This hotel really embodies the feeling of prosperity, being incredibly generous with the details. For instance, they have daily fireworks, and many public areas offer complimentary sparkling water, lemon tea, and fruit. Every group of guests also receives a welcome ceremony and detailed guidance before check-in. These details are time-consuming, labor-intensive, and costly, but they significantly contribute to creating a relaxing holiday atmosphere. I don't think any other hotel in China, not even the Amane resorts I've stayed at, can match this level of service. The hotel's standout feature is its landscape. While Guangxi is known for its karst topography, the hotel's views are exceptionally curated. The strict management, which prevents non-guests from entering, is also a plus. The activities, such as the Detian Tea House and the bamboo raft afternoon tea, offer a great experience and have a distinctive local flavor. They've also developed several specialty restaurants, and the main restaurant's food is quite good. The service at the hotel is excellent. The butler truly shines, proactively reminding guests of activities, coordinating schedules, and effectively resolving any issues guests might have. Doris, in particular, was warm and professional, very approachable, and even gave us a doll as a parting gift – thank you! Overall, the hotel's hardware, including its location, design, and landscape, is outstanding, and its operational aspects (service, activities, and attention to detail) are truly exceptional.

I booked this guesthouse last minute and it exceeded my expectations. It's a quiet little place tucked away in a bustling area. The location is right at the entrance of Shuolong Street. Across the river is Vietnam, and the border crossing is to the left. They have their own parking area, which is very convenient. Our triple room was on the fifth floor. There's an elevator, which is great for the elderly. The views are expansive. The room has wooden tables and chairs, which adds a nice touch. The food was also delicious. It's a charming little spot with a lot of character.

1. Amazing hospitality. The hotel owner, Shaowei was there to help us in every possible way. She brought us to see the panoramic view of Mingshi Tianyuan with her own expenses. She also took us to another place to watch native people’s dance, sing and bonfire after dinner. She also helped me to catch a local bus to another town. Her kindness was simply beyond my expectations. If I come back to Mingshi, the reason will be not the town itself, but Shaowei. 2. Flawless cleanness Everything looked to be built just now. Clean, comfortable and tidy. No smell of cigarette or whatsoever. 3. Decent breakfast Breakfast is simple but the taste is good. You can enjoy rice noodle, rice porridge and fruits with good tea and soy milk. 4. Great location The hotel is located close to the bus station and you can get on any local bus passing by easily. Good restaurants are everywhere nearby as well. Thank you so much for all the help and care. I really wish to meet you again.

Shanyao Xiaozhu Guesthouse may sound unassuming, but stepping into the rooms is a pleasant surprise. First, the cleanliness is impeccable; the beds and rooms are spotless, comparable to a five-star hotel. Second, the service is excellent. The owner is very welcoming and responsive to any questions. When we couldn't find Yushui Dam while driving there, he kindly suggested we call him – a truly kind gesture. The guesthouse is conveniently located near the scenic area entrance, easy to find, and very quiet at night. It even has an elevator, which is rare for a guesthouse. The rooms are particularly noteworthy – each one is large and spacious, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering stunning views of the scenic area. I couldn't resist taking several photos. The curtains are automatic, the toilet is a smart toilet, and the bedding is excellent. There's also a table, two chairs, and high-quality toiletries, a hairdryer, and slippers. Having traveled extensively and stayed in various hotels of all levels and star ratings, I feel that Shanyao Xiaozhu Guesthouse offers a five-star experience at an economy price. All 14 of us in our group were extremely satisfied.

Location of hotel is very convenient for travelers who take the tourist bus from either Chungzuo, Nanning or from Detian waterfalls scenic area. The room we booked had a nice view of the fields and karst mountains. What a beautiful sight to behold indeed. During the day, it can get noisy with all the comings and goings in the village and all around but at night, it was very quiet. The rooftop terrace was very nice and not busy when we were there. Breakfast was enjoyable with steamed buns, corn, soup noodles and boiled sweet potatoes- a healthy start for a very busy day. The very nice lady in charge of breakfast offered us breakfast on our check in day (we arrived at 10:30) and made sure we had enough to eat before sending us off to explore! We had never met a B&B operator who was so caring and generous. On our check out day, even though she was still busy with guests, she rushed out to bid us a fond farewell and a safe onward trip. Front desk and cleaning team were all very friendly, always smiling and helpful. All in all, a very warm and pleasant stay at Mingshi Scenic Area.

The hotel's location is excellent, and they offer free bicycles, which is great for exploring the Mingshi Pastoral Complex. The scenery within the complex is indeed much better than outside, with a wonderful layered and expansive feel. I heard you even have to buy a ticket to enter if you're not staying at the hotel. The breakfast restaurant also has great views, and the breakfast selection is rich and delicious. The rooms are a bit old-fashioned, but the air conditioning, bedding, and other amenities are all good.

The hotel is right next to the fish scale dam, the location is very good, it used to take a minute or two, and the scenery outside the window is also very good. If it is more convenient to drive by car, because we are not driving by car, it is very inconvenient to go to the visitor center to eat by car. The original boss said that it can be delivered for free. The next morning, the aunt asked us to charge 5-15 yuan to send it to the visitor center by car. There are no restaurants nearby, there are stains on the sheets of the room that cannot be washed off, the pillows are a bit smelly, and the sound is generally soundproof.

The area is beautiful. The tent and tent area are very nice. My kids loved it! The receptionist Li Lin 李霖 and the rest of the team are very nice and helpful. Beds are comfortable. The pillow was too high for me, but my husband didn’t complain. If you are light and sound sensitive when sleeping, then bring earplugs and sleeping eye mask, because is a tent, of course. The tent I booked was very comfortable in size for two adults and two kids. It had two queen beds and one single bed. There is tv and amenities (shampoo&Co, toothbrush, shaving kit, hair dryer). Breakfast was Chinese style buffet, which we are happy with. The restaurant belongs to another hotel in the same area (there are several hotels in that park). You can order bbq set. Nice quality meat and veggies. I would recommend this camping area for any family with kids. There is a playground area as well and is nice to walk through the trees.

Stay here! You can stay at the park gate. Drive up to it at night. Sleep here. He’ll go get your tickets in the morning for you and then you can be in the park at 8:30. You’ll arrive right as the people who have to bus in arrive but if you’re not in a group you can get ahead of everyone and enjoy the park and be on your way around noon

The room facilities, though a bit dated, were very well-maintained and clean, showing the hotel's dedication. The hotel is located near the Guichun River within the scenic area, offering views of the Vietnamese people across the river, though the barbed wire fence is a bit of a letdown. However, the hotel's garden restaurant is an absolute disaster—the food is unappetizing and truly awful. I'd recommend eating before you check in or returning to the hotel to rest after you've had a meal elsewhere.
