GGuest UserThe breakfast content is not much, and the wonderful thing is that the staff provides fresh coffee. The hotel is very clean and cleaned every day. 2 bottles of 500ml water and 1 bottle of 750ml bubble water and 4 capsules of coffee are provided every day.

GGuest UserMiraMe has the BEST shower we have ever experienced. THE BEST SHOWER! It comes with four different ' heads ' and the water pressure is extremely powerful so taking a shower after a hot day in Athens was an absolute joy. Usually the rainshower found in most hotels is weak, but MiraMe's jets are very forceful and steady water temperature. The other three ' heads ' are one for the chest, one for the butt and one for the legs. Then there is also one separate hand held shower head on the side. The shower room is spacious and drainage is smooth, and the door seals perfect so there is no worry of a leak. We cannot claim to be hotel experts but for the 30+ odd years of travelling and having stayed in over 60 hotels in many cities, we can vow loud and clear that MiraMe has really sourced the BEST shower model, and other hotels, even other leading hotels in the world should dump theirs and change them into MiraMe's. Locationwise, MiraMe also is very good. The main shopping districts are just 10 mins walk away where you can find famous brands as well as plenty of shoe shops. In the area are major bus stops , great variety of restaurants, cafes, ice cream parlours, pharmacies and other nice hotels. The room we had booked is ' deluxe family room with balcony ' that has a short flight of stairs leading to an attic for the 3rd person. It is a nice nook up there for some privacy with a bed and a sofa and an individual air con that provides a comfy temp. The balcony is small and not much view so we hardly used it. Breakfast is provided up on the rooftop bar cum lounge, where a young staff manned the place and served freshly made breakfast cooked to each guest's order every morning. The rooftop has a nice open view of the Acropolis and has very nice updated music that is cool but not too loud and wild. They also have a bar on the G/F serving drinks. The staff are all young and pleasant, polite and helpful and they try their best to help with restaurant bookings and recommendations etc. MiraMe is a clean and modern boutique hotel that provides sufficient toiletries to make the stay comfy and carefree. Housekeeping is discreet and the bedding is all clean and white, bath and hand towels and floors and things we touch are basically clean. Again, we cannot praise enough their wonderful shower that has to be the BEST in the whole world. The hotel is in a quiet street but in a very safe neighbourhood, so even if you return late everyone feels very secure and safe.

TTravelwithjessieeI’m a solo traveller and I stayed here on my first trip to Athens. I wanted to be central to the attractions. The location was amazing! It is right on Monastiaki square where you can take the metro to and from the airport making it easy to get to! You can also use theirs to get around Athens! Low cost and easy to use! You can see the Acropolis right from the square! There are also lots of lovely restaurants and coffee shops around this area too! On arriving at the hotel the reception staff were very warm and welcoming. They helped me to arrange transportations and offered to prepare a takeaway breakfast bag for my early check out which was very kind! The room itself was quite large and clean with all of the amenities that you may need. The shower was hot which was good! The downside to the room is that it is very noisy from the outside due to it being on the square. It can get busy at nighttime, however I did expect this due to its location. I came prepared and brought earplugs to sleep in which did the trick! The breakfast is served in the rooftop bar. Plenty of choice and delicious pastries each day. Hot and cold options available which was nice! The views from here are amazing! You can sell all around you and have a view of the Acropolis as you enjoy your breakfast! Wow! Photos attached of the view from breakfast at the hotel rooftop and the square! I would recommend this hotel to stay on if you are wanting to be in the centre of Athens! Everything was accessible and the staff was always happy to help! Thank you so much for being so lovely during my stay! I would come back again! 😊

ぱぱラッチI stayed for 3 nights on a business trip. You can walk to the Pardenon Temple and the New Acropolis Museum. There are also many Greek restaurants nearby and the location is excellent. The receptionist at the hotel was also friendly. The breakfast restaurant space is by no means large, but you can enjoy your meal slowly in a calm atmosphere. The size of the room can also be spent slowly in a reasonable space. It was good that the shower was hydraulic pressure, but it was a pity that there was no bathtub plug and I couldn't put it in the bathtub. The elevator was retro and the atmosphere was good, but the movement was slow. It's the opposite of a modern hotel, but I think it's a very good hotel to spend a relaxing time in a historic hotel in Europe.

GGuest UserGreat location as all main tourist sites (including Kerameikos and Filopappou Hill) were walkable - also outside the main tourist area, which was a plus. Roof terrace also pleasant at the end of the day. Hotel facilities are limited: WiFi, internet tv only (on mine you had to log in with your own details), aircon, tea/coffee, free bottled water. Cold breakfast option (set price of €10 - not €8 as shown on the website). Airport pick-up is now also €50 (more than shown currently on website). Rooms modern but.mine was starting to look slightly tired. In theory it was a ‘suite’ suitable for four (two small rooms) but this would have been extremely cramped, particularly as each room had only a ‘space saver’ type wardrobe ie. wardrobe rail coming out from the wall with a mirror in front and no other storage and a sofa bed in the ‘living room’. Despite the website description of each room with (only) a power shower, mine had a shower over the bath. Service was average: front desk tried to be helpful but local knowledge was lacking. Bed was made each day, but tea/coffee/water were not refreshed and used glasses and mugs were not cleaned. Despite this, towels WERE refreshed daily and there was no option (card or other mechanism) to get this stopped. I was surprised: it seems that saving water and energy had passed the hotel by entirely. In conclusion: compared to other prices and areas of Athens I paid a reasonable amount, but given the reviews had expected more from the hotel, although I couldn’t honestly say that it was bad, just ‘average’.

GGuest UserThis was a great stay for us and our family. The hotel is conveniently located near many popular sights and eateries in Athens and most were within a 10-20 minute walk. The nearby Monastiraki metro station made it easy to get to and from the airport as well. The rooms are nicely appointed with a couple of chairs, work station, coffee/tea station, closet, mini fridge and TV. The beds were small but comfy enough. Our family had a 2 and 3 bed rooms and we found the 2 bed room was a lot more spacious. The bathrooms in both were small but we appreciated that the hot water came on quickly and there was a small window for ventilation. Our room was quiet at night but our family noted street noise on the lower floors. The elevators were often tricky to catch as they are small but we appreciated it when we didn't feel like the climb to the sixth floor. The amenities at the hotel were good for the price. The roof top patio and bar area was a highlight and we enjoyed a couple of afternoons up here watching the sun set and the lights turn on at the Acropolis. The prices of the bar were inexpensive and they had a good variety of options. There was a sitting room that had tea and coffee midday and they kept it open in the evening so we were able to sit together and talk. They had laundry service, baggage storage and could help arrange tours or car hires as well at the front desk with their friendly and welcoming staff. The breakfast at this hotel was very good for the price. They had something for everyone and lots of place to sit. Highlights for us were the Greek yoghurt and the spinach and feta stuffed pastries. They also had mini sausages, bacon, scrambled eggs, feta cheese, cucumber, tomatoes, breads, baklava, croissants, dried fruits, fresh fruits, juices and a coffee machine. We looked forward to breakfast each morning. The hotel provided a good base for exploring and was centrally located. We would say if you're looking to save money and have a good breakfast to start your day in Athens this hotel is a good choice.

GGuest UserThe hotel was renovated from an old building, and the elevator is so small that it can only accommodate one person and one suitcase, but the room facilities are very new and the bed is very comfortable. On the first day, I got a larger room at the corner of the street. Although I could see a little bit of the mountain view, the sound insulation was not good. The sound of cars and motorcycles on the street was endless, and it was noisy until ten o'clock in the evening. Fortunately, the ladies and gentlemen at the front desk were very warm and friendly. The next day, I changed to a room facing the inner courtyard. It immediately calmed down and I slept well, feeling refreshed. The breakfast restaurant is on the top floor. You can enjoy a cup of coffee in the open air and enjoy the mountain view of Athens. However, there is really no choice in food, they are all sweet. There are many homeless people around the hotel and the roads are not easy to walk, but the subway station is nearby and you can easily go anywhere. It is recommended to stay for one day first, then extend if you feel it is good, or change if not, there are many hotels around.

GGuest UserI was impressed with this hotel for the price I paid. Very centralised, with the metro station right there. Restaurants, shops, supermarkets only steps away. The hotel itself is very comfortable. Though my room was a bit small, it’s all you need. Lots of pillows on the bed. Fluffy towels, and all the great amenities. They give you everything you need, and then some. Free water as well. The breakfast was copious. So much choices. I love the terrace. There are jacuzzis on the terrace! I also ate at the restaurant, which as very good. The staff are very friendly. The deco is cool as well. I’ll come back next time I’m in Athens.

GGuest UserWe booked our stay at Emporikon for just one night in Athens and we were disappointed to find that where we were staying was not the hotel we booked. We arrived at the address for Emporikon (the one pictured on the website where we booked) and they told us that they did not have a reservation for us and we were probably in the other building. The woman walked us over to the other building a block away (on a somewhat deserted alley rather than the bustling street of the actual hotel we booked). They did have our room there but we had booked a “triple room with a view” and what we received was a room with one bed (a full I think) and absolutely no view. The room was very small, overlooked a bar that was extremely loud until 2am. The toilet also did not flush—we had to essentially take it apart and flush four different ways to make it work. There was a smart TV, but it had no access to any Chanels and would not accept any of our U.S. streaming app accounts. The hotel we booked was a beautiful historic building and that was just not what this new building was. The location on the map and the wifi name were  a different hotel “Anasa.” There was a sign outside that said “new Emporikon building” which did make us feel that at least we were not being kidnapped, but it is very concerning that we booked one thing and received something entirely different. That is just not how a contract works. We should have at least been told it would be a different room than we paid for.

GGuest UserReview for NYX Esperia Palace Athens – Luxurious Stay with a Few Caveats We stayed at NYX Esperia Palace Athens for four full days – two couples, each in an Executive Suite with access to the business lounge. The welcome was warm and efficient, and we received our rooms exactly at 3:00 PM, as per hotel policy. The suites were clean, stylish, and well-equipped with amenities such as disposable toothbrushes, shaving kits, loofahs, a hairdryer, and more. One of our suites, located on the 7th floor, even had a partial view of the Acropolis, which was a lovely bonus. The room’s climate, lighting, and curtains were all operated through digital controls, designed to pamper guests — although, in practice, they were not very intuitive and required a bit of trial and error. For instance, turning off the bedside light required getting up and walking to a control panel. The TV included Israeli channels (11, 12, and 13), which we appreciated. Breakfast on the 10th floor was excellent, offering a wide variety of high-quality options, and the waiter service was above average. One of the highlights of our stay was the exceptional care provided by Ilia, the hotel's Public Relations Manager. She guided us almost from the moment we arrived until we left — recommending excellent tavernas, booking taxis, restaurants, and arranging a private guided tour. On our last day, we were also warmly greeted by Dionysia in the lounge — charming and attentive. That said, there were some drawbacks: Reception service was inconsistent – not all staff members were welcoming; some appeared cold or offered forced smiles. The business lounge was disappointing – small, crowded, with modest food and drink offerings and uninspiring seating. It felt more like a repurposed room than a proper lounge. The pools require advance reservation, with no room for spontaneity. Usage hours are segmented (e.g., 1–4 PM or 4–7 PM), and spots after 7 PM are very limited. The rooftop pool area is crowded, and the adjacent restaurant is also open to non-guests. Rooftop restaurant experience: One evening we returned from a night out and hoped to enjoy a drink with a view. Although two front-row tables overlooking the Acropolis were available, we were initially told they were reserved. Minutes later, we were informed we could sit there for a €25 minimum spend per person. The sudden shift from ”reserved” to ”available for a price” was off-putting — especially as hotel guests staying in suites. The guided tour recommended by the hotel involved nearly 4 hours of driving during a 5-hour trip, leaving us with very little time at each stop. We suggest skipping it. Bottom line: The hotel is modern, very clean, and the suites are luxurious. Service is mostly excellent, particularly thanks to Ilia and Dionysia. However, don't count on spontaneous access to the pool or rooftop restaurant — enjoying those requires planning ahead, much like booking a theater show. If you value well-designed suites and structured experiences, this hotel may be a great fit. If you’re looking for flexibility and full-day pampering from hotel facilities — you might find it a bit limiting.
