Amazing. That’s the word that stayed with me after our time at Nguluko/Yuhu. What makes this guesthouse so unique isn’t just the elegant blend of Naxi tradition and modern design—it’s how that blend is alive and creates a very special experience! The owners still live in the original old house, with its untouched courtyard, while the guest rooms are in a beautifully designed, upscale brand new building. That mix of living heritage and quiet, five-star luxury is rare—and deeply touching. And then there’s the view. Looking out across the rooftops of Yuhu village to the majesty of Yulong Xueshan… it’s something I’ll never forget. I can highly recommend this place for anyone who looks for a very special rural experience with top comfort in a most beautiful surroundings.

Manxiwan now holds a special place in my heart. This place deserves more than just five stars. As frequent travelers, we know how hard it is to find a place that truly offers a great stay, and Manxiwan exceeded all our expectations. Our standards for Airbnb stays have been raised once again, thanks to this experience. The service is top-notch — the owners are incredibly welcoming and accommodating, always making sure you’re well taken care of. The ambiance is amazing, and they’ve thoughtfully prepared everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. A bonus: everything they provide is of high quality. I didn’t even need to use my own Dyson hairdryer because they already had one available. The bathrooms, showers, and bathtub are spotlessly clean and properly disinfected. They even installed a heater in the shower room, so you won’t freeze while bathing. The amenities are impressive: there’s a Marshall speaker, a projector with an automatic white screen, and voice-controlled curtains — just say “你好，小乐，开/关窗帘” and the curtains will open or close without needing to find a switch. The view outside the window is absolutely breathtaking — one of the most beautiful sights I’ve ever seen. Another plus: the place is so photogenic that you can take tons of amazing pictures without even stepping outside. If you need anything, don’t hesitate to ask — the hosts go above and beyond to help. They also offer car rental services at reasonable prices, making it easy to explore the area. The food is delicious too — I especially loved the 米线 (rice noodles)! One evening when we returned late, they still welcomed us warmly, asked about our day, and even offered us some warm soup. Their kindness and hospitality truly stood out. I highly, highly recommend this place — you won’t be disappointed. I’ll definitely be coming back. Thank you, Manxiwan!

We stayed in Stone Lodge for 3 nights in the middle of December. Let us talk about the good things first. 1. Snow Mountain View rooms can see 日照金山from bed. 2. Location is good for going to snow mountain. It takes around 20min to reach visitor centre of snow mountain. 3. Service is very good. U can ask for anything and they will provide for example bubble wrap to pack our fragile shopping. There’s also free laundry service. 4. Good for those who like the activities included in the room package. We did the Naxi home visit, horse riding and art and craft diy and enjoyed them very much. We like the afternoon tea provided too. And we can have coffee and fruits as much as we want. Now some points to note. 1. Room is a bit small for 3 of us. The toilet is like a shower cubicle that opens into the room. We only discovered the ventilation switch im the middle of the stay and was wondering why the cubicle is so stuffy, not to mention the smell. With the ventilation on, the problems are solved. The shower cubicle is opposite with the sink in between them. All open into the room with no partition around the bathroom area. The walls of the toilet and shower cubicles are frosted glass and is acceptable for me and my daughters, all ladies. 2. The village is very small. Not much to see. We went to a cafe popular on internet that can take photo on the roof with the snow mountain in the background. The drinks are ok but the pasta is not nice. Maybe that’s why this restaurant is not in the recommended list of the hotel. We did not explore the village much but from what I see, it’s just 1 short street. 3. Ask for a 3rd floor room. It has a sky roof over the bed and we can see stars when we turn off all the lights in the room. Overall, we did not regret our decision to stay here in the Stone Lodge. If the activities were not included in the package, we would not have experienced them at all.

Beautiful place to stay! It’s located in Yuhu Village, personally I feel this village is the most prettiest village in Lijiang. It’s also very exclusive because you need to be confirmed to be able to enter the village. It’s perfect for those who like peaceful village. There are some shops and restaurants, not too many, they are still building them, but the good thing is it is clean and not too crowded. Pauline itself is magnificent! From the room to the front desk. Room is clean, spacious, and modern! Not to mention the mountain view from the balcony. The front desk people are super helpful. They help with luggages, laundry and all my needs! I would definetely come back to stay here when I’m in Lijiang. Lastly, don’t worry, easy to grab Didi to take you anywhere. Also, the rooftop coffee shop is very scenic and close!

Have a very pleasant stay here for 2 nights. The room was clean, comfortable and well maintained with all the amenities provided. Staff were very helpful and friendly. They even provided us free laundry service which is hardly find in other hotel. Furthermore, they gave us tea as complementary gift before we check out too 😊 Hotel provided free breakfast and tea session and hot milk at night too. Free transport to 白沙古镇 is available as well as free pickup/drop off to airport. The location is very convenient if you were travelling to 玉龙雪山 which is less than 30 minutes drive. The environment was quiet and suitable for good rest after a long day of travel. I would definitely recommend it to travelers and would consider staying here again on my next visit.

Owner Jason and his team were very hospitable and knowledgeable. He has worked in Singapore and it was easy to communicate with him in English giving this place a little taste of home. Our room was amazing and the backyard with the hobbit houses were fun to explore. They have a great view of Yulong Snow Mountain. The pets were friendly too!

Stayed 3 nights here to experience the chill country life. We did mushroom foraging, horse riding which were super fun! We also had a DIY activity where we made some decorative pieces. The staffs are young energetic people who are welcoming and friendly. There’s a border collie & golden retriever puppy owned by the staff members and seeing them running around the ranch was simply therapeutic. The staffs ferried us all around to and fro everywhere within the ranch, to Yulong snow mountain, to their roof top cafes. We needed to taxi back to the ranch from Yulong snow mountain, if you are using Didi just be aware that the didi preset location is wrong, might want to pin drop (?) There is also a one way service to the old town/ train station once a day. At night, there’s bonfire party under the starry skies. Tibetan tea making was entertaining as well Highly recommend for a break from city life!

Beautiful hotel view & good service from hotel staff. We had a great time. Near Yundian Cafe. Can take pictures at the cafe. The view is stunning.

Lijiang Wangshan Snow Mountain Sunrise Golden Mountain B&B is truly a hidden gem, offering an unparalleled view! The rooms offer unobstructed views of the snow-capped mountains, perfect for capturing stunning photos of the sunrise over the peaks or the sunset. Enjoying tea with friends on the platform while gazing at the snow-capped mountains creates a truly immersive atmosphere. The room facilities are brand new, featuring smart curtains and a separate shower and toilet – the attention to detail is impeccable. The breakfast and afternoon tea are incredibly generous, and there's even a BBQ buffet in the evening. You could practically relax all day without leaving the hotel! The complimentary laundry service is a wonderful touch. The butler service is superb; they respond instantly to any questions and even arranged airport pickup, saving you a lot of trouble. The surrounding area is quiet and peaceful, with authentic Naxi cuisine within walking distance. The entire stay was incredibly comfortable, and I've already recommended it to everyone planning a trip to Lijiang!

Lovely hotel with afternoon tea & dessert for supper. Nice view of sunrise & walkable distance to Baisha Ancient Town. Delicious breakfast & cosy place.
