This stay really exceeded expectations, and must be praised by stars!
- The design is full: the room is a modern and simple style I love, the terrazzo sink, the vine partition and the Japanese tatami area, every detail is tasteful, the photo hair circle is asked!
- The sense of space is absolutely perfect: the open layout makes the whole room look particularly spacious, the bedding is soft and comfortable, and there is a super healing leisure area. The city view outside the window is simply the top enjoyment of the holiday. The view is super good, the child is super happy to climb on the window sill to watch the fireworks!
- Details control ecstasy: The projection, atmosphere lights, and intimate small ornaments in the room can all see the boss's intentions. The bathroom is separated from wet and dry, clean and spotless, so there is no need to worry about hygiene.
- Service is super intimate: from check-in to check-out, the whole experience is very smooth, the staff is warm and thoughtful, people feel as comfortable as at a friend's house.
It was really a perfect stay experience, I have included it in my ”must live list”, I will choose here next time! Highly recommend to all friends who pursue quality and atmosphere!"

"This hotel is well managed and very clean for Chinese standards. The host was accommodating and kind. The interior is cosy and boutique.
The toilets are annoying - they are electric and light up very much during the night. This is a problem since the bathroom door is see through. The toilets also make a lot of unnecessary sounds.
There were a lot of amenities, but no cotton make up pads.
The cats shouldn’t be allowed on the table, they looked way too comfortable there for me to fully enjoy my breakfast afterwards."

"Facilities: The room overall was good. A small suggestion: for the fireplace that adds to the ambiance, please check if it has water before guests check in. When traveling, everything presented in the room should be fully functional.
Cleanliness: Clean and tidy, very comfortable, and quiet.
Environment: Directly opposite downstairs is Huayan Temple. Transportation in all aspects is very convenient. Downstairs there's also a hot pot restaurant, very convenient for transport. The view of Huayan Temple from the lobby is indeed great.
Service: The service was good; they met all our requests. Staff were always at the staircase entrance to greet us when we went upstairs. Fresh fruit was updated daily, which was a really nice detail."

"Choosing the right hotel is so important! It's just a ten-minute walk from Datong Ancient City, and the scenery in Datong is absolutely stunning. The room was clean and bright, and the housekeeping was exceptionally thorough – not even a water stain on the vanity. The biggest surprise was how quiet it was; you couldn't hear any noise even in the hallway, which was a huge relief for someone like me who struggles with sleep. My overall experience exceeded expectations, and I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit!"

"On the day I checked in, I was shown available rooms in two different buildings. I felt the main building was better. The front desk and restaurant are all in one building, so even if the weather's bad, I don't have to go outside for breakfast. Plus, the main building felt fresher and cleaner.
The room facilities show that the renovation was done with great care; they used very good brands. The heating, toiletries, and bedding were all very comfortable. I even wanted to ask the owner what brand the down comforters were!
The mini-bar had snacks, fruit, and even books about ancient architecture, which was great for planning sightseeing.
It was quite close to Daiwang Mansion, where we watched the iron flower show at night. To get to the Drum Tower area or Huayan Temple, you could cycle, take a taxi, or walk a bit further.
Breakfast was simple but more than sufficient. The knife-cut noodles and bean flour were both good.
I used the pick-up service on the day I arrived, and I received a call as soon as I landed. Overall, I was quite satisfied with my stay and would recommend it to friends visiting Datong."

"Hands down the best and most unique hotel in Datong!
The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. Even though we stayed for a night only, they helped to carry our luggage up, escorted us to our car and personally brought us to the Main Street to explain to us how to explore.
The breakfast was also very simple and clean with veggies eggs and noodles which I appreciated after many oily meals in China.
Highlight? The themed hotel design that brings you back to the dynasty era! The hotel facilities were superb too with 小度 and heater. We felt warm even when outside is negative!

"The inn is located near the North Gate of the Ancient City, and it was easy to find. On the day of arrival, the host even called in advance to ask if we needed a pick-up, which was a very thoughtful touch. The surroundings are quite quiet, and getting around is convenient. It's about a kilometer's walk to Huayan Temple, and taxis are readily available for attractions further afield.
The inn seems to have been recently renovated; everything is new, clean, and hygienic. The room size is a bit small, but the space is utilized reasonably well. The wall-mounted water dispenser next to the washbasin is very convenient, offering direct drinking water at various temperatures. The mattress was neither too soft nor too firm, and the bedding was clean and comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. However, the lack of a wet/dry separation in the bathroom was a slight drawback. After showering, not only did the toilet get completely wet, but there was water on the floor when entering and exiting, leading to footprints everywhere, which was a bit inconvenient. Other than that, everything else was great.
I also want to commend the host, a lovely lady who was gentle and thoughtful. Her voice was soft, and her smile was like a breath of fresh air. When I asked about local food, she was very patient and genuinely shared her recommendations and locations.
Overall, the stay was a great experience. Thank you."

The second-floor patio features a tea set, koi fish, peacocks, and parrots, creating a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. The guesthouse rooms are well-equipped with all necessary facilities, including a full range of toiletries.

Datong Wangfu Zhizun Hotel definitely deserves five stars! The location is superb, close to the ancient city and convenient for getting around. The room was super spacious, clean, tidy, and the bedding was comfortable. The service was warm and attentive, and the front desk was efficient. The breakfast was plentiful, with local specialties like lamb offal soup and knife-cut noodles. Free underground parking was also very convenient. Overall, it offers great value for money. This is my top choice when visiting Datong!

The environment is great! The house is big and clean. It really exceeded the expectations of this trip. Traveling to Datong is cleaner than Datong City and is close to the expressway and scenic spots. It is very convenient to eat in residential areas. Xiao Wu at the front desk has a good service attitude and is clean and hygienic. , parking is free, will stay again next time
