"Love this hotel. It was clean and easy to find. A bit near the train station, there’s a 7-11 right across the street, near the bus stop as well. Uber is like 1 minute away. Love the room amenities and toiletries."

"The onsen is great! There is also a ”hidden” spring which I enjoyed soaking into. It is quite unreachable via public transport. They do have scheduled pick-ups and drop-offs at Shikotsuko bus terminal (via reservation). If you did not book dinner or breakfast, be sure to buy food before going, as there aren't many options. Since it is a very traditional ryokan, there are no showers in the rooms (at least in the one I had). You must take a bath in the onsen. I emjoyed my one-night stay here."

"Here's a review/guide: 1. Honestly, the location is quite remote. The last bus from Chitose Station is at 4 PM. If you're coming from central Sapporo, you'd probably need to leave by 2 PM. I left at 3:30 PM and missed it, ending up paying 14,000 JPY for an Uber. 2. The service, however, was excellent. Upon arrival, they inform you of dinner times, and for breakfast, you can choose between 7 AM or 9 AM. 3. There's also a 9:30 AM shuttle bus to the airport for 1,300 JPY, but it's annoying that they only accept cash. So, I took the free 11 AM shuttle that dropped me off at Chitose train station instead. 4. You can see a picture of the dinner menu (Photo 1). Breakfast is similar to dinner, just without sashimi and with tofu instead. 5. They mentioned a beautiful sunset, but I didn't get to see it. It's probably best to arrive early. 6. There's a pretty lake nearby. I took a quick look in the morning, and I personally think it would make for great photos, especially if paired with the sunset the hotel mentioned. 7. The onsen (hot spring) is private. I didn't try any others, so I can't comment on them. 8. There really are deer nearby! I saw them twice when they drove me to the station in the morning, but unfortunately, the car was too fast for me to get a picture."

"Exceptional Private Onsen & Hokkaido Flavors. Overall Impression: A perfect blend of convenience and cozy. Despite the bustling atmosphere and classic, dark decor, the private onsen and dining experience make this a standout choice in the area. Hightlights: The room: Spacious with beautiful wooden floors and a private outdoor onsen. Soaking in the heat while snow falls is pure magic. Features like the ”His&Her” sinks and an in-room massage chair make our stay more comfortable. All complimentary in the room adds a thoughful touch. Dining: The buffet offers and impressive variety of local dishes alongside beautifully plated mains. Even when busy, the staff sustematically managed the seating, ensuring we enjoyed the stunning winter views comfortably. The Hokkaido cheese pizza and dessert are absolute must-tries. Location and Service: Perfectly situated in the heart of the sightseeing district, with famous sweet shop right nearby. The complimentary valet parking and polight, perfessional staff made our stay seamless. Observations: Atmosphere: The common areas can feel a bit crowded due to its popularity. Design: The room interiors are a bit outdated and lean toward very dark tones, and notably, Netflix is not available on the in-room TV. Note: Windows are fixed; ventilation is managed via the onsen balcony door. Verdict: Highly recommended for foodies and onsen lovers who want to be the center of the action."

"Everything is good, the food is very exquisite, the sense of ceremony is full, but the food is exquisite, the actual taste and ingredients are ordinary, no merit or fault. The overall experience is affirmed. Before booking, I saw in the comment area that the charge for bringing children is no more than 1,000 yuan per person. When I settled the bill, I was shocked to see the price. One child added almost 4,000 yuan per night. We brought two children and added 8,000 yuan per night, which is equivalent to one night's room rate. I especially want to know if the hotel has always charged this way? We stayed for two nights and added almost 16,000 yuan. The room type we booked on Ctrip did not include dinner. It was simply a big sucker. Just a reference for the Chinese compatriots behind, you don’t have to stay, you can stay. The hotel is OK in all aspects, the public area is pretty, the room is large but lacks design. It’s more homely! But there are few facilities, it’s not suitable for parents and children, and the price discourages parents and children. I stayed in Park Hyatt in Kyoto, Japan, a very good hotel. The children were only charged for breakfast. The cost of the children in the Azuki Seat is too exaggerated. In addition, the Shikotsu Lake next to the hotel is quite beautiful, but the transportation here is really inconvenient. The hotel has a pick-up at Chitose Airport, but it is only at 16:45 in the afternoon, so it is really difficult to connect. We took a taxi because there were few cars at night, and the taxi cost about 500 RMB. A taxi from the hotel to Sapporo JR is about 1000 RMB. "Lake Shikotsu is the northernmost ice-free lake in Japan. It has a charming view. The area of the lake is more than ten times the size of West Lake in our country. It is surrounded by four large mountains and surrounded by virgin forests. There are not as many tourist groups as Lake Toya. It is atmospheric, quiet and beautiful. . It coincides with the opening of Lake Shikotsu Ice Sculpture Festival, 300 yen per person, three minutes walk, worth visiting at night. From the north gate of Sapporo Station, there is a white, blue and green wing bus that can pick you up to the hotel for a fee. The Italian cuisine for dinner is more delicious than I thought. There are eight hotels in total, and each family can reserve two outdoor baths for one hour each. As a hot spring hotel, the full suit of the waiter is a little weird. In fact, the restaurant owner changed his job to provide hotel services. The details are still different from the old hot spring hotel, and they are not listed one by one. A reminder, don’t live in Marukoma at Lake Shikotsu. It’s just a lonely hotel on the westernmost bank. There are dozens of Chinese tourists who flew out during the wing pick-up. There are no Japanese! There are densely packed hotels on the east bank, as well as the Ice Sculpture Festival, the cruise ship dock and the hot spring street to stroll around. If the weather is good, you can enjoy the sunset. To sum up, if Cuiming Pavilion can book the only lake-view hot spring room, it is worth it. If you can't book it, then consider Song of Water. I don't think it is cost-effective near 4k here."

"We had a wonderful stay at Portom International Hokkaido and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. The hotel feels very new and modern, and everything was exceptionally clean and well maintained. The onsen was one of our favourite parts of the stay. It was beautifully designed, peaceful, and a great way to relax after a long day. We also appreciated having access to a well-equipped gym, which was spotless and had everything needed for a good workout. The room amenities were surprisingly comprehensive. It wasn’t just the usual toiletries—they even provided thoughtful extras like air freshener, onsen pj, actual pj, bedroom slippers which made the stay feel extra comfortable and convenient. Overall, the service, cleanliness, and quality of the facilities really stood out. Portom International Hokkaido made our trip even more enjoyable, and we’d happily recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and premium stay near the airport."

"The hotel room was clean, comfortable, and the hotel is located near the train station in the quieter Chitose area, which made for a relaxing stay. The staff were friendly, helpful, and provided great room service. One of the biggest highlights was the convenient airport transportation, especially a huge relief when we had to manage our suitcases in the snow. There is also a shopping mall near the hotel, along with a large shoe plaza offering many options at reasonable prices. The staff there were incredibly kind and provided excellent service, making the experience even more enjoyable."

"This hotel is located right inside the airport, which is incredibly convenient for early flights or late arrivals. There are plenty of dining and shopping options nearby. The room was a bit small but comfortable, and the bedding was great. Plus, they have a hot spring bath! Highly recommend."

"The hotel and its rooms are brand new. Although the bed isn't huge, it's perfectly adequate. The upside of a smaller bed is that it frees up more floor space. In a room of the same size, I had more room to walk around and easily fit my 26-inch suitcase without it getting in the way. It was very clean and comfortable, I really liked it. The hotel is conveniently located just a minute's walk from the JR station, and it's also very close to New Chitose Airport, only a 10-15 minute train ride away. There's a bus stop next to the hotel for trips to Lake Shikotsu, and about a 15-minute walk brings you to an Aeon store, which is more like a supermarket than a large department store. Right next door to the hotel is a library called MACHI Library @ Chitose. When I didn't feel like being alone in my room, I'd go there to sit. There were locals, students, mothers, and children – it felt very warm and inviting, and I really enjoyed being among people. The hotel front desk staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. There are some great eateries in the surrounding neighborhood; just open Google Maps and explore! They're delicious and not overly crowded. The only downside was the price of the coin-operated washing machines. A single wash cost 2-3 times more than at other hotels I stayed at in Sapporo and Asahikawa. The dryer, however, wasn't more expensive than elsewhere. The soundproofing at this hotel is excellent. I didn't hear any noise and was able to sleep soundly even without earplugs. If I visit Chitose again, I would definitely choose this hotel."
