"I had a pleasant stay at the Canberra Accommodation Centre. The room was simple but clean, and the shared toilets were well-maintained, which I really appreciated. The price was very reasonable for what you get, especially considering the convenient location. The only downside was that my room didn’t have air conditioning, so it got a bit warm at times. But overall, it was a comfortable and budget-friendly place to stay."

"We enjoyed our stay, The rooms were spacious and the bed was comfortable. You won't hear any noise from the airport which is surprisingly good 👍 The breakfast buffet is great with good quality coffee and food provided. Only downside is that the shower head was worn out, and we couldn't get it changed to overhead mode ( the nob was broken)."

"Stylish hotel with a central location. Recommend the atrium rooms as the sun room we were in faced the busy highway and was quite noisy. The aircon also seemed to have issues. Watch out for parking, it’s relatively expensive and the street parking nearby doesnt do overnight unless you are leaving before 6am. Otherwise a pleasant stay."

"We checked in at 2pm but didn’t enter our room until around 4pm. My 3-year-old son and I opened the door to find a middle-aged man **************** inside the room. Reception later admitted they had issued us the wrong key. This is not a “mistake” — it is a serious failure in safety procedures and room-key management. A child being exposed to a ***** stranger is unacceptable. The hotel’s response was a complimentary breakfast, followed by a refund of a minibar Apple juice and parking at checkout, which does not come close to addressing the seriousness of the incident. A pre-requested cot also never arrived and had to be collected by my husband ourselves, highlighting further operational issues. The location is excellent, but due to the lack of basic safety and professional handling of this incident, we will not be staying here again."

"Overall, our stay at Madison Apartments was pleasant once we finally got into the room. The apartment itself was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with everything we needed — from toiletries to kitchen essentials. The A/C wasn’t working properly at the time, but it wasn’t a big issue since the weather was cool. However, the check-in process was extremely disappointing and frustrating. I had called ahead to ask if we could check in just 30 minutes early as I wasn’t feeling well and needed to rest. Upon arriving around 1:35 pm, we were told the room wasn’t ready, which I completely understood since the official check-in time was 2 pm. But when we came back at 2:40 pm, the room was ”still not ready”. The receptionist asked us to wait another 30 minutes to an hour — we ended up waiting until almost 3:30 pm, and it was still not prepared. It was honestly a terrible start to our stay — being sick, exhausted, and having nowhere to rest while continuously being told “just a little longer.” The receptionist was kind and apologetic, but it was clear she wasn’t getting any real updates from housekeeping. It felt disorganised and unprofessional for an apartment of this standard. Breakfast was another letdown for $25 per person — very basic, with no hot food. Just bread, cereal, fruit in syrup, and some bakery items. The pancakes were the only saving grace. Coffee mix wasn’t good either. Once inside, though, the apartment itself made up for it — spacious, comfortable, and had everything you could need. It’s a nice place overall, but the check-in process seriously needs improvement."

"Stayed at Crowne Plaza Canberra and overall had a decent experience. The hotel is very clean, including the room and common areas, which we appreciated. However, the hotel does feel a bit dated, particularly the bathroom — the shower and bathtub would benefit from an upgrade. The reception staff were friendly, polite, and professional, with smooth and efficient check-in and check-out. Breakfast was acceptable but had limited variety (see video). The location is a plus, right in the city and next to Holey Moley and the entertainment arcade, making it convenient for families with kids. Overall, a clean and well-located hotel, though showing its age in some areas."

"Very happy with our 4 night stay. As a polyamorous trio we booked the accessible apartment option to have access to a king bed for 3 people, that type of room ended up being double booked across the several booking apps but earlier on the day of arrival they informed us and we were happy to take an apartment with a balcony on the 4th floor with the bed setup we wanted. Quite a nice room, friendly staff and conveniently located. Will stay again for any future trips to see family in Canberra."
