"Stayed at Myeongdong Merlin Hotel for a short transit and overall it was a good experience. The location is convenient about 15–20 minutes to Myeongdong Night Street, which is great if you want easy access to shopping and food.
We arrived quite late (around 10pm) after traveling from Busan and checked out early at 5am to head to ICN airport. Even with the short stay, everything went smoothly. Check-in was quick and hassle-free, which we really appreciated after a long journey.
We were traveling in a big group (18 people), and the hotel managed us well. Rooms were clean and facilities were sufficient for a short stay. Service was also efficient.
Overall, a solid and convenient choice especially for short stays or transit in Seoul 👍"
villiv Inn-The City namsan is located in central Seoul within a 15-minute walk from Myeongdong Street and Namsan Mountain Park. The room is equipped with a refrigerator, stove, microwave, and washing machine (with drying function). Wireless internet and cable TV broadcasts are available free of charge. Mineral water and room cleaning services are provided free of charge every day.
"Great location! The hotel is directly accessible from the subway, so you won't get wet even if it rains. We got a 5-day travel pass for unlimited rides, which was super convenient. The room was well-stocked with towels and tissues, which was a thoughtful touch. There's also free luggage storage downstairs. The view from the window was lovely, and the washing machine worked perfectly, with free detergent provided. I'd definitely come back!"
When staying at LOOK N STAY, you'll be perfectly positioned to explore Mapo-gu.
"The room was very clean and tidy! The location is absolutely fantastic, less than a 3-minute walk from Hongdae Station Exit 1, so even if you're traveling alone at night, you don't have to worry about walking as it's right on the main street! There are two CUs within a 5-minute walk, which is very convenient for buying things. The room provides water, a hairdryer, a straightener, and even a universal adapter 🔌. The hotel staff can be reached via email and their responses are quite quick. The only slight drawback is that the bathroom isn't separated into wet and dry areas, but the ventilation is excellent, so it dries quickly after showering. I highly recommend it; although the room is relatively small, I was able to open two suitcases halfway and still had space to move around. I feel like I would definitely stay here again next time!"

Amazing
MMengtebeiluo-weiqindinuochuzhuangwangThe room was a bit small, even though I booked a business room. The service attitude was incredibly perfunctory – polite on the surface, but they clearly didn't care about the guests at all. We arrived at the hotel at 6 PM, and they still insisted on an 11 AM checkout. When I asked for an extra half-hour, the front desk staff looked at me as if I owed them money. In the end, they just wrote '11:30' on a paper without saying a single word. Seriously, don't you have a mouth? Couldn't you even say something? Their impatient demeanor was truly terrible. This is by far the worst service I've ever experienced in a five-star hotel, and I've stayed in many across different countries. I will definitely not be staying here again. Absolutely dreadful.
FFloria SIt was a cute stay. The shared space such as kitchen and living room is adorable. Lovely that you can use the washing machine and lovely that you got cereals and coffee or tea. I stayed 3 days but first day I just came to leave my stuff and I arrived back in the second day of my stay where I realized the fact that they got a kitchen , haha. The bad thing was the stairs, if you got +20kg luggage and 10 kg backpack as a solo girl is hard to go up as there is self entry space. I had no idea so it was a surprise when I got to the machine self check in. I guess this is how they do in Seoul. It was interesting.
The bad things: the bed sheets aren’t too soft, kinda rough, not sure if is the material or the detergent.
And for the capsule beds, they are made of wood or wood material , that means if anyone moves, you will hear absolutely every little movement of any kind if anyone moves. Usually there is another material to the new capsule stuff, not wood, so if anyone moves you don’t hear anything. These being noticed, is pretty hard to sleep with these 2 things . I didn’t had a rest sleep the 2 nights I spent here but it was still a cute stay. (And no, the earplugs doesn’t work, I put them in my ears + a eye mask that is circular the head ) also there is strong light during the night too in the capsules, there is no button to close that nonstop light.

Amazing
MmiumiuClean and cozy with a quiet atmosphere at night, and super close to Myeongdong Subway Station. Although there's no staff on duty outside of 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM, they reach out via WeChat in advance and are very responsive to any questions or requests. The single room is tiny, but it was fine for just me. It's perfect for a quick, no-frills overnight stay.

GGuest UserI highly recommend the voco Seoul Myeongdong! The service was incredibly thoughtful and patient; even with language barriers, the staff were always proactive and helpful. The room was exceptionally clean and tidy, making for a very comfortable stay. The location is absolutely fantastic – ordering food delivery was super convenient, and Nandaemun Market is right downstairs where you can grab traditional snacks. It's also very close to Seoul Station and Lotte Duty-Free Myeongdong, and you can walk to the Myeongdong shopping district. The hotel even has its own GS25 convenience store, a coffee shop, and Burger King, making food and drinks incredibly easy. There's an airport bus stop right outside the hotel; you can take the 6001 bus directly from Incheon Airport (get off at Nandaemun Station, just tell the driver 'voco hotel' and they'll stop). It made getting around so hassle-free. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Seoul!

Great
Mmomo7648A small hotel near Myeongdong.
1. Location: It's about 800 meters from Seoul Station, closest to Hoehyeon Station on Line 4, right next to Namdaemun Market, and there are many bus stops nearby. The hotel is hard to find! It's on the 10th floor of a building, and the building's signs are in Korean, which made it a bit difficult to figure out. I had to look closely at the entrance to see a small sign with the hotel's name. I was a bit disoriented.
2. The hotel's interior is thoughtfully designed, with many cute signs. There's drinking water, paper cups, tissues, towels, and coffee available for self-service.
3. When I arrived, there was someone at the front desk cleaning. They kindly showed me to my room and explained the various facilities. However, after 9:30 PM, the front desk is unstaffed? I guess you need to contact the hotel in advance for self-check-in? It's a bit inconvenient.
4. Safety concerns. I noticed my room door wouldn't lock? Although I was given a key card, it seemed like anyone could open it? Fortunately, nothing bad happened. Also, the hotel's main door isn't locked before 11:30 PM.

XXiaoxiongmaoshengjidaguaiThe hotel is incredibly convenient for getting around. It's right by Exit 10 of Sookmyung Women's University Station on Subway Line 4, or you can walk about 7-8 minutes from Exit 13 of Seoul Station. During our stay, we didn't need daily room cleaning, but every evening when we returned, we'd find fresh towels and bottled water placed outside our door. We had a really great experience.

LLlininRight outside Chungmuro Station, Exit 8 on Subway Line 4 – just turn around and you're there! It's about one stop from the busiest part of Myeongdong, either a walk or a subway ride away. There's unlimited self-service drinking water in the lobby. Rooms are cleaned every 3 days. The soundproofing is pretty good, so it's quiet, and the room itself is spacious with a separate wet and dry area in the bathroom. The shower pressure is fantastic! And you can even see N Seoul Tower from the room, how cool is that!

GGuest UserI booked this hotel through a Ctrip group deal, and the price during the May Day holiday was incredibly good. By April, the hotel's public rate was already 3-4 times what I paid! The hotel itself is quite luxurious, located halfway up Nanshan Mountain with a fantastic environment. However, there are too few elevators and they are incredibly slow. During peak hours after breakfast, I waited ten minutes for an elevator – the slowest I've ever experienced at a five-star hotel.
The service was generally good. We were supposed to have two adult breakfasts included, but there seemed to be a communication issue between the hotel and Ctrip, as the restaurant only showed one. Ctrip eventually sorted it out, and the front desk, to apologize, even provided a complimentary breakfast for my child. (Though I must say, the restaurant staff weren't particularly enthusiastic.) Also, the kids' play area is only open from 6 AM to 6 PM, which is quite odd, haha. Our room had a city view, and the night scenery was absolutely beautiful.
GGuest UserTransportation: Two bus lines stop right outside the hotel, one of which is the 6001 airport bus to Seoul Incheon. It's about a dozen stops to Gimpo Airport. While the subway station isn't far, it's quite a walk underground, taking at least 10 minutes to reach the turnstiles.
Cleanliness: If you want your room cleaned, you need to hang the 'make up the room' sign on your door, otherwise, the cleaning staff won't come.
Service: The front desk staff were all very helpful. Breakfast is 1000 Korean Won per person.
Facilities: There's a machine at the front desk where you can buy transportation cards and SIM cards, exchange money, and even process in-hotel tax refunds. Another machine sells disposable toothbrushes, facial cleansers, and other convenient items.
Overall: The hotel facilities are good, but it's a bit of a distance from the subway station. However, it's a good value for the price.
GGuest UserWe are tourists from China, and we had a very comfortable four-night stay here.
Firstly, the guesthouse is located in Myeongdong, very close to popular tourist attractions. Hongdae is less than 20 minutes away, and Seongsu-dong is about 40 minutes away. The nearest subway station is also about a 5-minute walk away.
Secondly, the guesthouse itself is very nice and quiet. The common areas have a microwave, water dispenser, refrigerator, and tableware. The room also has a refrigerator, and the toiletries smelled wonderful. There's a power strip on the bedside table, so Chinese tourists don't need to bring their own adapters.
Finally, the host is a very kind and patient person who helped us a lot during our stay, and we are truly grateful!
We highly recommend this guesthouse to all travelers visiting Korea!
