"I recently stayed at the Xiyun Hotel Datong on a business trip. The overall experience far exceeded my expectations and I highly recommend it. The hotel's location is exceptionally advantageous, nestled in the Dongxin Plaza area. Surrounded by well-developed commercial facilities and convenient transportation, it's incredibly convenient for both commuting and shopping, saving me significant time and energy on my business trips. The front desk staff were highly professional, and the reception process was efficient and smooth. During check-in, they were enthusiastic and proactive, not only completing the formalities quickly but also patiently answering my questions about the hotel's facilities and surroundings. This attentive service made me feel cared for and respected even in a foreign city. The guest rooms were comfortable and pleasant, with a well-planned layout and elegant, simple decor. The bed had the perfect firmness and the high-quality linens provided a good night's sleep, ensuring a restful night's sleep after a busy day. The in-room amenities were well-equipped and functioned well, meeting all my business needs. The hotel's dining service was also commendable, with a rich and nutritious breakfast menu featuring both local specialties and more traditional Western dishes, catering to every palate. Furthermore, the hotel's strict security measures and excellent hygiene in both public areas and guest rooms create a safe and clean experience. The Xiyun Hotel Datong, with its prime location, excellent service, comfortable environment, and comprehensive facilities, provided me with a perfect stay. I believe that whether traveling for business or pleasure, choosing the Xiyun Hotel will not disappoint. I highly recommend it to everyone!"

"I stayed at the Holiday Inn for a one-night weekend trip. It's located outside the ancient city area; a taxi to the ancient city costs just over 10 RMB, and to Datong South Station, it's a bit more than 20 RMB. Even though Datong is theoretically in its off-season after the school year started, there are still many tourists. Restaurants in the ancient city still have long queues. Within 3 kilometers of the hotel, there are chain branches of popular restaurants like Longjuxiang, Kaige, and Sandaocai. While they still have queues, it's much better than the ancient city area. The hotel room is very spacious, over 30 square meters, with a king-sized bed. The breakfast selection is also very rich. P.S. I asked the front desk staff for dining recommendations. Besides the famous restaurants within 3km mentioned above, they also recommended the hotel's Chinese restaurant. I didn't get a chance to try it, but the prices were genuinely friendly."

"This is the most satisfying hotel I've stayed at in Datong. The hotel environment is excellent. As soon as I entered the room, there was a subtle, pleasant fragrance. The room was spacious and comfortable, and all the facilities were new without that 'new furniture' smell. It was exceptionally clean, and the bedding wasn't damp. I have to praise the mattress and the bathroom floor tiles. The mattress was incredibly comfortable for sleeping, and the pillows were memory foam, which was fantastic! I absolutely loved the bathroom floor tiles, they're so beautiful. Having a fridge in the room was also very convenient. The front desk staff provided excellent service too. There's a Wanda Plaza nearby, and many restaurants right outside, making it very convenient for getting around. Next time I come to Datong, I will definitely book this hotel again. It's simply perfect!"

"Summer vacation kicked off, so my two friends and I, along with four elementary school kids, decided to visit Shanxi to experience the rich history of its ancient architecture. It was definitely a worthwhile trip, full of amazing discoveries! As someone visiting an unfamiliar city for the first time, I felt compelled to take the time to write a review for Yunqi Shanyuan B&B. This place truly elevated our entire trip for all three families. The location is superb, right in the heart of the ancient city, making transportation incredibly convenient. In just about ten minutes on foot, we could easily reach various attractions within Datong's ancient city, like Dongnanyi, Daiwang Mansion, and Huayan Temple – all closely connected and bustling with activity! My friend meticulously researched and selected this hotel. It's relatively new since its opening, with modern and well-equipped facilities, including smart voice control (Xiao Du). It's impeccably clean, tidy, and its convenient location is beyond reproach. They even have a washing machine, a tea area, and a reading nook for kids. The complimentary buffet breakfast offers a wide variety of options, many of which are local specialties, and it was quite good. Finally, what truly impressed and touched my friends and me was the thoughtful and warm service from the owner and staff, from top to bottom. When we arrived in Datong after transferring from Taiyuan by high-speed train, two cars were arranged to pick us up right away. Despite the light rain, the staff had umbrellas ready and were waiting for us at the intersection, helping us with our luggage and getting us settled in. Everyone was delighted! They also provided plenty of snacks, toys, and complimentary fruit that the kids loved. Any request, big or small, was promptly addressed and arranged. The service level was on par with a five-star hotel! A heartfelt thumbs-up! 👍 I sincerely wish the owner a thriving business and believe that with such a sincere service philosophy, they will surely prosper for a long time!"

"Excellent service with a fantastic attitude. The location is super convenient, right next to Laoye Temple Flavored Restaurant and Kaige Restaurant. It's also just 2 kilometers in a straight line from the ancient city. The hotel's food and beverages are great value for money. Parking is hassle-free. The only downsides are that breakfast gets very crowded, and the quality and variety could be improved. Overall, it's a good hotel with great value, definitely recommended!"

"Location: The hotel is situated within the ancient city walls, making it a short walk to major attractions like Huayan Temple and Gulou Street. Service: The service was excellent. We stayed two nights and met different staff members, but every single one greeted guests with a warm smile and a proactive, friendly hello, which was very pleasant. Additionally, the complimentary airport pick-up service was a delightful surprise. The vehicle was new, spacious, and comfortable, and most importantly, the driver's service was incredibly thoughtful and outstanding! Ambiance: The hotel is a traditional Datong siheyuan (quadrangle courtyard). Although not very large, it has a homey feel. Lounging on the deck chair outside the room, soaking up the sun, and sipping on the complimentary sea buckthorn juice from the hotel was incredibly relaxing 😌. Breakfast: The breakfast was very distinctive, featuring a variety of delicious Datong dishes carefully prepared by the hotel's aunties – truly tasty. Next time I visit Datong, I will definitely come back to stay here again. Looking forward to it! 🥰"
