"This hotel is highly unprofessional. The service is poor, and there's a clear discrimination against Asian guests. They refuse to apologize even when they're in the wrong. The surrounding area also feels unsafe. The room transfer service was very unprofessional, and you need a key to use the lobby restroom, which they are reluctant to provide to guests who need it. Please think twice before booking this hotel."

"We recently stayed at the Anker Hotel for a family vacation and had a bit of a mixed experience. On the positive side, the location is fantastic, making it very convenient for getting around and exploring. However, there were several areas that fell short of our expectations for a comfortable family stay: Despite traveling as a family, we were placed in two separate rooms on entirely different floors, which made coordinating things a bit challenging. We were disappointed to find no complimentary water, coffee, or tea provided in the room, a standard touch that would have added much-appreciated comfort after a day out. The washrooms were uncomfortably small, and the provided toiletries were very limited. While the central location is a strong selling point, the overall lack of in-room amenities and disjointed room placement left us a bit disappointed. With a few adjustments, this could easily be a much more welcoming spot for families."

"Excellent location, just walk out from Oslo station and you can see the hotel and have access to the hotel’s level 2 directly. Easy access to airport. Arrived late at night. Check in process was efficient. Staff was polite and offered me a free bottled mineral water which was a kind gesture as the waters/drinks in mini fridge are chargeable. Small compact room but sufficient. Kettle and steam iron available in the room which are very useful. The room is too cold for me though, I think it is around 20-21degC, I tried to adjust temperature to be warmer to 24degC but it was not possible. The restaurant staff are polite and friendly especially the staff at restaurant reception. Good breakfast, plenty of choices, particularly I like the fresh juice/smoothies. Overall a comfortable stay and recommended."

"Even though it's an older hotel, it's really good. The service is excellent, and both the front desk and breakfast staff are very friendly. The rooms are quite spacious, and the best part is that the bathroom is separated from the bed by a wall, so you can't hear the exhaust fan. They use L'Occitane toiletries. The breakfast is very generous, with a good selection of hot dishes, which is rare to find in Europe. The location is super convenient, just a 3-minute walk from the main street. Highly recommend it; I would definitely choose this hotel again."

"The location is not that far from train and bus station, so you can walk about 17 minutes, if you don't have too big luggage. Otherwise, there are seversl tram lines that can take you there in just a two stops, while the stop is just in-front of the hotel. We only stay overnight, having a small breakfast box from the reception at 5 AM. The third bad was not ready, but the reception boy came in 10 mimutes and prepared it for us. There is a coffee machine in the lobby, but it was not for free, as usually in Norwegian hotels. Thrre was no coffee in the room, as well."
