"I booked this hotel without hesitation solely for the bunk beds with a slide, despite seeing many negative or mixed reviews on Xiaohongshu. To be honest, this phenomenon of villages being densely packed with guesthouses is common in places like Zhoushan too, and as long as there's no noise, I'm perfectly fine with it. The hotel breakfast is very generous; usually, sharing just two portions is enough for an entire family. They also offer different snacks every evening. Renting an electric scooter from the entrance is convenient, and the bicycles provided by the hotel are free. I contacted the concierge in advance to mention my child's birthday, and they kindly provided a complimentary 4-inch cake on the day. So sweet! 🎂"

"This was the most worthwhile night of our trip, with excellent service, facilities, and amenities. First, let me mention the only downside, which is unavoidable: the hotel is located in front of a scenic area, so before entering the hotel, the surroundings can feel a bit chaotic and disorganized. This was the least pleasant part of the experience. Now for the many positives: you need a key card to enter the hotel, and once inside, it's very quiet and tranquil. Every staff member we encountered was incredibly friendly and greeted us proactively. The swimming pool on the fourth floor was very comfortable; we took advantage of the fewer crowds to swim several laps, which felt great. There's also a children's play area, which I didn't go into but looked good. The hotel provided an afternoon tea that day, and the snacks were quite good, just a little sweet. All the juices here are undiluted, which I thought was fantastic – the cucumber pear and Hami melon juices were particularly delicious. Dinner was also on the fourth floor, and it was delicious and great value for money. I highly recommend the crispy roasted chicken, and the Zhuang-style perilla noodles were absolutely amazing! The stir-fried eggs with false aralia leaves were also incredibly tender! The corn porridge at breakfast was exceptionally well-made; they really paid attention to all the details. Finally, after we checked out, we received a follow-up call asking for suggestions for improvement. I suggested making the laundry room and tea room signs more prominent. I think this follow-up call was a huge plus; it shows they listen to feedback to improve, which is highly commendable."

"The overall stay experience is very disappointing, it is not recommended to stay in this room type, ~ simply boasts a few advantages: the breakfast powder tastes good, the room mattress is moderately hard and soft, the sleep is OK, there will be small gifts when checking out. Several issues that affect the experience: 1. The cold water pressure of the sink faucet is seriously insufficient, and the water will make a ”pop” like a gun. The noise is very loud, the water speed is very slow, and the sense of use is very poor. 2. Booked one of the highest priced room types in the hotel, the door of the room is completely unobstructed. Everyone who goes to the pool will pass by the door of the room. The room and the leisure area are very close, almost zero distance. It is said that the pool light will be turned off at 10 o'clock in the evening, but many children are still playing in the pool until 11 o'clock, the noise continues, there is no way to rest quietly. 3. Seeing many reviews, the hotel service is positive and will take the initiative to help carry luggage. Our car parked directly at the main entrance, and the two front desks saw it and did not take the initiative to come forward. Please help the front desk to carry the luggage, but ask us if we have large luggage, the service attitude is very speechless. Spend a high price to stay but exchange for a very poor rest environment and service, the price is very low, will not come again (originally booked for three days, one day in advance)"

"The room is beautiful, new, and spacious, with a laundry room. It's in the main building and recently renovated. I hope the breakfast can be improved; otherwise, I don't mind not ordering breakfast, as the beef brisket noodles outside are delicious and cheap."

"The rice field view is great, Ming Shi Tian Yuan is a guesthouse worth staying at. Upon arrival, someone greeted us and actively helped with our luggage; the service was excellent. The room was clean and tidy, with complimentary welcome fruits, and the window opened to a beautiful rice field view. The facilities are complete, and the swimming pool downstairs is very convenient. We reported issues with the air conditioner vent noise and a dripping faucet during check-in, and the owner took them very seriously with a genuinely sincere attitude. They offered free bicycle rentals and complimentary drinks from the rice fields, but unfortunately, it was too hot, and we didn't get a chance to use them. Compared to other guesthouses in the same price range, the overall experience was excellent. It's a top choice for a relaxing vacation, and I would consider staying here again if I come back."

"The B&B is in a great location, right within Mingshi Garden. There are many picturesque spots nearby for photoshoots, and I saw a lot of people taking artistic photos here. Parking is convenient, and right outside there are several restaurants serving a mix of local and Vietnamese cuisine, which tasted pretty good. The B&B has an elevator, and it's kept very clean. The bedding is comparable to a five-star hotel, and the toiletries are all excellent, well-known international brands. The room view is fantastic, offering an expansive panorama of the fields and distant mountains. My room type even came with a fridge stocked with cold drinks – on a hot day, cracking open an iced cola was incredibly refreshing. Breakfast included freshly made rice noodles, which were quite tasty, as well as milk, eggs, congee, 'malao gao' (Cantonese sponge cake), and sweet potatoes, offering a nutritious start to the day."

"Facilities: The hotel is newly opened, but there was no unpleasant smell. All equipment was brand new and complete, and the appliances and toiletries were in excellent condition. Cleanliness: Cleanliness was impeccable. The room was spotless, and the bedding was soft and clean. Environment: The overall environment was quiet and elegant, with a comfortable and sophisticated decor. The public areas were clean and refreshing, creating a great atmosphere. Service: The service was the biggest plus. The owner was warm, polite, responsive, and attentive. They even brought fruit before bedtime – so delightful! Overall, I was extremely satisfied with my stay and would definitely choose this hotel again next time. Highly recommended!"

"The interior design of this guesthouse is really high-class, feeling warm, comfortable, and spacious. A lot of effort clearly went into selecting the items, especially the bedding, which was just the right balance of soft and firm. Even for someone like me who usually struggles to sleep well away from home, I had a fantastic night's sleep. In terms of service, this guesthouse truly lives up to its name – 'hometown,' giving you that warm, homey feeling. The owners and their friends/family are incredibly welcoming and generous, always ready to help. They assisted us with our luggage and even brought us welcome fruits and ginger tea. And the food at the guesthouse is absolutely, incredibly delicious! Especially the roast suckling pig, roast chicken, asparagus, and the small zongzi (rice dumplings) for breakfast – it’s that authentic, humble farm-style taste, truly amazing! The owners also invited us to chat and have a drink together, making for a wonderfully pleasant evening. We truly experienced the simple warmth and hospitality here, making it a beautiful memory of our trip to Chongzuo. If we ever come back to Chongzuo, we will definitely book this guesthouse again!"

"I stayed at Mingshi Yaju in room 8202 on July 10th, and then at Zaiye Starlight Rainforest on the 11th. While the latter was one-third more expensive, the overall experience at Mingshi Yaju was definitely superior. It was the rainy season, and the Black River had high water levels, but the entire Mingshi countryside was breathtakingly beautiful in the mist and rain. The continuous karst peaks surrounding the emerald green fields were refreshing and therapeutic, and it didn't affect our sightseeing at all. The Torch Festival was the biggest surprise of the entire trip. The event lasted a full two hours, and the atmosphere was incredible from start to finish, far exceeding our expectations. The performers, both young men and women, were exceptionally energetic and dedicated, showcasing various torch tricks one after another. As they swung the torches, sparks flew everywhere, and the firelight reflecting on the mountains and water created an amazing ambiance. High-difficulty acts like fire-breathing, torch spinning, and acrobatic juggling were thrilling and spectacular, with a strong visual impact. I watched wide-eyed the whole time, and every performance segment was simply astonishing. My 15-year-old son had just finished his junior high school exams, so I specifically brought him along to relax and unwind. He's usually shy and introverted and rarely participates in such group activities. It was the first time I saw him completely let loose, actively joining the crowd in torch parades and dancing around the bonfire. He was smiling and having a fantastic time throughout. This immersive Zhuang ethnic folk activity truly healed his tense mind after preparing for exams. Our stay also included a complimentary boat tour of the countryside. Tea and snacks on the boat were all free. The boatman told us that a single bamboo raft ride outside the scenic area costs 130 RMB per person, so being able to experience it for free as a guest was excellent value for money. The details when checking out truly surprised me: we received a complimentary souvenir – a set of postcards and local Mingshi countryside rice. Other guests were checking out at the same time, and I was already in the parking lot, ready to leave. A staff member from the hotel specifically drove after me to insist on handing me the souvenir and even thoughtfully wished me a safe journey. This level of dedication was incredibly touching. However, what impressed me most on this trip was the overall quality of all the staff at the guesthouse. Nowadays, hotel service often feels mechanical and standardized, but the employees at Mingshi Yaju had a sparkle in their eyes, exuding a sense of happiness. They weren't perfunctory in their interactions and consistently provided ample emotional value throughout our stay. I distinctly remember on the afternoon of the 10th, around 4 PM, when it started raining, a friendly lady with a ponytail chatted with me for quite a while. She was very approachable, gentle, and attentive, repeatedly reminding me about safety precautions for rainy day outings, which was very heartwarming. During our casual chat, two staff members learned that my next stop was Zaiye Starlight Rainforest. Their broad-mindedness was commendable: they objectively highlighted their own advantages while generously acknowledging the merits of their competitor. They didn't boast about themselves or disparage others, and even proactively shared local specialties and helped plan our itinerary. Their overall caliber was truly rare. That said, Mingshi Yaju does have areas for improvement: compared to Zaiye Starlight Rainforest, their afternoon tea experience was outstanding, and their breakfast selection was rich and comprehensive, offering Guilin rice noodles, Luosifen, and Laoyoufen. Mingshi Yaju's breakfast lacked authentic local noodle dishes, indicating room for improvement in their dining options. One small suggestion: since the guesthouse has access to boat resources, it would be wonderful if they could offer lunch and dinner packages on the boat. Imagine enjoying local specialty dishes on a boat while cruising amidst the mountains and water – the experience would be even more spectacular. Despite the minor flaws in the dining, the overall experience was excellent, with fantastic scenery, unique activities, and top-notch staff service. Comparing the two, if I ever return to Chongzuo, I will definitely choose to stay at Mingshi Yaju again."
