We stayed at Grand Waterworld Makadi as a family of four, two adults and two children aged 4 and 5, and the hotel honestly exceeded our expectations. We arrived around 12:00 PM and had a very smooth check-in. The reception was calm and organized, and a special thanks to Mr. Mohamed Sabry, who was extremely welcoming, professional, and helpful. We received welcome drinks and were in our room within about 10 to 15 minutes. Without even asking, Mr. Mohamed Sabry arranged a very convenient room for us, close to the kids' aqua park, restaurants, and elevator. Since the resort is very large and we had two young children, this made a huge difference. The room was very spacious, more like a suite than a standard room, with a living area and two sofas that could be used as beds for the children. The furniture is a little old, especially the wood, but it was not a problem for us. The room was comfortable and practical. We also found a welcome plate of desserts, fruit, and soft drinks in the room, which was a very nice touch. The food was very good. The main Sun and Sand restaurants had a good variety, and everything felt clean and fresh. The staff were always smiling, helpful, and attentive, especially with the children. The à la carte restaurants were one of the highlights of our stay. There are Mexican, Italian, Kebab, Vino, and German options. Mr. Mohamed Sabry helped us arrange our dinner reservations during our four-night stay. The Kebab restaurant had very good grilled food, and our favorite was definitely the Italian restaurant. The steak was excellent, and the table service made it feel like dining in a proper restaurant. The snack options were also excellent. Places like the African and Tropical restaurants work more like proper restaurants, where you sit down, order from a menu, and the food is served to your table. There were also plenty of options for children throughout the day, including ice cream, waffles, pancakes, popcorn, juices, and snacks. Bottled water and drinks were always easy to find. The kids' aqua park was fantastic and one of the best we have experienced in a resort. There are many slides and pools, and our children loved it. Safety was taken seriously, with lifeguards present throughout the area. At one point I mentioned to a supervisor that one slide area was getting crowded, and he immediately added another lifeguard. I really appreciated the quick response. The resort also has many different pools, including a wave pool and a sandy beach-style pool area. The landscaping is beautiful, with plenty of greenery, palm trees, shaded areas, and attractive Islamic-inspired architecture. The beach was another major highlight. It is sandy, clean, beautiful, and directly accessible from the resort. There were plenty of sunbeds, so it never felt overcrowded. Snorkeling was also surprisingly good because you can see fish and marine life even in relatively shallow water without having to swim far out. But the number one thing that made this hotel special was definitely the staff. From reception to the restaurants, beach, aqua park, lifeguards, and pool teams, everyone was friendly, smiling, and genuinely trying to make guests happy. I have stayed at several very good resorts before, including Albatros hotels, so my expectations were already high. Grand Waterworld Makadi exceeded them, and personally I enjoyed this stay even more than Albatros Portofino. For families with young children, I highly recommend this hotel. Great staff, excellent aqua park, beautiful beach, very good food, plenty of snacks and drinks, spacious rooms, and a relaxing atmosphere. We had a wonderful four-night stay and would definitely consider coming back again. Special thanks again to Mr. Mohamed Sabry and all the staff who made our holiday so enjoyable.

The Solymar beach resort is not the most expensive resort in the Hurghada/Safaga area, but it’s also not the cheapest. Because of this, we were expecting it to be quite middle-of-the-range in terms of quality. At every turn, we were pleasantly surprised and delighted. The staff were friendly and courteous - whether at the reception, in the restaurant, or walking past someone watering the grass, you are guaranteed a friendly greeting. Everyone is quick to know their customers - after just a day in our usual spot on the beach, Ahmed knew our usual order. The hyper-energetic Magic Entertainment team members were also quick to build rapport and make us feel included in the resort vibes. We plunged immediately into extreme relaxation with a “honeymoon massage” at the spa, which included time in the dry and steam saunas, a special hammam exfoliation ritual on a heated marble slab, a full-body Dead Sea mud wrap, and an oil massage. The masseuses were talkative and playful - possibly not to everyone’s taste, but this seems to be the Egyptian way and certainly got me smiling and giggling along. There is not a moment of the day when you might be at risk of going hungry. From the early breakfast in the main restaurant, to the late breakfast at the beach, to the drinks and snacks on offer throughout the day at the pool bar and restaurant, there is always a wide array of quality F&B choices. There is some variation from day -to-day options, and it’s always worth checking out the “fresh-from-the-grill” area to see what the day’s speciality may be. Part of the stay includes one complementary meal at one of the two a la carte restaurants (Italian/Egyptian) where the food is a level or two up from what’s served in the buffets. Go hungry - the Egyptian meal included a starter of hot and cold mezze, a soup, a main course and a dessert (with alternative plant-based and kiddies’ menus). The resort has done a lot to ensure that it is eco friendly. Apart from the usual request to hang up towels to save water on unnecessary cleaning, they also purify their own water, which is left in your room in chilled glass bottles (it tastes a little weird, but it’s good for the planet). Overall, highly recommend the Solymar resort.

We usually visit several hotels during our trips, and generally, they're all pretty similar. But THIS hotel is something else entirely – it's Rixos-level luxury! It seems the hotel is still new and hasn't built up enough of a reputation for sky-high prices yet, so you get Rixos quality at Albatros rates. The food is amazing; salmon and shrimp are commonplace here. The staff are friendly and attentive. I particularly want to commend Mohamed at the front desk. He's a young man who's incredibly dedicated to his job. We got an early check-in from him just for a smile. When we lost an AirPod, he helped us resolve the issue. It was my wife's birthday, and he made sure we were congratulated, and he helped with many other things. Not once did I see a bored look or any hint of expecting a tip... We really regret that our trip is already planned out and we have to move on to the next hotel. If we had known how great it would be here, we would have spent our entire vacation right here.

I spent 11 days at Amarina Sapphire Hurgada Resort and overall was very happy with my stay. We stayed in a Deluxe Sea View Room with Jacuzzi, which I would definitely highlight as one of the hotel’s main advantages. The bathroom is spacious, the jacuzzi is large and comfortable, and the room itself is very pleasant for a longer stay. The staff. This is probably the hotel’s biggest strength. The staff genuinely make an effort to ensure that guests have a comfortable stay and respond quickly to any requests. I would especially like to mention Fatma, the Guest Relations Manager, and Remon, the Hotel Manager. Thanks to their attention and willingness to resolve any issues, many minor inconveniences never became real problems. What I appreciated most was that the staff did not simply accept requests formally — they genuinely tried to help. For example, we had an evening flight, and the Hotel Manager kindly arranged a late check-out until 6:00 PM at no additional charge. This is a significant advantage for guests with late flights. À la carte restaurants. The hotel has three à la carte restaurants: Italian, Mexican, and Asian. At the time of our stay, visits to all three restaurants were free of charge and included in the room rate, which I consider a great advantage. It is a nice way to add some variety to your meals instead of eating exclusively at the main restaurant. The beach and beach bar. I really liked the level of service on the beach. As soon as guests arrive, the staff come over to help arrange and adjust the sun loungers and provide fresh, wet towels. Snacks and drinks can also be brought directly to your lounger. The beach staff are attentive without being intrusive, which makes relaxing by the sea very comfortable. Entertainment and evening program. There was live music with vocal performances on the hotel grounds every evening. In addition, pool parties with live musicians were organized approximately once a week. For guests who enjoy some evening entertainment in addition to a relaxing beach holiday, this is a nice bonus. Things to keep in mind Room cleanliness. On the first day, our room had not been cleaned particularly well. However, after contacting reception, the issue was resolved very quickly: the room was cleaned almost immediately, and we had no further complaints about the quality of housekeeping during our stay. So I would consider this more of a one-time issue that the staff handled promptly. Pillows. The pillows in the room are very large and were personally uncomfortable for me. However, this was also easily resolved: after contacting reception, we were provided with different, more comfortable pillows. Construction work. The hotel is still being completed, so construction and renovation work is ongoing in some areas. At times, this can be noisy. If having complete peace and quiet during the daytime is important to you, this is something to keep in mind. Minibar. There is no fully stocked minibar in the room. Drinks are provided only once, on the day of arrival, and are not replenished afterwards. Alcohol. The hotel mainly serves locally produced Egyptian alcohol, which, in my opinion, is fairly average in quality. However, this is quite common in hotels in Hurghada, so I would not consider it a serious disadvantage of this particular hotel. Overall, I had a positive experience. Yes, the hotel has some drawbacks, primarily related to the ongoing construction and a few minor day-to-day issues. However, for me, the biggest advantage was that the staff genuinely care about the comfort of their guests and are quick to resolve any issues that arise. I particularly enjoyed the beach service, the à la carte restaurants, the evening entertainment, and, of course, the room with the jacuzzi. I would recommend this hotel for a holiday, especially if you value attentive staff and good service. I hope that once all construction work is completed, the overall experience will become even better.

The location and the beach at Sheraton Soma Bay are truly beautiful, and the welcome upon arrival was friendly and attentive. The property is well maintained, but overall it feels quite outdated and somewhat old-fashioned. Unfortunately, we experienced several service and organizational issues during our stay. At the beach bar, we ordered a milkshake but were served a juice instead without being asked — we were later told there was an issue with the ice. Instead of informing us, the staff simply replaced the drink without consultation. At dinner, incorrect dishes were brought to our table, and when we pointed it out, we were told the mistake was due to our ordering. One evening, a staff member pressured us to pay immediately and insisted on accompanying us to the reception to clarify the charge, even though we explained that we wanted to charge it to the room. At reception, we were told that charging to the room was perfectly fine. At check-out, we also discovered that one dinner had been charged twice. In addition, our room key stopped working several times on the day of departure — even though we had paid extra for a late check-out. The food and beverage offering is disappointing. The selection is very limited, especially for non-all-inclusive guests, with very few healthy options. The bar menus — both at the beach bar and the main bar — are closer to snack-bar level than to a hotel of this category. All-inclusive wine is served from cartons, and plastic water bottles are placed on the dinner tables. At breakfast, fresh juices often ran out quickly and were not refilled. The restaurant is frequently overcrowded, making it difficult to find a table. Compared to other hotels in Soma Bay, this property offers noticeably less atmosphere, entertainment, and overall quality. In Conclusion: Beautiful location and beach, but service, organization, and overall standards unfortunately do not meet expectations for a hotel in this category. There are clearly better alternatives in Soma Bay.

Hotel location was great, the beach needed a bit of a walk but it was sandy and that's hard to find in hurghada. The pool was huge and the place was generally beautiful. Food quality is above expectations but not wow which is actually good enough for an open However I didn't like the service at all. They gave me a room so far which is annoying with an infant even though I explicitly requested it, they gave me two towel cards and complained about not having three on check out for my baby, room towels were taken from the room around 10 am or earlier but fresh towels were not provided till 4 pm. Had to walk to the front desk to complain because the phone guide wasn't provided Overall the premises were beautiful and the stay was not bad but the quality of service was not up to expectations

I recently stayed at Mercure Hotel, and overall I had a really good experience. The food was alright—definitely better than what I’ve had in all-inclusive hotels in Turkey or Tunisia. There was a wide variety of dishes, including lots of tasty options, cakes, tea, coffee (which was actually good), cocktails, and decent beer. The service was excellent. The staff were very polite and always willing to help—you can ask them anything and they’ll do their best. A special mention goes to Ahmed, the kitchen chef, who is an incredibly kind person. He really stood out, and I’d give an extra star just for him. The resort overall is not as busy as many other places in the area, which I really liked. It’s a smaller hotel compared to others nearby, with a simple, nice look—white buildings with brown windows, just like in the photos. It’s not a big aqua park-style resort, but honestly that was a plus for me, as I could relax without too many kids around. The beach is nice and quiet, perfect for relaxing. There are comfortable beds with shades/umbrellas around, so you can always find a good spot. The hotel has three swimming pools—the one next to the main restaurant is very large and usually empty, as most people stay at the smaller pool or by the beach. The sea water was a bit cold for my preference, but it’s beautifully clear and very clean. Many people really enjoy it, especially for snorkeling—there are amazing snorkeling spots right next to the resort. Rooms are cleaned every day, and you get two bottles of water per room daily, which is a nice touch. There are also plenty of activities: you can play tennis (though they only have one set of rackets), mini golf is included in the stay, and there’s a gym which is usually empty. There are snacks available by the pools and the beach, and a bar in the main restaurant. Outside the hotel, taxis are easy to find either at the lobby or on the street. Just make sure to agree on the price beforehand, or use the inDrive app—it’s usually cheaper than Uber or Careem, and you agree on the price upfront. There are a few shops nearby as well. If you need medication, it’s better to order from Self Care Pharmacy (you can find them on Facebook). For example, I ordered Antinal and rehydration salts with delivery for only 250 Egyptian pounds. They can deliver pretty much anything you need, and it’s much cheaper than buying inside the resort—definitely good to be prepared for emergencies. Overall, it’s a clean, more peaceful hotel with good service, plenty of food options, and lots to do. A great place to relax and enjoy the Red Sea.

The **food** was simply outstanding. The quality, taste, and unbelievable variety exceeded all expectations. Every meal offered something new and delicious, making dining one of the highlights of our stay. The **staff** deserve special recognition. Every single member of the team was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and professional. They were always smiling and genuinely happy to help, serving guests with dedication and pleasure. Their positive attitude made us feel at home from the very first day. A special thank you goes to **Mr. Nader** at the Reception. He is, without a doubt, one of the best hotel reception managers I have ever met. He is highly professional, courteous, and an excellent problem-solver. Any issue was handled quickly and efficiently, always with a smile. I would also like to thank **Mr. Mohamed Moawad** from the Food & Beverage Department. He is one of the finest professionals at the hotel—extremely humble, welcoming, respectful, and genuinely caring about the guests' comfort. Another person who deserves special praise is **Chef Mahmoud**. He is simply one of the best. His passion and dedication are reflected in the outstanding quality of the food served throughout the resort. The team at the **Eastern Restaurant** was exceptional. They were warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive. **Mostafa** and **Ashraf** and **Mohamed**deserve special recognition for their excellent service and kindness. Dining there was always a wonderful experience. The **Room Service** was also excellent. **Majed** is a kind-hearted gentleman who serves guests with genuine dedication, professionalism, and a cheerful attitude. His hard work did not go unnoticed. The **beach** is beautiful, sandy, clean, and perfect for families. There were always plenty of available sunbeds and enough space for everyone to relax comfortably without feeling crowded. The hotel offers a great selection of restaurants: * The International Restaurant next to the Reception. * The Pasta Restaurant on the second floor. * The Eastern Restaurant with its outdoor grill near the Reception. * The large white beach restaurant serving Shawarma, Burgers, Hot Dogs, and Pizza. * Another beach restaurant serving snacks and French fries. Every one of these restaurants offered excellent food and service. The only point I would suggest improving is the **swimming pool area**. The hotel has only one main pool, which is not enough considering the large number of guests staying at the resort. Overall, my family and I had an outstanding holiday. The excellent hospitality, delicious food, beautiful beach, and the genuine kindness of the staff made this one of our best vacations. I highly recommend **The Grand Hotel Hurghada** and look forward to returning again.

泄湖景完全是來搞笑的，所謂泄湖就是個小水泡，陽臺中間還隔着一段距離和樹擋着，跟其他評論一樣，存在一定的歧視，但是大部份工作人員還是挺友善的，雖然這本來就是他們應該做的。中間想加錢升級海景，帶我們去看的也還是一個稍微大一點的水泡而已，工作人員告訴我這已經是最好的海景房了，最後並沒有升級，泳池開放時間特別晚關閉時間卻很早，如果要出海這家酒店完全沒必要，吃的甚至不如國內100塊錢人民幣的自助餐，基本都靠吃麪包吃飽的，我們拿行李小費給了一美金態度還可以，同行的另一對沒有零錢了給了10埃磅態度就很差，對於一家五星級酒店這種事不應該發生，還是建議加錢選擇更好的全包酒店，或者普通的全包，想省錢或者出海沒有時間在酒店那就市區選擇一家便宜的就好了，這邊出行也並不方便，最後，我們check out的時候工作人員態度非常好，忘記問他的名字了，當看到我們自己拿行李過來了一直在向我道歉，告訴我他們應該安排擺渡車過來接我們的，海邊和泳池邊工作人員也很好，太陽下山後我們想去游泳，海邊的工作人員告訴我太陽下山後海里很危險，並且開玩笑説會有鯊魚，泳池邊的工作人員很耐心的告訴我泳池關閉了，要消毒，會傷眼睛，總的來説，真的不值這個價

This all-inclusive hotel offers great value for money. My cultural trip through Egypt finally got better in Hurghada. Many people say the buffet is mediocre, but I personally thought it was pretty good. Maybe it's because I hadn't had a proper meal for days in Egypt, so having a buffet really felt like a blessing. There's a small convenience store right outside the hotel, which is super handy for buying things. The only downside is the internet; it's really poor and barely connects.
