4-Star Hotels in Chengde

The hotel was excellent! It's well-equipped with very new facilities. The room was clean and tidy, and housekeeping cleaned it daily. The front desk staff were incredibly helpful and reminded us of everything and made all the arrangements. The customer service staff were also very good and thoughtful. There's both underground and above-ground parking, which was very convenient. The breakfast was plentiful, a great mix of Chinese and Western options with lots of variety. For dinner, we ordered à la carte at the hotel restaurant, and the food was delicious – really good.

Traveling solo, I chose The Landy Hotel, and it perfectly matched my aesthetic. The overall design features a simple, natural wood style with no excessive decoration. The room layout felt relaxed and comfortable, and the floor-to-ceiling window framed the garden view like a painting. The outdoor garden is meticulously maintained, with plants thoughtfully arranged and winding paths that make for a wonderfully quiet stroll, far from the hustle and bustle. The room was clean and tidy, the amenities felt high-quality, and the staff were very friendly. I felt incredibly peaceful staying here all day – it’s a great place to unwind and recharge alone. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit Aranya.

The room type I stayed in was quite spacious, including the bathroom, and came with a king-size bed and floor-to-ceiling windows. The room was bright and airy. From the window, I could enjoy the night view of Chengde, and during the day, a river view. They provided complimentary welcome snacks and hot spring tickets. The staff were always smiling and very courteous. Every time I visit Chengde, I choose to stay at this hotel. The hotpot set menu at the 2nd-floor restaurant is also a highlight; the portions of meat, vegetables, fish, and shrimp were generous, and the service was excellent.

The hotel is great, especially Zihan and Xiaowei who are very polite. Xiao Jiang and Xiao Han were also wonderful. Cleanliness: Good

The room was clean and hygienic, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering views of the courtyard. If driving, navigate to Area C of the Chengde Mountain Resort underground parking lot, and take the pedestrian walkway up to the entrance; the entrance is right there, and the courtyard is a 100-meter walk away. The staff were very welcoming, introducing the sights and helping with luggage. The courtyard environment was pleasant.

The location is superb, with convenient transportation options like taxis and self-driving, making it hassle-free to get around. It's perfectly situated for shopping, dining, and sightseeing – ideal for short trips. The staff are warm and polite; check-in and check-out were quick and efficient. They were patient and helpful with any requests, like directions or luggage storage, providing excellent service. The breakfast spread is rich and varied, with hot dishes and porridge that are light and palatable. A nutritious breakfast in the morning keeps you energized for the whole day. This hotel offers great value for money; I'm very satisfied with the service, environment, and dining. I'll definitely choose this place first for my next trip. Highly recommended!

This is a pretty good hotel in Yudaokou, the only downside being the limited room amenities and somewhat outdated facilities. The hotel's biggest highlight is its abundant breakfast buffet, offering both Chinese and Western options, including hearty dishes like lamb with scallions and Kung Pao chicken. The homemade yogurt is quite delicious, and you can add various toppings yourself. Overall, the service was good.

The Squirrel Inn is close to the colorful forest, the squirrel theme is full of childishness, and the room is clean and tidy. The boss is warm, the food is authentic, it is very convenient to go out and play, the first choice for parent-child travel, and the overall experience is very comfortable.

Great location, and the room was spacious, bright, and comfortable. What really stood out was the excellent service, especially from the front desk staff, who were so warm and proactive they made me feel right at home. I was particularly touched when they upgraded my room. There are plenty of great food options nearby, with a night market just downstairs. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, and the service was attentive and friendly. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit the Mountain Resort!

The location is ideally situated, at about 200 meters from the main gate. Either walk the road to the Wall, not too steep, with plenty resting places. 20 minutes walk. There’s the Wall! Very well maintained and restored. We saw sunrise at 4:30 AM. They allow early entry and can organise a 5 minute  lift to the Wall. Even at 4:00 AM. Amazing! The hotel provided breakfast, so after the sunrise and some hiking, it was very well appreciated.
