A huge shout-out to the guesthouse owner for the freshly cooked chicken soup rice noodles she made every morning – they were absolutely delicious and incredibly fragrant. It's very close to Banxia Hot Springs, just a few minutes' walk away, and the nearby lakeside scenic area is also within walking distance. A restaurant nearby, recommended by the owner, was delicious, clean, and inexpensive, with a sophisticated ambiance. There's so much more I could say and comment on, but in short: thank you to the founder of this guesthouse for providing such a wonderful experience for travelers like myself, who have high standards for guesthouses. The most delightful hotel I stayed at during my trip. The package, including a ticket to Dongfengyun, cost just over 300 yuan. After the ticket, it was only about 100 yuan, and I got a brand new hotel of the same quality as a 400-500 yuan Atour or Ji Hotel. All the facilities were great. However, the breakfast was too healthy – all whole grains. Dongfengyun is definitely worth a visit; the scenery is idyllic. But beware of Ma's Braised Chicken Rice Noodles in the city center – it's a total disappointment! I've been feeling bloated for two days since eating there.
