Amazing
CCookEmI recently stayed at Abode Belconnen and honestly couldn’t fault a single thing – it was a perfect 10/10 experience. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed, not just as guests but as pet parents. Finding a truly dog-friendly hotel that still feels modern, clean, and a little bit luxurious is so rare, but Abode nails it. The room was spotless and beautifully designed with a calm, contemporary vibe. It didn’t have that “pet room” feel that some places have – everything looked and smelled fresh. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the linens were crisp and felt super comfortable and high class. What really impressed me was how easy they made travelling with my dog. They provided everything we needed, and had a dog toilet area on level 5 (Sunset photo i posted). Staff were helpful and never once made me feel like traveling with a dog was a burden. The location is also super convenient with shops, restaurants, and even a Woolies just downstairs, plus secure parking. It’s one of the few hotels I’ve stayed at that manages to feel both practical and stylish. If you’re looking for a dog-friendly place in Canberra that still feels like a quality stay, Abode Belconnen is honestly unbeatable. We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend

QQingchunfangfoyinwoainikaishiHaha, this hotel definitely requires a bit of an adventurous spirit to stay at! It was built in 1926, so it's celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. In the lobby restaurant, there's a very old manual plug-in switchboard. The hotel's past life probably wasn't as a hotel; it gives off more of a government archives vibe 😂. The room facilities are a bit dated, especially the carpet, but there's a certain echo of the 1950s. The bathroom is quite small, and the shower area, in particular, seems like it would be a squeeze for anyone a bit larger. Canberra gets really cold, so it was a thoughtful touch that the hotel provided extra blankets. Overall, I think you need to have a bit of a nostalgic appreciation to truly enjoy this kind of hotel. The service, however, was quite good.

GGuest UserWe booked a room for three people, but initially found that the room only had two sets of amenities, including bottles of water, slippers, and tea cups. After calling the front desk, the issue was gradually resolved. There were spider webs outside the windows, which discouraged us from opening them. The toilet occasionally made unusual noises, possibly when guests in neighboring rooms flushed. My father went swimming, but the locker would not open when he tried to get his clean clothes. We called the front desk for assistance. A staff member eventually came, but the interaction felt rather cold and lacked any sense of apology, despite the inconvenience my father experienced.

LLikman509Facilities: A bit on the older side, but Canberra doesn't offer a vast selection of hotels anyway. Location: Great location; most city attractions are just a few kilometers away. Service: The front desk staff were very friendly and welcoming, and they handled any issues promptly. Cleanliness: Acceptable.

LlonetloveMidnight Collection was in a central location where amenities is surrounded. You have pub, tram station and walking distance to civic center. The facilities is good enough to have a relax and enjoyable swimming pool and sauna room after a long day. Food wise is pretty tasty, while it may not be free flow in term of buffet style.

AakbonieThis hotel is super convenient! A shopping center called Maunka Terrace is just a 3-minute drive away, and it has Coles, Subway, and McDonald's. There were also Japanese, Italian, pub food, and other Asian restaurants in that area. Parking usually costs $25 per night for guests, but thanks to a Trip.com perk, I only paid $10 a night, which was great! You can't reserve parking, but there was plenty of space, so I had no issues. The breakfast menu was pretty much the same every day, which was a bit disappointing, but there was still a good variety and plenty of food.

GGuest Userlocation was excellent, love the rows of red pin oak trees lining nearby streets during Autumn ( late April), had the 2 bedroom apartment , some small comment, had to wait 30 minutes in the car when we arrived at 2 pm due to room not prepared ,the electric blanket wasn't working in the main bedroom, and the door to the balcony was open when we enter, otherwise an enjoyable stay.

GGuest UserWhat an amazing stay. Everything was spotless, comfortable and a lot of thought put into what we would need as travellers. Food was amazing for both breakfast and dinner. Best meals I’ve had in a long time. The issue we had was difficulty with check in. There is not a ‘person’ there to help with anything. We will definitely be back again!
