Amazing
BBryce van de LaarThe Solymar beach resort is not the most expensive resort in the Hurghada/Safaga area, but it’s also not the cheapest. Because of this, we were expecting it to be quite middle-of-the-range in terms of quality. At every turn, we were pleasantly surprised and delighted. The staff were friendly and courteous - whether at the reception, in the restaurant, or walking past someone watering the grass, you are guaranteed a friendly greeting. Everyone is quick to know their customers - after just a day in our usual spot on the beach, Ahmed knew our usual order. The hyper-energetic Magic Entertainment team members were also quick to build rapport and make us feel included in the resort vibes. We plunged immediately into extreme relaxation with a “honeymoon massage” at the spa, which included time in the dry and steam saunas, a special hammam exfoliation ritual on a heated marble slab, a full-body Dead Sea mud wrap, and an oil massage. The masseuses were talkative and playful - possibly not to everyone’s taste, but this seems to be the Egyptian way and certainly got me smiling and giggling along. There is not a moment of the day when you might be at risk of going hungry. From the early breakfast in the main restaurant, to the late breakfast at the beach, to the drinks and snacks on offer throughout the day at the pool bar and restaurant, there is always a wide array of quality F&B choices. There is some variation from day -to-day options, and it’s always worth checking out the “fresh-from-the-grill” area to see what the day’s speciality may be. Part of the stay includes one complementary meal at one of the two a la carte restaurants (Italian/Egyptian) where the food is a level or two up from what’s served in the buffets. Go hungry - the Egyptian meal included a starter of hot and cold mezze, a soup, a main course and a dessert (with alternative plant-based and kiddies’ menus). The resort has done a lot to ensure that it is eco friendly. Apart from the usual request to hang up towels to save water on unnecessary cleaning, they also purify their own water, which is left in your room in chilled glass bottles (it tastes a little weird, but it’s good for the planet). Overall, highly recommend the Solymar resort.

SSafirwithkyrie1If you’re looking for the ultimate place to relax your mind and recharge your soul, look no further than Steigenberger Hotel Resort Gold El Gouna. From the moment I arrived, I felt an incredible sense of peace and luxury. The atmosphere is absolutely breathtaking –, stunning views, and beautifully designed spaces that make you feel like you’re in paradise. 🌊☀️ The food? 🔥 10/10 – every meal was cooked to perfection, with so much variety and flavor that every bite felt like an experience. Whether it’s breakfast with fresh pastries and exotic fruits, or a gourmet dinner with world-class dishes, this resort sets a new standard for culinary excellence. The service? 💯 Simply amazing. Every single staff member I interacted with was warm, professional, and genuinely cared about making my stay unforgettable. From the front desk to the housekeeping team, to the restaurant staff – everyone was so helpful, attentive, and always greeted me with a smile. It’s rare to find such consistently outstanding service. The rooms are elegant, spacious, and spotless, with everything you need for total comfort. The resort offers so many relaxing spots – from the private beach areas to the stunning poolside – perfect for unwinding with a drink in hand and just enjoying the calm vibes. If you want to escape the chaos of everyday life, this is hands down the best hotel in Egypt. 🏝️ Whether you’re traveling solo, as a couple, or with family, Steigenberger Hotel Gold El Gouna gives you an unforgettable experience that combines luxury, serenity, and world-class hospitality. ✨ Thank you Steigenberger Hotel for making my stay truly special – I can’t wait to come back! #SteigenbergerElGouna #GoldElGouna #SteigenbergerHotels #LuxuryResort #RelaxYourMind #BeachVibes #TravelEgypt #EgyptHotels #ElGouna #TravelGoals #LuxuryLifestyle #BeachResort #VacationModeOn #FoodieHeaven #TopService #ThankYouSteigenberger

GGuest UserThe location and the beach at Sheraton Soma Bay are truly beautiful, and the welcome upon arrival was friendly and attentive. The property is well maintained, but overall it feels quite outdated and somewhat old-fashioned. Unfortunately, we experienced several service and organizational issues during our stay. At the beach bar, we ordered a milkshake but were served a juice instead without being asked — we were later told there was an issue with the ice. Instead of informing us, the staff simply replaced the drink without consultation. At dinner, incorrect dishes were brought to our table, and when we pointed it out, we were told the mistake was due to our ordering. One evening, a staff member pressured us to pay immediately and insisted on accompanying us to the reception to clarify the charge, even though we explained that we wanted to charge it to the room. At reception, we were told that charging to the room was perfectly fine. At check-out, we also discovered that one dinner had been charged twice. In addition, our room key stopped working several times on the day of departure — even though we had paid extra for a late check-out. The food and beverage offering is disappointing. The selection is very limited, especially for non-all-inclusive guests, with very few healthy options. The bar menus — both at the beach bar and the main bar — are closer to snack-bar level than to a hotel of this category. All-inclusive wine is served from cartons, and plastic water bottles are placed on the dinner tables. At breakfast, fresh juices often ran out quickly and were not refilled. The restaurant is frequently overcrowded, making it difficult to find a table. Compared to other hotels in Soma Bay, this property offers noticeably less atmosphere, entertainment, and overall quality. In Conclusion: Beautiful location and beach, but service, organization, and overall standards unfortunately do not meet expectations for a hotel in this category. There are clearly better alternatives in Soma Bay.

AAnonymous UserConclusion first: I don't recommend going to Hurghada to spend money and get humiliated. All the staff discriminate against Chinese people. If you have to go, you can consider this hotel 1. Service: The restaurant staff is OK, but – The staff on the beach will chat with white people very enthusiastically and ask what they want to drink, but I just skipped it. According to my observation, Chinese people all get their drinks from the bar. Interesting, the main purpose is to secretly disgust you. After complaining to the manager, there was no improvement (the management team apologized sincerely, but Egypt's structural discrimination may be unsolvable) – I was yelled at by the staff on the beach for moving an unused fence (the white people next to me used two without any problem) 2. Facilities: It is said that there are four restaurants, but it is impossible to make an appointment, which means that there is only one restaurant, and the food is at the level of a cafeteria. Only the barbecue bar is OK. Anyone who has stayed in all-inclusive hotels in other places can't praise it 3. Room: The decoration is very poor, the level of domestic cheap and fast hotels, and the three words ”guesthouse” are the most accurate description In short, Hurghada is not recommended at all, and this hotel has a relatively good evaluation

MM440560****The check-in process at the front desk was incredibly slow; I waited over ten minutes, only to be given a room completely different from the sea-view room I booked—it faced a wall! I had to get angry before they finally switched me to a room with a sea view. It’s best to double-check everything at the front desk when checking in, especially since the rooms are quite a distance from the front desk, and the restaurant is across from the front desk, requiring a walk from the beach. This hotel's pool and beach don't prohibit Muslim swimwear, but the cleanliness felt average, and the facilities are a bit old. A particular note for parents: the pool under the children's play area is very deep. Even though there are lifeguards, parents should definitely accompany their children. The food is typical Egyptian quality, with freshly cut fruit and two dishes prepared live daily. The location is quite good, right in the middle of a lively area and very close to the city pier. However, be cautious of the small Egyptian souvenir shops to the left of the main entrance; I don't recommend them. If you really want to shop there, go with a group. The hotel also has its own pier for direct sea excursions, but be sure to choose your boat captain carefully. The hotel's landscaping is well-maintained with many cats, and the beach water is crystal clear, perfect for spotting small fish and water birds. There's morning yoga by the sea and evening entertainment. There are many hotels in this area, so you might consider staying at a few to get a different experience.

AAnonymous UserOur stay at Steigenberger Aqua Magic in Hurghada was absolutely fantastic! The overall environment is beautiful, with lush greenery, numerous pools, and relaxing areas everywhere, creating a wonderful vacation vibe. The room was clean, tidy, and quite spacious. The bedding was comfortable, making for a very relaxing stay. Housekeeping was prompt every day, and the attention to detail was excellent. The dining experience was also a big plus. The buffet offered a wide variety of choices that changed daily, and the food tasted great, catering to different preferences. The hotel's water park is definitely a highlight, with plenty of facilities perfect for families with kids or friends looking to have fun. The private beach is another gem, with fine sand and beautiful clear water, making for great photo opportunities. Overall, the service was top-notch. The staff were friendly and responsive, making us feel very comfortable. All in all, this is a highly recommended resort hotel with great value for money, perfect for relaxation and leisure. We would definitely come back if we have the chance! 👍

JJamie ThooWe had a disappointing experience using Uber while trying to go to Senzo Mall, which is actually very close to the hotel. The price shown in the app was 1 pound, but the driver asked for 5 pounds instead. This made us feel uncomfortable and sadly felt like we were being taken advantage of. Because of this, we decided not to proceed and instead booked a taxi directly through the hotel. Although the price was 4 pounds, it felt much safer, clearer, and more reliable. For other travelers, we would recommend using the hotel’s taxi service for peace of mind, especially if you are unfamiliar with the area. As a small suggestion, it would be great if the hotel could consider providing a shuttle bus service for guests to travel around nearby places such as Senzo Mall, which would make getting around even more convenient and comfortable.

GGuest UserA magnificent location, in a pedestrian-accessible old town with shops and restaurants, near the island beach Zeytona, to which they take a boat or 10 min walk, there is a restaurant on this island with a bar. Great breakfasts. Excellent service everywhere, guys are very hard, not from under the stick but from the soul. The hotel is certainly softly saying ”weary”, it is necessary to renovate, but the staff and location will compensate for it))). I will be happy to come back.

AAlixosLet’s start with that the team went above and beyond so that we have the best experience. We got a very clean and modern room but was on the ground floor. We asked for a room on a higher floor so they showed us different options but clarified that they weren’t renovated yet. The next day they moved us to a renovated room on a higher floor (the photos attached). The team’s response is quick. We had breadkfast and dinner included. The breakfast is a variety of cheese, turkey and chicked slices, baked goods, pancakes eggs, sausages, vegetables, fruits and drinks, etc. The dinner we had was mainly salads, rice, kufta (minced beef with spices, cooked potatoes, duck, baked goods, and deserts. Finally, the resort has access to the beach/sea, it is across the street though and a 10 min walk away.  Thanks for the team for making our experience and vacation as chill and relaxing as possible.
