"I would 100% recommend , the hospitality is beautiful . The host and her husband are so lovely and made me feel so welcome. I got an amazing room and feel very fortunate. I took a solo trip to aid my depression and the host gave me the warmest welcome and she makes incredible chai !!. The room was big and very comfortable. When I come to Edinburgh next time, I will 100% be staying here again . Although quite far from the city , it is in a perfect quiet location. A bus stop is close if you aren’t feeling like walking. Regardless my trip has been 10/10 🧚🧚"

"Good location in a quiet neighborhood, just a short walk from the tram station with direct access to both the city and the airport. We were able to drop off our luggage before check-in, which was very convenient. We were also upgraded to a room with a private internal bathroom, which was a nice surprise. Overall, a great and affordable option for a private stay in Edinburgh. Highly recommended for budget travelers."

"We had a delightful stay at Pillars House in Edinburgh. Host Craig was exceptionally friendly, proactively offering helpful information. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the location was convenient for exploring the city. Guests have access to a spacious kitchen, which was a great bonus. During our Christmas stay, we were pleasantly surprised with a gift from the hotel, adding a special touch to our holiday."

Allison House 17 is 1.5 mi south of Edinburgh Waverley Rail Station and the city center. The regular buses take about 10 minutes to reach the city center.
"It is about a 15-minute bus ride from the city center, so it may be inconvenient if you want to leave your luggage and go sightseeing. There are multiple bus routes, so waiting times were not particularly inconvenient. The hotel does not have a reception, and there is only one management staff member during the day, and after you are given your key at check-in, you are free to do as you please. I thought the hotel was suitable for a trip where you just want to stay. The room was old, but the fabric was clean and the bed was not too soft, but comfortable to sleep on. The shower door was not fitted to the correct size, so the shower water leaked into the toilet. We had to think about how to turn the shower so that it would not leak. The surrounding area is a high-class, quiet residential area, and if you take a walk in the spring flowers bloom, you can enjoy the gardens of each house."

"We had a great stay at Sakura Guest House. The location was perfect—close to everything we wanted to see and easy to get around. "The sanitation is really a bit poor. The door is a piece of paper. The other room is a piece of waste paper. The hot water is not stable. The parking space is a bit tight, but the surrounding area can also be parked. It feels that it will not be fined. It is still a little distance to enter the city. It is not possible to use a bus. It can be used in London, I don’t know what’s going on, so I walked into the city for half an hour. This location is a bit tasteless, the price is not cheap, the price is not high, there is a saying that the breakfast is delicious."
