Pet Friendly Hotels in Datong

The location is great, right on the edge of the old city. It's less than a 20-minute walk to the old city, or a short taxi ride for the minimum fare. Getting to Yungang Grottoes takes about half an hour. The environment is quite quiet and the facilities are decent. I particularly loved that the projector came with VIP access! Breakfast was healthy, clean, and hygienic.

Facilities: The hotel has been open for a year, so no worries about formaldehyde or anything like that. All the facilities and equipment are brand new, and the decor is also great. The mattress must be zero-pressure, it was super easy to fall asleep. Hygiene: Clean~ Environment: It's located within Datong Ancient City. We had such a short stay, but getting around was very convenient~ Service: The service was excellent, definitely worth the price. Very thoughtful, I felt right at home. I forgot to take pictures of the room, traveling like a 'special forces' really takes it out of you~ The complimentary snacks, drinks, and toiletries were all very practical. If I get the chance to visit Datong again, I'll definitely choose this place.

*The staff are nice to accomodate us. *The place is close to the scenic spot (few minutes by car). *The breakfast is not too bad. Few choices but it will fill you up.No drinks (juice or coffee). *The accomodation was nice to drop and pick us up at the scenic area.They dropped us off to the bus station going to Datong city. *Problem was the bad odour coming from the toilet. We think it’s from the drainage. We can’t even open the door for few minutes for air to come in because it is freezing. It’s negative degrees. *The room was nice and comfortable. I can’t find photos or video of the interior. The size of the room is perfect. It has a long bench.Table with 1 small chair.Tv, closet, slippers,toothbrush, hair dryer,kettle and 2 bottle of water. *Last picture was epic:)

After arriving in Datong, we went to Yingxian, and then returned to Datong to continue our trip… We ate at other places because we were exhausted and our luggage was heavy. We thought about contacting the owner to ask if they could pick us up, since it required advance booking. To our surprise, the owner agreed immediately – we were so happy! Facilities: Everything was relatively new, with smart appliances… The pillows were incredibly comfortable; after our previous stay, we slept like a log, it was so comfortable! Cleanliness: Comparable to a five-star hotel! There wasn't a single water stain, and they thoughtfully provided disposable toilet seat covers, which were very practical! Those who know, know. Environment: There was one room of each type, and I liked them all. The standard room had tatami mats and a window sill. The owner upgraded me to a double bed. The floor-to-ceiling window opened onto the balcony, where there were two cute little snowmen. The owner thoughtfully placed some snacks and fruit in the room. As a southerner, I wasn't used to the heating, and it was so hot! Thank goodness for the fruit – so refreshing! In the south, I only dare to eat fruit in air-conditioned rooms 😂 Finally, I asked the owner to help me mail some postcards. I was so envious that the post office here has such a long lunch break! The owner treated us tourists like family and friends. It's truly a joy to have friends coming from afar! Thank you so much! It made my last day in Datong incredibly happy!

We had a happy experience checking in at this hotel. The receptionist was very pleasant and helpful. We loved our room! It was bright and cheerful and spacious. The shower and drainage was very good. Location is fantastic, near the railway station and many bus services, especially for going to Yungang grottoes. There was a mall, with a hypermarket in the basement and minimarts around. What we like most was there was a washing machine and dryer for guests to use, free of charge! If we ever come to Datong again, we would stay here. Highly recommend this place!

We had an amazing stay and would highly recommend this hotel! The location is perfect for exploring the city center on foot. The hotel is brand new while beautifully preserving a traditional Chinese style, creating a unique and welcoming atmosphere. What truly made our stay exceptional was the staff. Everyone was incredibly kind, attentive, and always ready to help with a genuine smile. They went above and beyond to meet all of our needs and even welcomed us with a lovely afternoon snack, which was a very thoughtful touch. The breakfast was delicious, authentic Chinese cuisine with a wide variety of choices. We especially appreciated how seriously they take food allergies and dietary requirements, something that is unfortunately not common everywhere. Their attention to detail and willingness to accommodate every request made us feel truly cared for. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. We will definitely come back on our next visit!

We had a great stay for 4 nights at this homestay. Our room was very comfortable and offered enough space. The bed was quite had but we had a good sleep every night. The breakfast was only Chinese style but different every day. Coffee could be taken from their coffee corner. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Ok so here is my Honest review of this brand new hotel in Datong. I understand this is a brand new hotel so I hope this could help as a honest review. -Staff are helpful even for foreigners. They do their best to accommodate your questions and are very friendly. -Rooms are clean with all the necessary amenities. -Rooms dont smell like cigarettes/smoke unlike gmost other hotels. -Rooms are fairly spacious. -location is good, its still a fair 15-20min walk to alot of the sights such as the wall or the drama play but it is close to the fortress wall down south. -WIFI is very good, great signal. Things that i think need working on - The hotel is a little bit difficult to find, i dont recall seeing a sign, maybe becsuse it is brand new. I had to go into a neighbouring hotel to ask if it was the correct one and they helped me call this hotel and actually guided me here. - Although it says I have a courtyard window it is actually facing inside (as the rooms are undeeground) and the window is facing the hall way lol. - my biggest complaint is the lack of toilet roll, i was given one roll (which is fine) but the next day they didnt replenish it resulting in me running out...luckily I always keep tissue with me (A must in china for the public toilets) - As its basement level its hard to pick up reception on your phone. Overall, value for money I think is great for the location and the cleanliness. A few things to work on but its understandable for a new business.

Our stay was a pleasant surprise, far exceeding our expectations. From the moment we entered the lobby, the staff's friendly smiles and efficient, professional service impressed us. The rooms were elegantly designed, the bedding was very comfortable, and the bathroom featured a separate shower and toilet with ample water pressure – every detail reflected a commitment to quality. The hotel's meticulous service was particularly commendable: upon learning we were traveling by car, they proactively offered suggestions on nearby transportation. This provided a perfect way to relax after a long journey. The excellent location, comprehensive facilities, and personalized service complemented each other perfectly, making for a comfortable and pleasant stay. It wasn't just a place to rest during our trip, but also a part of a wonderful memory. This will definitely be our top choice for our next visit, and we will highly recommend it to our friends and family!

Ajummah at the front desk is very accommodating. I arrived at 6:30am and they were able to provide me a room at 8am. Very close to the railway station. The downside is room smells tobacco. The common bathroom is extremely dirty and smells like urine. There were even poop left is there without flashing down. I had to go up to the 3rd floor and use the bathroom there instead of the one in our floor. No towels, toiletries, slippers, hair dryer. If you just need a day to rest that is near the railways station, you can book this, otherwise look for other hotels in the area.
