awkward as you get a huge wicker basket 🧺 full of food plus crepes, plus omelette, plus tuna sandwich, a whole baguette (some more little ribbons), and I am not sure anyone can eat as much as is provided, and the server had to keep travelling up and down in the one person elevator. Probably would be better to ask guests what they would like to have for breakfast out of the options available and have a coffee/tea station upstairs. There is the option to take lunch in your room - for which the picnic basket concept makes a lot more sense.
Seems like there should be a way to make the place feel more efficient and common sensible. I did get the feeling that they might have only just opened and are finding their feet, so I hope this review will be useful - certainly was a generous accommodation and staff are working very hard to make sure guests have the best possible experience.

Kseniia KanarisThe best hostel I've ever stayed in. I can't even call it a hostel, it's definitely a hotel. They even make you an egg dish for breakfast, and everything is delicious. The hostel is comfortable, stylish, modern, and most importantly, very clean. I stayed in another hostel in Athens, which was also good, but Ocupa is the best place for solo travelers. I highly recommend it and will definitely be back!

Quite modern entrance hall and room (bathroom for disabled was not our choice). Reception friendly and provided good recommendation for late dinner.
The first morning I woke up by very loud cleaning personnel. Walls are paper thin and door not soundproof. You hear everything.
Breakfast terrace with nice view. Pool terrace too small and only available for some hours if slot pre-booked.
Music, food and shisha on the rooftop club/restaurant quite okay.

Safak UygunThe hotel was generally clean, and the location was convenient. However, I was disappointed with the way my room request was handled.
During the reservation process, there was a section for special requests. I specifically requested a room on one of the upper floors. Despite this, I was assigned a room on the 1st floor, even though the hotel has 19 floors. It seemed that my request had been completely ignored.
I politely asked if it would be possible to move to a higher floor. Instead of offering any flexibility, I was told that I would need to pay an additional €50 or upgrade my booking. Considering that my entire stay cost only around €100, asking for an extra 50% of the room price just to move to a higher floor felt excessive and unreasonable.
If requests for higher-floor rooms are only available for an additional fee, this should be clearly stated during the booking process. Otherwise, the “special requests” section creates expectations that are not actually honored.
Overall, the hotel itself was decent, but this experience with customer service left a negative impression. I hope the hotel will handle guest requests more fairly in the future.

Guest UserLocation is nice in close to Athens center and on the beach, not the nicest (Voula, voullagmeni) the road in front of the hotel is very busy. The pool on the roof is perfect, beautifull view from rooftop, breakfast is also excellent, staff is very friendly. The beds room were very clean, the shower good be done cleaner. But in total a very good hotel

I had an amazing stay at this hotel. The room was spotless, spacious, and beautifully designed. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the bathroom was modern with great water pressure. I also appreciated the small touches like complimentary bottled water, quality toiletries, and a well-stocked minibar. Housekeeping was consistent and attentive. Overall, a perfect and relaxing stay — highly recommended.

Skylark Hotel Athens offers a generally positive stay, with a few aspects worth highlighting. The hotel, which previously operated under the Brown brand, has retained much of its boutique, design-led style, creating a pleasant and contemporary atmosphere throughout the property. Its location works well for visiting central Athens, and overall it represents fairly good value for the price segment.
The guest rooms are relatively compact, so travelers who need a lot of space should keep this in mind. However, the layout makes sensible use of the available area, and the decor and furnishings feel modern and comfortable, making it suitable for short city trips. In terms of noise and cleanliness, the experience was satisfactory and allowed for a restful night.
From earlier visits, the breakfast stood out as a strong point, with notably high quality and variety for this category of hotel. On the most recent stay, breakfast was not tried, so it is not possible to judge whether the previously high standard has been maintained. In summary, Skylark Hotel Athens is a good option for guests seeking a stylish base in Athens with a reasonable price-to-quality ratio.

Very new and modern, and excellent rooftop bar/breakfast room with over the Acropolis. I had room directly next to reception, so a little noisy at times.

Lovely hotel. Well situated and the roof top restaurant is amazing. Unfortunately the ladies at reception are LESS than friendly, to the point of being rude. I suppose we all have bad days, and maybe that was the case. However if hospitality is your chosen career, and front of office your position, ….:otherwise defiantly an amazing hotel which we are grateful to have experienced.
