"Overall, our stay at Madison Apartments was pleasant once we finally got into the room. The apartment itself was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with everything we needed — from toiletries to kitchen essentials. The A/C wasn’t working properly at the time, but it wasn’t a big issue since the weather was cool. However, the check-in process was extremely disappointing and frustrating. I had called ahead to ask if we could check in just 30 minutes early as I wasn’t feeling well and needed to rest. Upon arriving around 1:35 pm, we were told the room wasn’t ready, which I completely understood since the official check-in time was 2 pm. But when we came back at 2:40 pm, the room was ”still not ready”. The receptionist asked us to wait another 30 minutes to an hour — we ended up waiting until almost 3:30 pm, and it was still not prepared. It was honestly a terrible start to our stay — being sick, exhausted, and having nowhere to rest while continuously being told “just a little longer.” The receptionist was kind and apologetic, but it was clear she wasn’t getting any real updates from housekeeping. It felt disorganised and unprofessional for an apartment of this standard. Breakfast was another letdown for $25 per person — very basic, with no hot food. Just bread, cereal, fruit in syrup, and some bakery items. The pancakes were the only saving grace. Coffee mix wasn’t good either. Once inside, though, the apartment itself made up for it — spacious, comfortable, and had everything you could need. It’s a nice place overall, but the check-in process seriously needs improvement."

"The hotel was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay, including a full kitchen and a cozy living area. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was modern and spotless. The location is right in the city center, close to restaurants, cafes, and public transport, which made getting around very easy. The staff were friendly and helpful, providing quick responses to any questions I had. The only minor downside was that the noise from nearby streets could be a bit noticeable in the evenings, but it didn’t significantly affect my stay. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Canberra, whether for business or leisure. I would definitely stay here again!"

"I recently stayed at Abode Belconnen and honestly couldn’t fault a single thing – it was a perfect 10/10 experience. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed, not just as guests but as pet parents. Finding a truly dog-friendly hotel that still feels modern, clean, and a little bit luxurious is so rare, but Abode nails it. The room was spotless and beautifully designed with a calm, contemporary vibe. It didn’t have that “pet room” feel that some places have – everything looked and smelled fresh. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the linens were crisp and felt super comfortable and high class. What really impressed me was how easy they made travelling with my dog. They provided everything we needed, and had a dog toilet area on level 5 (Sunset photo i posted). Staff were helpful and never once made me feel like traveling with a dog was a burden. The location is also super convenient with shops, restaurants, and even a Woolies just downstairs, plus secure parking. It’s one of the few hotels I’ve stayed at that manages to feel both practical and stylish. If you’re looking for a dog-friendly place in Canberra that still feels like a quality stay, Abode Belconnen is honestly unbeatable. We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend"

"Great location in Ainslie, close to the city with easy parking. Rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable. We were upgraded to an executive room, but it didn’t come with microwave or plates. We extended for another night and moved to regular room since it was already booked. The regular rooms had microwave and plates. Overall, a very pleasant stay."

"Location is ok for price. Room and shared bathroom shower was small but clean. Bed is comfortable . Good view throughout the window . But can hear any noise outside the room door . No any cups in the kitchen and no milk."

"The location is fantastic! If you're taking a FlixBus, it's right next to the station, and also very close to the local bus stop and train station, making it super convenient to get anywhere. There are also plenty of different restaurants nearby, so you definitely won't go hungry – the only problem is deciding what to eat! (´▽｀) Although the hotel isn't brand new, and the water sometimes cuts out briefly when showering at night, it has all the necessary facilities and a great location, so I'd still highly recommend it."

"Had a great stay. The front desk were very accomodating in assisting me extend my stay multiple times. Only thing that could be improved is a more frequent patrol of the hallways and property. Bins are overfilled and i think house keeping needs a more controlled schedule."

"The service at the front desk was the stand out. The beds had great blankets and pillows however they were very wobbly with someone up top bunk. The bathrooms on Level 1 and 2 were nice and clean but the female toilets on Level 3 were really gross. Dated bathroom compared to others and blood smeared on the cubicle wall and spit on the floor in the other one. Maybe some regular checks could help that. The location is awesome in the middle of everything."

"location was excellent, love the rows of red pin oak trees lining nearby streets during Autumn ( late April), had the 2 bedroom apartment , some small comment, had to wait 30 minutes in the car when we arrived at 2 pm due to room not prepared ,the electric blanket wasn't working in the main bedroom, and the door to the balcony was open when we enter,otherwise an enjoyable stay."
