Pet Friendly Hotels in Kunshan

Our stay at Zhouzhuang Zen Yili was absolutely wonderful—a perfect blend of comfort, warmth, and convenience! Taxi can dropped us off within 1 minute walking distance away from Zen Yili. Zhouzhuang ancient village entrance is just a few minutes walk from Zen Yili making it incredibly convenient for sightseeing and activities. The peaceful surroundings of the homestay also added to the relaxing vibe. The hosts, both husband and wife were exceptionally kind and gave us great local tips. They provided us more than enough fresh fruits, tea, biscuits and mineral water. I was surprised also that the room was with full mosquitoes nettings with even anti mosquitoes device provided if needed. During our stay the homestay and its surroundings ware without mosquitoes. The room was spotless, with fresh linens and a cozy atmosphere. The bathroom was of five star standard for its fittings, and was very well-maintained. Before we checked out, we were given delicious homemade biscuits out of their hospitality. They also arranged for us a reliable and comfortable pickup after checked out. For the price, this homestay offered excellent value. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to couples, families, or solo travelers looking for a peaceful retreat in Zhouzhuang ancient village.

The hotel is in a great location, inside Zhouzhuang water town (which is absolutely stunning day or night). Upon arrival the owner sent me a message on WeChat with the basic instructions and some recommendations, and explained that because the hotel is located inside the scenic area of Zhouzhuang there is a ticket fee one would have to pay if they enter between 8am and 5pm but before or after that time entrance is free, so it is best to leave and enter before or after those times. She also recommended a theatre performance to me and got a ticket at a discounted price which was nice (the theatre performance was incredible too). Since before arrival I had a bit of trouble with my payment methods, but the owner was very patient and kind and gave me time to solve the problem. The room was modern and clean, with well working appliances and a big bed.

This guesthouse is really great! It has its own unique charm, the surroundings are beautiful, and it's super clean and tidy. A shuttle picked us up right at the parking lot, and it's only about a hundred meters from the scenic area entrance, making it incredibly convenient for getting around. The guesthouse also has its own restaurant, and the dishes are exquisitely prepared and taste amazing. Highly, highly recommend! 👍👍👍

Sleeping by the water, I truly understood the 'poetry amidst the hustle and bustle.' My stay at this B&B in Zhouzhuang was incredibly comfortable. It perfectly blends ancient charm with modern comforts. We had dinner at the inn, and the owner cooked it himself – it was absolutely delicious! Checking out felt like saying goodbye to an old neighbor; I was genuinely reluctant to leave. Next time I'm in Zhouzhuang, I'm definitely heading straight back here!

The room was incredibly clean, especially the bathroom – I was very impressed. Traveling with a child, a clean place was a priority. Our room overlooked the river, offering a beautiful view. When we arrived, the owner had thoughtfully turned on the air conditioning beforehand, which was lovely. As we were from out of town, the owner even helped us park and carried our luggage. They have two very gentle dogs that my child absolutely adored playing with. The dining recommendations from the owner were also great – clean and reasonably priced. Upon arrival, they provided us with a guide and even helped us find a fair-priced carpool for our return journey. The location is excellent, just a short walk to Double Bridges. If you get up early, you can enjoy a peaceful stroll through the ancient town again. A minor incident happened when my eldest son and I went out, accidentally leaving the room card inside while my younger son was still asleep. We asked the owner to watch him, feeling completely at ease, and went out for a while. This is the biggest advantage of a guesthouse over a hotel – it feels like home, and the owners are like family, always ready to help. The only slight drawback is that since our room faced both the river and the road, we couldn't open the windows at night due to the noise. However, with the air conditioning on, there's no need to open the windows, and with them closed, it's very quiet. There's a trade-off for having a river view, which is a personal preference. There were no mosquitoes either, so overall, I was very satisfied with our stay. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit.

I arrived in pouring rain. I thought I could walk to my hotel but it was impossible in the downpour. I didn’t want to bother any hotel owner.   I didn’t and still don’t  have an eSIM that can make local  call but thanks to Trip.com, there is a link that I could call the owner for free.  I didn’t advise the owners my arrival time so they were off running errands.  I called the owner to pick me up and thankfully he answered. He was busy but gracious enough to turn around and picked me up. It knew Zhouhuang requires a ticket but I didn’t know that no cars, nor motorcycles, nor bicycles are allowed. Without him I would have arrived the hotel easily.  I always like to meet the owners instead of employees . They were very helpful and answered all my questions. They are honest people who dedicate their  blood and sweat to their business. The owner even offered to walk me to the bus stop  to Suzhou which was my next destination.  This  operates two hotels with 9 in one and 6 in the other. The one that I stayed in with 9 rooms is in a  lively and busy area . Just outside the hotel is a restaurant and there are plenty of places to eat. Inside the hotel is a peaceful oasis where you won’t hear any noise. The location is the best. The other hotel is in a quieter neighborhood a few minutes away. Each of the 15 rooms has it’s own personality, is different and has its distinctive decoration. The owners said they decorated them themselves. I love the decoration and especially the lighting.  After you reserve a room, be sure to contact the owner for the exact address in case you want to arrive on your own. I think it is best to request the owner to take you there because he/she will lead you to the ticket booth to buy tickets. There are a number of bridges so heavy big luggages can be a bit of a challenge .  If you arrive after 5 pm, you can enter free of charge as no one is there to check your ticket. . But once you are inside, and if you choose to leave the area after 8 or 9 am until 5 pm, you have to pay to come back in. You can buy a one day or in my case 3 days pass.  Do check with the owner for up to date information.  The room was quite clean. There were hot water all the time. There were other guests during my stay but they were not noisy at all. I barely heard them. I slept very well during my 3 nights there.  Zhouhuang is really beautiful. There are many canals, bridges, boat rides, good food of all kinds. I had some of the best meals there. In fact , I ate in the same restaurant that serves dumpling twice. One night I had grill (BBQ) meat just outside the entrance for 4 yuans. .  There is decent size supermarket just outside the turnstile and not too far away is a much bigger supermarket. It was there where I bought half a Peking duck for only 32 yuans . The seller sliced the meat and separated the meat from  the bones. The bones he fried so it was crunchy.  It was delicious. There is a theater that offers performances. The night view is great. If you step out your room, you will be overwhelmed in a good sense by the exciting surroundings.  This hotel definitely is one of the best that I have ever stayed in. Look at the beautiful pictures and find one that you like.  I stayed only 3 nights and one of those days I went to Tongli. In my opinion, one should spend at least 2 to 3 full days in  Zhouhuang (and especially this hotel ) savor the ambience. I don’t think Tongli is worth the time because it was twice as expensive and there are not that many canals and boat rides. It is much quieter and has fewer things to see. . The worst is that the sightseeing places require you to show your ticket. After 2 places, I lost mine ticket and I  couldn’t get in the rest of the places. It is unnecessary to require proof of entrance because you can’t enter the area without a ticket. 

The service is attentive, the decoration of the house is the style I like, and the color matching is also my favorite. It is clean and very particular about every aspect, which is just right for me. Excellent service. In short, it's great! If I go again, I will stay here again

The environment of this guesthouse is truly exceptional, nestled in a peaceful village. Stepping outside, you can immediately feel the simple and natural rural atmosphere. The village itself is perfect for a leisurely stroll, enjoying the scenery along the way and letting your mind relax. The guesthouse also features a swimming pool. Although it's not a heated pool and not currently in use, which is a bit of a shame, I can just imagine how wonderful it would be to swim and sunbathe here in the summer. Additionally, dining is incredibly convenient, with hotpot and Chinese restaurants nearby, offering delicious hot meals just a short walk away. The most pleasant surprise was being able to order takeout smoothly even in this rural location – a perfect blend of modern convenience and the tranquility of a traditional village. I had originally hoped to book a room for ***** New Year's Eve, but it was already fully booked, which is a real pity. The guesthouse manager mentioned that there will be many lively activities in the village during the Spring Festival that guests can participate in, which is very thoughtful. I guess I'll have to wait until summer to visit then!

I arrived at 8 p.m., but they picked me up at the parking lot after I dropped off my taxi, making it a comfortable stay. It was almost right past the ticket office, which was really convenient if you have a lot of luggage. The room was spacious and clean, and the terrace offered a beautiful view. It was hot in the middle of summer, so I couldn't stay outside for long, but I think it would be nice to have tea in the spring and fall. The air conditioning worked well. When I took a taxi back to Shanghai, they even took me to the taxi stand, so I was able to enjoy the ride comfortably even in the blazing sun. This was my second visit to Zhouzhang, but I felt so comfortable and relaxed that I'd like to come back again, alone, and stay a day or two.

The location is excellent, just next to Shen Wansan Shuiyu, very close to the entrance of the ancient town. The price is there, and the facilities, sanitation and environment need to be improved. The toilet setting of the single bathroom is not convenient, and the toilet can be sideways. The overall price is better.
