The location of the B&B is very good. The room layout has a strong Western style and is very clean. The paintings in the corridor are said to be the graffiti works of the proprietress herself, but the colors and composition are very beautiful. It is a few hundred meters away from the century-old teahouse, and it is very convenient to go out. I came back in the afternoon just in time for the princess' wedding program. The place where I stayed was just the starting point, and I had an immersive experience. The proprietress is very enthusiastic and cooks good dishes. The price is very affordable. She is really good at both the living room and the kitchen. It must be praised. I will stay here next time.

Poet Song is an amazing place!
Location: Very convenient. Short 10 minute Didi taxi ride (10rmb) to the ancient city. Or can take bus (2 RMB) 15mins. From Airport Didi 15 mins (20 RMB).
Room: The room is clean, with fast wifi, very cool aircon, smart lights and curtains. Has all the amenities you need: kettle, great hairdryer and each day will have basic room cleaning and you get new toiletries and bottled water.
Besides the comfort of the room, what makes this place really great are the staff. From the moment you arrive, they come out to greet you, take you into their cozy reception room and check you in while enjoying fruits and/or Xinjiang nut snacks. Not all staff spoke English but any translation app will do and they all are so willing to help. They gave very valuable advice of places to visit so ask them any questions! The owner can speak English and I'm sure you will get to meet him as he is very hands on and around everyday to make sure all his guests are taken care of and enjoying their stay. He is a great guy and I believe is the real reason what makes this hotel so good!
When I come back to Kashi/Kashgar, no hesitation I will definitely stay at this hotel. Highly recommend!!!
Oh there are also three adorable cats!

A very good travel experience. I just made a reservation on my mobile phone and went to the store. Then the lady at the front desk said that I would need to wait a few minutes for the aunt to clean it up. As a result, it was packed as soon as I sat on the chair. The lady at the front desk also thoughtfully arranged it for me. After getting into the elevator, I ordered a takeaway and the robot delivered it to my door. I didn’t hear the bell, so my aunt knocked on my door very thoughtfully. I took the train at three o'clock in the evening, and I was in a hurry when I went out and forgot to take the charger. The lady at the front desk asked the security uncle to send me to the station. I just caught up and the service was really great! ! !

I booked via Trip.com — It was out of expectations!Close to Kashi Airport, feels like a 5-star stay at a lower price. The hotel is neat and clean with no cigarette smell. I highly recommend this hotel for international travelers, probably you may need translator app if you don't mind.
[Photo]: Spotted a robot delivering takeout while I was working — fun to hear the way she talked!
Service:
Outstanding. Polite and responsive staff. The most satisfying hotel service and best features I experienced while traveling in Xinjiang.
Location:
Free airport shuttle (with booking). Taxi to the city or Old Town costs under CNY 10. It is easy and cheap to move around.
A convenience store and Muslim restaurant with veggie dishes are just steps away.
Environment:
Spacious, quiet, with parking and a small garden.
Amenities:
All that a solo traveler needs.
Automatic heated toilet seat is an extra.
Voice control for the room (Chinese only) was impressive.
I liked the bathroom layout, with anti-slip tiles idea and a separate basin area.
Free laundry (washer + dryer).
Cozy lobby bar (working station) with coffee, milk tea, and soy milk provided. I saw a printer free to use too..
Personal downsides:
I can't find the hotel by the name ”Oriental hotel” (translated by trip.com). At the end, i figured out the name should be GreenTree Eastern Hotel
(Kashgar Airport Branch) as in Didi.
No fridge in the room, I couldn’t store fruits and cold drinks during my 4-night summer stay.
Suggestions:
- Add labels to breakfast dishes to avoid waste
- English signs would be an extra help
- There was once the locals talk loudly at night near the rooms — a reminder sign could help.

This hotel is great! It’s in a great area. The staff are friendly and provide awesome service! They even offered to do my laundry for me free of charge even though the laundry facility is set up as a 24 hour self service facility. I really appreciated that because I was busy on the day I checked in and would’ve had to do my laundry late at night if they were not willing to do this. I stayed here for one night and did not have any clean clothes for the next day.
The rooms are clean. I booked a non smoking room and was provided me without any issues. The room was also on a non smoking floor. The public areas of the hotel that I was in did not smell like cigarette smoke like many of them do in China. I have stayed at many hotels in China and even though I have booked non smoking rooms online for all of the hotels I stayed at, I did not receive one many times as those hotels didn’t have any, which I was not happy with.
The only recommendation I have for this hotel is to prohibit smoking entirely and strongly enforce it with consequences for guests if they haven’t done so yet. This would include all of their guest rooms. This would improve the overall guest experience, especially for non smokers. This is becoming more common in the hotel industry and would make the hotel more attractive to book than hotels in the area that allow smoking.

Guest UserThe hotel is about 25 minutes from the airport. After making a reservation in advance, the clerk contacted me to understand my hotel needs, which was very heart-warming. The location of the hotel is easy to find. After renting a car, you can follow the navigation to the hotel. Parking is free. The surrounding area is very new. There are restaurants and shops which are very convenient. The hotel is newly opened. The decoration style is very unique and novel. It starts as soon as you enter the gate. I couldn’t stop taking photos of all kinds, and the children also liked it very much. Manager Zhang’s service was very good. Knowing that I was bringing children, he specially arranged a parent-child room for me to experience. Thank you very much. The decoration style of the room is very simple and there is no peculiar smell. Extra slippers and toothbrushes are provided for the children. The quality is also very good. There is a gym and laundry room on the 3rd floor, which is really complete. I also went to experience the buffet breakfast in the morning. The time is from 8 to 11 o'clock. I didn't expect that it was still dark at 8 o'clock. The breakfast is buffet. Although the place is not big, it is rich enough. The snacks and dishes are very good. Well, there are also special plates for children. In short, the experience is very good, the current stay is also very cost-effective, and the photos are particularly good. I will choose this place again if I have the chance and recommend it to other friends who need to stay here.

TaotaoExcellent location, right next to Kashgar's commercial pedestrian street, offering a quiet retreat despite being in a bustling area. The service was attentive and thoughtful; the front desk staff was very helpful, answering all our questions, arranging parking, and proactively asking about our specific needs since we were traveling with a child. The hotel also offers traditional ethnic costumes for rent, which is a nice touch and very convenient. Plus, they provide free airport shuttle service, perfectly solving all our travel and accommodation needs. Highly recommended!

LaowantongbuyiOn my trip to Kashgar this time, I absolutely have to praise the Guilai Inn in the western district of Kashgar Old City.
We arrived in Kashgar on the morning of July 6th and were about to embark on a three-day, two-night journey to the Pamir Plateau right after getting off the bus. On July 5th, before we left, I called the proprietress to ask if we could temporarily store our luggage. She was incredibly enthusiastic and immediately agreed. She also meticulously explained all the attractions along the China-Pakistan Friendship Highway, introducing White Sand Lake, Khunjerab Pass, Panlong Ancient Road, and Bandir Lake in detail.
After completing the plateau loop and checking into the inn, the proprietress specially arranged a quiet room for us. Afterward, she introduced us to the attractions along the 'Extreme West' one-day tour. When I returned from the 'Extreme West' tour, I chatted with the proprietress and she learned that we would be leaving Kashgar early the next morning. She not only enlightened us with the humanistic stories of Kashgar Old City but, fearing I wouldn't be familiar with it on my own, personally took me on a tour through the old city streets.
The inn is right next to a lively food street, bustling with lights, yet it's very quiet inside. It's very convenient to walk to the mosque and the main gate of the Old City. The transportation is extremely convenient, making it easy for tour agency drivers to pick us up and drop us off. For accommodation in Kashgar, the western district of the Old City is the top choice. Its rich local atmosphere and the innkeeper's warm service make every aspect incredibly comfortable.

Overall, quite a decent stay. You really can’t beat the location. It’s just a stone’s throw away from the main entrance to this side of old city. The balcony overlooks the main street and I loved sitting there and taking in the sounds and smells. The building itself is a bit older and it shows. The table in my room was a bit dirty and aged, and there was an ashtray which suggests smoking can be allowed in the room for prior guests, but thankfully there was no cigarette smell in my room. Unfortunately, there were a few setbacks. The bathroom shower did not drain well and after 5 minutes water would start flooding out of the shower room to the hallway. There are two washers in a lower room but they were both occupied with sheets that were just sitting there and had not been put through the wash cycle yet. It seemed like the hotel uses these as their main washer for their linens. When I was checking in, the front desk person seemed confused if I had a reservation but that’s about as much as I could figure out with the language barrier. My trip.com reservation said I have a late checkout of 4pm but they came to my room around 2:45pm and said I was supposed to check out at 2pm. Thankfully I had everything packed up and said I could leave at 3pm. No one came to my room to clean so my trashcan was full. You can hear everything on the street which wasn’t a big problem to me, sort of white noise drowned out by the second day. However, the second day there was a new group of tourists that arrived and spent a lot of time on the balcony (as they should) but their noise was very audible and quite annoying. You could also easily hear people going up and down the stairs and in adjacent rooms.

I had originally booked another hotel for my 10 day stay in Kashgar but my intrigue with the historical background that's behind the Seman Hotel made me switch hotels.
Admittedly I was a little disappointed upon my arrival when I realized the Rezen brand had decided to choose a modern approach with their recent renovations. But in the end it was fine; the hotel's rooms are very comfortable, in excellent state with outstanding beds, good sound isolation and very good amenities. The shower has a great pressure and the rooms are warm and refreshing in the cold winter.
The location is okay, walking distance to the old town, Uyghur restaurants and a mall.
The receptionists are outstanding and have a wonderful service mind. We had a small issue with housekeeping halfway our stay but the problem got resolved with exactly the kind of attitude you would expect from a 4 star hotel.
All in all for the low off season price we paid it was an outstanding value and a true pleasure to stay at the Rezen Seman Hotel in Kashgar. I would highly recommend this hotel and dont let the slightly shabby look of the outside of the hotel make you change your mind as from the inside the hotel is modern, clean, well decorated and comfortable.
Thank you all for a great stay during our 10 days in Kashgar.
