GGuest UserI initially thought I was just paying for the elusive snowy mountain views and great photo opportunities. But I also got an incredibly lavish breakfast, super exquisite afternoon tea, and evening cocktails, the healing smile of the dog 🐶 Cola (they deserve extra chicken legs!), and the warm and polite service from the staff (all of the above were complimentary!). The hotel also offers room service, and the porcini mushroom fried rice was absolutely delicious 🤤. I'm highly recommending this to all my friends and family. The room can accommodate an extra bed, so it was very spacious for 2 adults and 2 children!

TTulip_jieThe room was very spacious and clean, with excellent facilities. On clear days, you can even see the snow-capped mountains from the hotel's public rooftop. They thoughtfully provided afternoon tea and warm milk every evening. They also offered shuttle services to Baisha Ancient Town, and the airport transfer service I booked was superb.

GGuest UserNestled north of Lijiang, at the foot of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, stands an old house that, after seven years of meticulous renovation by its owner, has been transformed into a luxury guesthouse. The owner personally carried bricks and tiles, while a design team from Tsinghua University's architecture department oversaw the project, embedding the Naxi people's understanding of beauty and the soul of their spiritual home into every crevice of the walls. No matter which window you open, you're greeted with a view of the ancient, majestic snow-capped mountain, as if it's been brought right into the lively space. The design and details within the rooms reflect the owner's thoughtful touch and aesthetic sense. The amenities are excellent, with underfloor heating in winter and cool breezes in summer, making it a perfect retreat year-round. Whether you're relaxing in your room, enjoying tea and a book, or venturing out for a horse ride or hike to Yuhu Lake for some fresh air and mushroom foraging in the woods, it's all about savoring slow living. The high-altitude winds effortlessly sweep away any urban worries you might have brought with you. At every turn, the designer has placed a soft, non-glaring light and many cleverly conceived details. The common areas are stocked with a wide selection of books, creating a sense of relaxation and peace in every corner. The assistant, a charming and kind woman who has traveled the world before returning to her hometown, is truly exceptional. Having worked for many years in natural ecological education at the UN, she's a favorite among children, offering a variety of engaging themed activities daily. The dining experience is also delightful; both breakfast and dinner are hearty, and the ingredients are fresh and safe, offering complete peace of mind. Come to this little corner of the world and see if you can find a place to call home and settle your soul. Seven years have turned a century-old house into this masterpiece. What will it look like in another hundred years? Perhaps the snow mountain will remain, while the human world will have long since changed.

GGuest UserLijiang is a well-established tourist destination, and its developed tourism industry has nurtured a hotel scene where most hotels in the same price range will likely score a solid, if unremarkable, passing grade. However, if you're seeking a truly discerning aesthetic experience, Baolin might be one of the rare, outstanding answers. Hotels under the snowy mountains often leverage window views, but after seeing so many, they tend to look alike, sometimes bordering on a tacky 'influencer' vibe. Just when I was overwhelmed and bored with the choices, I spotted Baolin, and it instantly clicked. I booked it without hesitation. We arrived at Yuhu Village in the evening, amidst a heavy rain. The entire ancient village was steeped in a lake-like blue, truly living up to its name! Our room was on the second floor, painted in a 'cosmic latte' shade, somewhere between beige and warm yellow. The wall near the main bed featured a subtly designed, elongated window, like a scroll painting, effortlessly transforming the serene lake blue outside into a private artwork hanging within the room. Seeing us drenched, the staff immediately brought two cups of hot ginger tea. And from that ginger tea onwards, everything we consumed at Baolin was delightfully delicious. The rainy weather brought on a lazy mood, so we stayed in and ordered stir-fried beef, 'water-loving' vegetables (水性杨花), stir-fried seasonal greens, golden pheasant flower omelet, and mint ribs, along with orange juice, matcha, hojicha, coffee, and affogato. My thumb was constantly up in approval when it came to the food! The owner is a true gourmand and managed to find two local chefs. These chefs are shy but extremely meticulous about their cooking. What I thought would be a simple stir-fried beef dish turned out to be incredibly thoughtful, featuring finely chopped large cilantro, tender chive roots, and fragrant wild coriander. Every ingredient was fresh from the local market, vibrant and exuding the wild charm of Yunnan. Stir-fried and blended in the heat, each component wholeheartedly contributed to making the meal exceptionally satisfying and just right! One evening, we went downstairs to sit by the fire and pet cats. During our chat, we learned the owner is *********. She rummaged through her storeroom and miraculously produced a bottle of Kinmen Kaoliang liquor. We drank it neat after freezing it. Who would have thought ********* liquor would be so perfectly suited to a rainy night on the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau? Each sip was crisp and clear, a whirlwind of wheat on the tongue, pushing the joy and comfort of our trip to its absolute peak. During my school days, I loved staying in B&Bs, seeking a sense of story, where the host's experiences, aesthetics, and taste would form the 'base spirit' of the B&B, overflowing with beauty to share with travelers. After starting work, I sought absolute comfort and a controlled social distance, relegating the expectation of stories to a hidden corner. So why does Baolin count as such a pleasant surprise? It's because the travel goals of both these life stages subtly found their answers here, beauty in harmony. The answer lies in a 'beauty' that withstands scrutiny and contemplation. The burst of joy and surprise upon encountering such beauty is universally shared.

SSessseseDuring national holidays, secluded B&Bs/hotels are usually my top choice. Although getting there can be a bit tricky, they generally offer fewer crowds and beautiful scenery. This May Day, I chose Taohua Wu for a two-night stay, and it was truly excellent. For friends who love grand mountains and waters but aren't keen on climbing, I give this accommodation a five-star recommendation. The rooms are luxurious and comfortable, fully equipped with everything you need. Toiletries are Acqua di Parma, and bathroom fixtures are Kohler. There's a small detail I really want to commend: the room's projector comes with a pre-paid membership! It's the first time I've encountered such thoughtful service! The hotel's cafe allows you to sip coffee while overlooking Jade Dragon Snow Mountain from a cliff, enjoying the stunning views all to yourself, without the risk of altitude sickness from climbing the mountain. The hotel grounds are very spacious; you can ride horses in the pasture, go boating, and in the evenings, there's a bonfire and ******* tea experience, among other activities. Although there aren't many staff members, they represent various ethnic groups. I learned a lot about different ethnic customs and interesting anecdotes from them. Everyone was incredibly observant, and it's the first time I've encountered staff who felt as warm and friendly as family! Whatever you needed, they were already getting the car started without a second thought – so reliable! The complimentary travel photoshoot was also fantastic; the two photographers were very skilled and there was absolutely no forced upselling. Most importantly, the hotel has three incredibly well-behaved cats (Mocha, Black Eight, and Li Kui) and two free-roaming dogs (Duoduo and Duole). Spending two days with them was pure joy. This hotel was the absolute highlight of my May Day trip!

HHenny P AdiHonestly, I rarely post reviews—but this time I really felt like I had to, because this hotel was the highlight of my family trip to Yunnan. From the moment we entered the hotel gate, we were already amazed. The place is even more beautiful in real life than in the photos. The staff member who communicated with us via WeChat was incredibly helpful—from arranging our transfer from the station to the hotel, to accommodating my dietary restrictions as a Muslim. They kindly prepared a special breakfast for us: rice noodles with egg, along with sweet potatoes, corn, and boiled eggs. What made it even more special was that everything was cooked by a very warm grandmother. Despite the language barrier, we could truly feel the warmth and love in her cooking. The cabin we booked was absolutely perfect. It had a spacious yard, a hot tub, and a terrace with a table and chairs—great for dining or simply spending time together with family. Stepping inside the cabin was even more impressive: a large bed, lots of natural light, and equipped with smart home devices. One important detail for us was the bathroom—it had a bidet and a fully smart toilet with remote control. Since the temperature in Lijiang varies greatly between day and night, we were very grateful that the cabin had both floor heating and room heating. The bedroom also featured a large projector, and above it, a sunroof that can be opened—perfect for stargazing at night. It truly exceeded all our expectations. The hotel area is also next to a very aesthetic café with a stunning view called Yuntian Cafe. For those traveling with family, this place is perfect—the area is spacious and great for kids to explore nature. If you want to go out for meals, Baisha Ancient Town is just a few kilometers away. What I will remember the most is the kindness of the staff. Everyone was incredibly helpful and friendly, always doing their best to accommodate every request. Please never change—your hospitality feels just like being with family. Next time we visit Lijiang, we will definitely stay here again without hesitation.

GGuest UserThis hotel's location is absolutely unbeatable! Situated right near Baisha Ancient Town and at the foot of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, it boasts a prime, front-row view of the mountain. With unspoiled agricultural land in front, the panoramic views are completely unobstructed. You can soak in the majestic snow-capped peaks right from your room, and even witness the breathtaking 'Golden Mountain in the Sunlight' spectacle from your bed. The ambiance and viewing experience were incredible, making this the most delightful stay of our Lijiang trip. The service was incredibly thoughtful and attentive. As we stayed for two nights, the hotel kindly arranged airport transfers, making everything seamless and stress-free. They also provided daily shuttle service to and from Baisha Ancient Town, which was super convenient for exploring and saved us the hassle of driving or finding taxis. Beyond that, the hotel offered immersive Naxi cultural experiences like tea pressing and 'Jiama' woodblock printing, which allowed us to truly delve into local customs and added so much richness and fun to our journey. The staff were consistently warm and attentive throughout our stay. They greeted us cheerfully, patiently recommended local specialty foods and off-the-beaten-path routes, and all their suggestions were incredibly useful. During downtime, they'd even invite guests to gather downstairs for tea and a chat. Their genuine and heartfelt approach made us feel completely at ease and welcome, as if we were visiting our own backyard. Their meticulous care and concern were evident in every interaction, truly making us feel at home. The guest rooms were spacious, and the amenities were comprehensive and well-equipped with everything you could need, ensuring a very comfortable stay. The combination of the unparalleled scenic views and outstanding soft and hard services far exceeded our expectations. Whether you're looking for a relaxing vacation or an immersive Lijiang experience, I highly recommend it. This will definitely be my top choice for accommodation on my next visit to Lijiang!

GGuest UserThe full mountain view room was simply divine! Our room featured floor-to-ceiling windows, allowing us to lie in bed and watch the clouds drift lazily across the mountaintops, with every breath infused with the fresh scent of pine. The windows framed the mountain views like a living wallpaper; by day, it was a vibrant green tapestry, and in the evenings, the peaks were bathed in stunning orange and pink hues. Every casual photo looked like a cinematic screenshot. The ”Golden Mountain at Sunrise” (日照金山) viewed from the rooftop was an absolutely unforgettable, breathtaking spectacle. Watching the snow-capped peaks slowly transform from steely grey to shimmering gold, with the first rays of light touching my face, it felt as if even the wind held its breath. This sheer, majestic grandeur is a moment no filter could ever hope to capture. The evening bonfire party truly embodied the most vibrant and authentic local atmosphere. As dusk settled, the bonfire by the entrance sprang to life. Naxi aunties led everyone in traditional 'datiao' dances, the firewood crackled merrily, and songs mixed with laughter echoed up the hillside. We drank local rice wine and joined the circle, feeling the day's serene tranquility transition seamlessly into the lively energy of the night. From the 'Golden Mountain' at dawn to the late-night bonfire, from the stunning mountain views from our room to the fresh scent of flora and fauna with every breath, this place perfectly blends the refined elegance of 'French-inspired rustic luxury' with the genuine, untouched spirit of Lijiang's wilderness. It creates a compelling reason to want to return and stay here again and again. Next time I visit Lijiang, I'll definitely be staying here again!

CChitrlada HarnWhen my mother agreed to visit Lijiang with me, I browsed many hotels in Trip.com and sorted out this hotel out of many hotels with good reviews without knowing beforehanded that this will fulfill my satisfaction to the most. Before we got there, I contacted the hotel if it is comfortable for my mom to stay there because she is 88 years old and need to use wheelchair. After that they made up a wechat group to facilitate us. The staff who took care of us , xiao juan , helped us with the trip plan, escorted us to the ancient town of Dayan and Shuhe ,lead us to understand the town of Baisha and helped us with everything we need. She shows her emphaty to people with everthing she does. All the staffs there are young , polite and friendly. The location of the hotel is very suitable for exploring the ancient town of Baisha. The view of the snow mountain can be seen from the inner garden and more clearly from the third floor of the hotel. The room is comfortable with good quality bedsheet , blanket , towels and the heating floor. The breakfast is adequate with a set of chinese small dishes together with a choice of boiled rice or noodles. They provide free coffee all day with daily afternoon tea set and late night sweet soup and plum wine. I feel like I have nothing to ask more and wish to express my gratitude to all the staffs here. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to all who need to receive impressive service from these lovely staffs.
