4-Star Hotels in Chengde

The hotel is located in a relatively bustling area, making shopping very convenient. The parking lot gets busy on weekends, but there's still always a spot for hotel guests. We arrived at noon and had Chengde cuisine on the fourth floor, which was very authentic, tasty, and reasonably priced. The hotel staff were friendly, and the rooms had a separate wet and dry area, were clean, hygienic, and well-equipped. The breakfast spread was extensive, and they refilled dishes quickly. My family found it very comfortable and were all very satisfied.

The views are fantastic! On the day of departure, the front desk even sent a text message with directions for driving there, which was incredibly thoughtful and considerate. It took about two hours to drive from Beijing to the hotel. We pre-registered our car and were able to park it in the parking lot. They even have fast-charging stations. We also pre-booked the public hot spring and enjoyed the Eye Stone hot spring. The breakfast quality was also excellent. I highly recommend coming here for the experience!

The room type I stayed in was quite spacious, including the bathroom, and came with a king-size bed and floor-to-ceiling windows. The room was bright and airy. From the window, I could enjoy the night view of Chengde, and during the day, a river view. They provided complimentary welcome snacks and hot spring tickets. The staff were always smiling and very courteous. Every time I visit Chengde, I choose to stay at this hotel. The hotpot set menu at the 2nd-floor restaurant is also a highlight; the portions of meat, vegetables, fish, and shrimp were generous, and the service was excellent.

Brilliant location for visiting the Chengde Mountain Resort. The hotel is located just on the other side of the wall of the park and is at a quiet corner 200m from the entrance. Very convenient for an early start to avoid the crowds. Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff at hotel. Room is good size and spotlessly clean. Many good local eateries within a short walking distance for excellent food at very reasonable prices

The hotel is excellent! The rooms are clean and tidy. Xiao Liang and Xiao Han at the front desk were incredibly warm and patient. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit the Chengde Mountain Resort!

Traveling with elders and children, this hotel is very satisfied. The hotel is located at the entrance of the colorful forest. There are many choices for eating nearby, which is quite convenient. There is also a bonfire party in the evening, and the children are very happy. The hotel environment is very special, and the children especially like it. The front desk saw that we took the children and upgraded the parent-child room for us. The room has its own small hanging chair. The room is clean and tidy, the service staff is also very attentive and attentive, and a small can of tea is sent before leaving. The downside is that the room sink space is a bit small, and there is no soap box and no toiletries.

This hotel offers great value for money; I'm very satisfied with the service, environment, and dining. I'll definitely choose this place first for my next trip. Highly recommended!

I stayed at the Puning Hotel for two nights and three days, and it was an amazing value. The hotel has a traditional Chinese garden style, making you feel like you've stepped into a secluded paradise. On the rooftop, I enjoyed coffee, a gentle breeze, mountain views, and the sight of the Chan Temple – a perfect blend of classical and modern. Traveling solo, I visited museums, paid respects at the Chan Temple, explored the local market, and even fed the hotel's pet deer. It was a beautiful way to enjoy some leisure time away from my busy work life. The front desk, room service, and dining staff were all excellent, and the owner was very kind. This is a pretty good hotel in Yudaokou, the only downside being the limited room amenities and somewhat outdated facilities. The hotel's biggest highlight is its abundant breakfast buffet, offering both Chinese and Western options, including hearty dishes like lamb with scallions and Kung Pao chicken. The homemade yogurt is quite delicious, and you can add various toppings yourself. Overall, the service was good.

Location is unbeatable!! The hotel is right before the entrance gate to the Jinshanling Great Wall cable car station and trail heads. You can actually hike up to good view points on the Great Wall injust 30-40 minutes. The hotel is in good condition. The room is mostly clean and well maintained. The AC works well. Toilet has a weird smell but didn't bother me that much. Wish they provided conditioner (only shampoo and shower gel were in the bathroom). Restaurant has many options for Chinese dishes and so is the buffet breakfast. If I come back, definitely book it again for the excellent location.
