Posted on Jul 23, 2026|Business Deluxe Twin Room With Indoor Pool Access Only
Guest UserThe lobby is gorgeous and has a great style. The room isn't big, but I found it quite cozy, and it was very quiet at night, so I slept soundly. We booked a twin room, but the two beds were quite small, only about a meter wide each. We had two small children with us, and the front desk charged an extra 200 yuan or so per person per day, which I found quite unreasonable. If they had provided extra towels, toiletries, or even an extra duvet, or a small toy (without being asked), it would have felt like we were getting something for that value. But as it was, there was no difference compared to not paying, especially since even toothbrushes cost extra. As for cleanliness, don't scrutinize the details too much; a germaphobe would have to turn a blind eye. For example, the bathtub felt dirty to the touch, and there was hair wrapped around the faucet, but we probably wouldn't use it anyway, so don't dwell on it too much.

I'll definitely be staying at this hotel again and again!
🏠 Location:
The location is incredibly convenient. Right downstairs is Myeongdong's bustling main street, and the entrance is directly at Myeongdong Station (Line 4), making subway travel super easy. Aside from taking a taxi from the airport to the hotel, we used the subway for everything else 🚇.
Ambiance:
The hotel's location is excellent, and there's a large common area on the third floor with complimentary capsule coffee available 24/7 ☕. There's even an ice machine right outside our room (which was amazing for me, as I can't live without ice!).
Cleanliness:
The room was very clean. It wasn't huge, but it was quite comfortable to stay in 👍👍.
Service:
During our four-night stay, we didn't encounter any front desk staff who spoke Chinese, but English communication was perfectly fine. Everyone was really nice, and the overall experience was excellent 🌸.

Guest UserEverything else was top-notch and, in many ways, exceeded our experiences at other Four Seasons properties. However, one aspect we found disappointing was the strict minimum spending requirement per guest. We were traveling with children, yet regardless of their age, we were required to meet a minimum spend of approximately $150 per person to be seated at both the terrace restaurant and the Japanese restaurant. Even at the Italian restaurant, we felt pressured to order both appetizers and main courses for the children. While the food and service were excellent, these policies made dining with a family feel less welcoming and detracted from an otherwise outstanding stay.

딸기빙수The hotel is right outside Exit 10 of Sookmyung Women's University Station, not Seoul Station. I was a bit surprised to be given a 3rd-floor room when I requested a higher floor, but the Namsan Tower view was absolutely stunning. What's unique here is the bathtub in the middle of the room, which I found quite interesting. I didn't actually use the tub, but it would have been perfect for bathing while enjoying the view. However, there were no curtains for the bathroom door or windows, which was a bit inconvenient. Also, the slippers weren't disposable, which felt a bit unsanitary. There was a slight smell from the drain in the shower and a clicking noise from the air conditioner, which was a little annoying, but other than that, it was a pretty decent stay.

Posted on Aug 11, 2026|Deluxe Twin City View Lounge Access
Guest UserOriginally, I booked a hotel in Gangnam, but considering factors like shopping and sightseeing, I decided to switch to Voco Myeongdong at the last minute. Overall, I'm quite satisfied.
In terms of service, from the front desk reception to the lounge, the swimming pool, and breakfast, every staff member was smiling and dedicated to providing excellent service. It was really good.
For dining, the breakfast selection was extensive and the food tasted great. Enjoying a hot bowl of Vietnamese pho in the morning was very comforting. The lounge also had a good selection; happy hour offered three hot dishes, along with cold platters, desserts, drinks, and alcoholic beverages, all of high quality.
The room was also quite satisfactory. It was well-equipped with all sorts of amenities. The first round of the mini-bar was complimentary every day, and the quality was decent. The smart toilet and bathtub were very convenient. There were also USB and Type-C chargers. The only minor issues were that the USB charging port seemed to be of poor quality and often disconnected. The 0.8m bed was a bit narrow, and there was a slight risk of falling off when turning over. Also, upon check-in, there were two bottles of shampoo and one conditioner in the shower, and I had to inform the front desk to get a bottle of body wash sent up. Furthermore, the swimming pool closes quite early, at 8:00 PM.
The location is truly excellent. There's a subway station and several bus stops right downstairs. From the lounge, you can directly see Namsan Tower. Namdaemun Market is right across the street, and it's a direct walk to Lotte and Shinsegae Duty-Free Department Stores, as well as Myeongdong's main shopping street, making it very convenient for shopping. The hotel also has a GS25, Burger King, and coffee shops, making it incredibly easy to grab a bite or a drink.
I would definitely choose this hotel again next time.

LlininRight outside Chungmuro Station, Exit 8 on Subway Line 4 – just turn around and you're there! It's about one stop from the busiest part of Myeongdong, either a walk or a subway ride away. There's unlimited self-service drinking water in the lobby. Rooms are cleaned every 3 days. The soundproofing is pretty good, so it's quiet, and the room itself is spacious with a separate wet and dry area in the bathroom. The shower pressure is fantastic! And you can even see N Seoul Tower from the room, how cool is that!

Facilities: The hotel is well-equipped. Although it's located halfway up a hill, there's a shuttle bus for tourists to Myeongdong and Hannam-dong, and it's also very convenient to call an Uber or a taxi right outside. If you don't go out, you can easily spend half a day at the hotel's swimming pool and gym during the day, and the lobby bar in the evening has a great ambiance with live music.
Ambiance: The hotel has a very old-money feel. The window views are beautiful, and the colors of the mountain forest change with the seasons, which I imagine would also change one's experience of the hotel. The rooms are very beautiful; I highly recommend a mountain-view room.
Service: The service is exceptionally attentive, breaking away from traditional Korean service. There are staff members at every point, especially in the gym and dining areas, who guide you, so you won't feel lost or confused when you go by yourself.

I traveled to Seoul alone, and overall, this hotel provided a great experience. Next time I'm in Seoul, I'll definitely consider staying here again! 👍🏻
Pros:
1. The location is excellent, right in Myeongdong and very close to Myeongdong Subway Station, just a few minutes' walk away. There are many restaurants nearby, a coffee shop and a self-service beverage store downstairs, and a convenience store a short walk further – super convenient.
2. The room was quite clean, equipped with air conditioning, a mini-fridge, a full-length mirror, a desktop mirror, a hairdryer, etc. There's a common lounge area on the first floor with a microwave, a refrigerator, and a water dispenser (which provides both hot and ice water).
3. Self-check-in is available. I checked in late at night, and it went very smoothly. Free luggage storage is also a big plus.
4. There's a rooftop terrace with a direct view of Namsan Tower, and the scenery is quite nice.
5. The staff's service attitude was very good.
Cons:
1. The hotel is located on a steep hill. Going down is easy, but climbing up can be a bit challenging. If you have a large suitcase, it might be quite tiring.
2. There's no elevator for guests, but there is a luggage lift. Since I stayed on the second floor, it wasn't a big issue, but if you're on the fifth floor, it might be tiring to walk up.
3. My room was a bit small, just right for one person. For two people, it might feel a bit cramped, and the bathroom was small, making showering a bit inconvenient.
4. The mini-fridge was a bit noisy. I had to unplug it at night when I slept and plug it back in during the day.
I had a wonderful time in Seoul and look forward to my next trip! 🥰

Conveniently located in the middle of both tourist hotspots and local haunts, Grid Inn Hotel provided us with an unexpectedly pleasant one night's stay with the best service I have ever experienced.
The room was cozy and and homely, the air conditioning was as strong as you want it to be, and the beds were comfortable. While the shower drainage is indeed slower than other hotels as mentioned in other reviews, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.
The highlight of this hotel is definitely the people. The staff were the friendliest and most welcoming I have ever experienced in all my trips! They also saved my life. I had forgotten to charge up my T money card for the airport bus the next day and the train stations were already closed by then. With only 50,000 won cash denominations, we tried to ask the staff on duty at 2am if it's possible to exchange for some small change. Well...she did so and provided us with different denominations just in case. It was a really huge help!
After we checked out the in the morning, they even personally sent us off to make sure we went the right way to the airport bus stop. It left us feeling really warm inside.
I rarely write long reviews, but Grid Inn Hotel has made our extremely short trip so unexpectedly pleasant it would be a crime not to.
Needless to say, highly recommended and we will be back again. :)
P.s. as a little reply to the other review we saw, the supposedly fishy smells probably came from this little stall that sells mackerels right at the back door of the hotel. Honestly, if you are a fan of fish, those mackerels smell AMAZING even in the morning, and the smell wouldn't get to you at all. We actually find it unfortunate we didn't have time to try it (attached a pic of the shop too!)

joycekwok828There was a minor hiccup; the front desk gave me the wrong room key. When I went upstairs, I found that the room was still occupied by another guest who hadn't checked out yet. Luckily, they weren't in the room at the time, otherwise, it could have been a real issue. Thankfully, nothing else happened after that.
