Posted on Jul 19, 2026|Deluxe Double Room - Indoor Swimming Pool Access Only
alohamahaloFor this price point, the basic room hygiene was excellent, no complaints there! But apart from that, everything else was a letdown. If you're looking for a comfortable and convenient trip, this isn't the place.
Location and Dining: The hotel is located on a mountain with a great view, but don't even think about walking anywhere. Besides a duty-free shop nearby (which is mostly frequented by personal shoppers), even getting a taxi is a hassle.
For breakfast, be prepared to wait an hour. The front desk suggested I go before 7 AM to avoid the queue, which, to be fair, made breakfast quite good. When I checked in, I also inquired about dinner and good restaurants. The front desk staff claimed all their hotel restaurants were famous and delicious, especially the Japanese one. When I asked them to make a reservation for us, they said reservations usually needed to be made 30 days in advance. Fine.
Then I thought, I'll just grab a coffee at the hotel cafe. Another wait... at least 30 minutes. Ugh...
Returning to the hotel on the second evening, I found the lobby packed with people queuing all the way to the door, like a bustling market. They were all lining up for the buffet. If your F&B is that good, why bother with the hotel? Guests staying here can't even get a table because it's full of outside diners.
The swimming pool was the same – tiny and completely overcrowded, impossible to actually swim. There must have been at least 50 people in there; it was more like a hot tub than a pool. Honestly, apart from sleeping, nothing else was good.
Let's talk about the service: It felt like they were particularly reluctant to serve Chinese guests. When checking out, my child and I were carrying our luggage out, and there were many staff standing in the lobby who didn't offer to help. It was only when a car pulled up outside that someone came to assist us with our bags. What were all those people standing around in the lobby doing then?
After my luggage was loaded, I got into the car and looked out the window to see the person who just helped me with my bags using my car window as a mirror to fix his hair. Hilarious! (This happened at 7 AM Korean time on the 19th).
For this price, you're better off staying in Gangnam. Josun Palace is much better and similarly priced.
To be honest, I'm very disappointed. It's a beautiful hotel, and the staff are all good-looking, but they clearly haven't been properly trained. I hope whoever cares about this hotel sees this review and seriously considers whether you are in the F&B business or hospitality. My experience of your hospitality was very poor.
You did great in terms of the beautiful location and clean rooms, but you missed out on how to treat your guests that are staying at the hotel. Horrible experience. I don’t think you deserve the reputation you once had.

ShouxinliのnuanI was very satisfied with my stay this time! The location is a big plus, very close to the subway and shopping malls, making it super convenient to get around. The room was bright and clean, and the bedding was comfortable, so I slept really well. The front desk staff were friendly, and overall it was great value for money. The room was also spacious and quite roomy! The bathroom had no unpleasant odors, making for a worry-free and comfortable stay. The room was bright and spacious, the bedding was soft so I slept soundly, and the value for money was excellent. I'll definitely be back next time!

Guest UserEverything else was top-notch and, in many ways, exceeded our experiences at other Four Seasons properties. However, one aspect we found disappointing was the strict minimum spending requirement per guest. We were traveling with children, yet regardless of their age, we were required to meet a minimum spend of approximately $150 per person to be seated at both the terrace restaurant and the Japanese restaurant. Even at the Italian restaurant, we felt pressured to order both appetizers and main courses for the children. While the food and service were excellent, these policies made dining with a family feel less welcoming and detracted from an otherwise outstanding stay.

Facilities: The hotel is well-equipped. Although it's located halfway up a hill, there's a shuttle bus for tourists to Myeongdong and Hannam-dong, and it's also very convenient to call an Uber or a taxi right outside. If you don't go out, you can easily spend half a day at the hotel's swimming pool and gym during the day, and the lobby bar in the evening has a great ambiance with live music.
Ambiance: The hotel has a very old-money feel. The window views are beautiful, and the colors of the mountain forest change with the seasons, which I imagine would also change one's experience of the hotel. The rooms are very beautiful; I highly recommend a mountain-view room.
Service: The service is exceptionally attentive, breaking away from traditional Korean service. There are staff members at every point, especially in the gym and dining areas, who guide you, so you won't feel lost or confused when you go by yourself.

DubeibeiWhile Ctrip shows this hotel opened in 2024, it's likely an older hotel that's been rebranded or renovated. The facilities are a bit dated and the lighting is dim. However, its prime location is a big plus. The sandwiches at the TWO SOME cafe downstairs are delicious. You can walk directly to the hotel from Seoul Station by following the overhead walkway, and you even get a view of Namsan Tower. Namsan Hanok Village is also nearby and worth a visit.

Coconut nnnnnnIt was pretty good! I went with a friend, and the airport shuttle goes directly there, which was super convenient. There are lots of places to eat right next to the hotel, plus a 7-Eleven and an Olive Young store, so it was really handy for food and shopping. However, the soundproofing isn't great; you can hear doors opening and closing in the next room at night. 🥹 I hope they can improve that. On the bright side, you can get unlimited free water. Overall, it was decent.

Conveniently located in the middle of both tourist hotspots and local haunts, Grid Inn Hotel provided us with an unexpectedly pleasant one night's stay with the best service I have ever experienced.
The room was cozy and and homely, the air conditioning was as strong as you want it to be, and the beds were comfortable. While the shower drainage is indeed slower than other hotels as mentioned in other reviews, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.
The highlight of this hotel is definitely the people. The staff were the friendliest and most welcoming I have ever experienced in all my trips! They also saved my life. I had forgotten to charge up my T money card for the airport bus the next day and the train stations were already closed by then. With only 50,000 won cash denominations, we tried to ask the staff on duty at 2am if it's possible to exchange for some small change. Well...she did so and provided us with different denominations just in case. It was a really huge help!
After we checked out the in the morning, they even personally sent us off to make sure we went the right way to the airport bus stop. It left us feeling really warm inside.
I rarely write long reviews, but Grid Inn Hotel has made our extremely short trip so unexpectedly pleasant it would be a crime not to.
Needless to say, highly recommended and we will be back again. :)
P.s. as a little reply to the other review we saw, the supposedly fishy smells probably came from this little stall that sells mackerels right at the back door of the hotel. Honestly, if you are a fan of fish, those mackerels smell AMAZING even in the morning, and the smell wouldn't get to you at all. We actually find it unfortunate we didn't have time to try it (attached a pic of the shop too!)

Karina’sChExcellent location. Breakfast is included, along with amenities such as towels and slippers. Overall cleanliness is good, though the bathrooms are somewhat dated and in need of renovation. The female dormitory is essentially a single large room packed with beds; while there are spacious lockers for belongings, there is very little space in the aisles.

Guest UserWe stayed 6 nights here. Even though the hotel is older, but very clean and no smell no bugs in the toilet. 10 minutes walk to metro but 1 minute to bus stop with buses to almost everywhere, personally I do enjoy bus rides more so that is a plus. Free water, daily cleaning and basic amenities are really nice. + affordability! 100% recommend❤️

I’m Japanese travelerWe stayed here as a group of three. The three beds were arranged together, which was convenient. The separate vanity area was a nice touch, and the room was designed efficiently and spaciously, making it very comfortable to use! Besides the hotel's reliability and cleanliness, its accessibility is outstanding. Gwangjang Market is just a 5-minute walk north, and a 10-minute walk east takes you to the wholesale clothing area, where you'll find places like nyunyu. The bus stop is also very close to the hotel! Plus, there's an underground passage right in front of the hotel that connects to various subway lines like Line 4 and Line 1. This is perfect for avoiding the summer heat or winter cold! And there's a large CU convenience store right next door to the hotel. The location is absolutely perfect, highly recommended!
