Title: Hakodate hotel review 😭 one day is definitely not enough!! I rarely write reviews, honestly 📝 But for this hotel, not writing one just wouldn't do it justice 🔥 I loved every minute of my stay in Hakodate 💙 This little city itself is so beautiful and peaceful ～ The hotel seems like it might have been an old building before 🏛️? But it's been renovated with such great taste, really stylish! The room was very quiet, slept so comfortably 🛏️ And the location is super convenient! 📍 Very close to the Kanemori Red Brick Warehouses 📍 Not far from the nearest station 📍 And there's a supermarket nearby too!! And! The room was really, really clean 🧹 I've stayed in many hotels in Japan, most are quite clean But I can always tell where they cut corners, if the corners are dusty, I notice it immediately 👀 This place was genuinely clean, the sheets even had a fresh scent You can tell the staff takes cleaning very seriously 🧼 Service was also amazing ～ The guy who helped me check in was so welcoming and friendly 🥹 It's a shame I could only stay one day 😭 Next time I definitely have to stay longer!! #Hakodate #HotelReview #Travel

The lovely old gentleman serving as at night was one of the best front desk staff I’ve ever met. We originally planned to arrive at the property in the afternoon. However, our flight was cancelled and we had to seek alternative, delaying our arrival time until 23:00. When we arrive, we thought we will be self-checking in. But as we step inside the property from a heavy snow, we saw this kind gentleman waiting for us right at the door. He greeted us, helped us check in, and explained everything clearly. He offered us free flow free drinks and free ice cream (which was also very tasty) When we wanted to have some late night snacks bought from a convenient store, he also helped us reheat the food. 誠にありがとうございます！ Everything else was great as well! The room was comfortable, the breakfast was yummy, and it’s so nice to have a hot spring after out in the cold for the entire day.

Free breakfast is served from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM, and free udon is available from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM. There's also a public bath and sauna on the 7th floor of the hotel, open until 10:40 PM. I highly recommend A-GATE Hotel for budget travelers! Two thumbs up!

We stayed there as a couple. The room was very spacious and clean, and the bed was large and comfortable! Although we didn't use it this time, I thought the free bicycle rental was a great service. It's a short walk from the station, but it's a pleasant distance for a stroll. The view of the sea on the way is spectacular. If I had to mention a problem, it would be that we had trouble opening the room key, haha. We thought it would open by turning the key and twisting the doorknob, but it turned out to be a door that opens by pushing without twisting the doorknob. It might be good to have a sign in a more obvious place ^^; Thanks to you, we had a wonderful trip! Thank you!

Love the hospitality of the team, makes us feel welcomed! The room is very decent, the complimentary breakfast is amazing!! I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Hakodate, the Izakaya next to the hotel is also highly recommended! The tram is just outside the hotel, lots of great restaurants in the vicinity. The hotel also provides umbrella for free use, which is extremel thoughtful and highly appreciated!

This hotel was absolutely perfect for the price, exceeding all my expectations! The lobby bar on the first floor offers complimentary hot drinks, and it seems there's even a gym available for use. The room was meticulously clean and came equipped with a women's toiletry kit and other amenities. It's just a three-minute walk to Hakodate JR Station and the bus terminal. Right across the street is Hakodate's famous soup curry, and there's a convenience store and Saizeriya nearby.

We stayed at LC Goryokaku Hotel during our family trip to Hakodate and were pleasantly surprised by how well it suited our needs. The location is fantastic—just a short walk from Goryokaku Park and the Tower, which made it easy for us to explore the area with our kids without needing transportation all the time. The room was clean, spacious enough for a small family, and had thoughtful touches like slippers, toiletries, and even a small seating area where we could unwind. The beds were comfortable, and we appreciated the quiet at night, which made it easy for the children to fall asleep. The hotel also offers free drinks in the lounge, which was a nice touch, and there's a laundry area, which is very useful when traveling with kids.

The location is excellent, just sandwiched in the middle. I entered the room before 14 o'clock, and thank you for the front desk. The bed was small and the room was small, but just an area was empty to spread out the large suitcase, and the design was very good. The warm light effect is very good (in fact, it is 2 bulbs 💡) The hand sanitizer smells good. Disadvantages: Dry laundry

The location is at the Yunokawa Seaside. The view from the seaside rooms is amazing, and the outdoor hot springs can directly see the sea, which is amazing. However, the room facilities are old and the toilet is not smart. Can you believe that Japanese public toilets are all smart, but the toilet in this hotel is not smart. I went there in winter and it was cold. The experience was terrible. But the price is relatively friendly, so I can only bear it. Next to the hotel is the famous botanical garden, where monkeys take a hot spring bath

The room itself was a little bit small and quite cramped. Just about enough space for one. But if you are plus sized it might seem too small. The toilet was also slightly narrow. Facilities were great, with onsen available. Within touching distance of the local public street car and bus stop. Front desk were really friendly and helpful despite the limited English spoken. They also operate early from 8am till fairly late 10pm. And the nearest konbini was also only about 200m away.
