"Great hotel service and in middle of Myeong-dong! Do note the Uber/Taxi apps can’t set pickup point right outside the hotel entrance, you got to walk out to main street, all else is good about the location They offer free beer and nachos or popcorn for the movie room. They went out of the way to find me birthday candles which I forgot to bring and can’t find anywhere in Myeong-dong. The room is great and cool concept except there are no windows. Late check-out is also not tolerated. Check-out after 11:10am is chargeable, I requested a-bit more time and only offered till 11:20am else charges start at 20,000KRW. No toothbrush and toothpaste as well, is sold for 6,500KRW for a pack of 2 toothbrushes and toothpaste. Bring your own!"

"Our first stop in Seoul was this hotel. The front desk staff spoke Chinese, so communication was seamless. I found the location quite easy to find; just go up a small hill and make a turn, and you'll see it. It offers great value for money, so the small room size wasn't an issue – plus, I haven't really seen any 'large' rooms in Seoul anyway. Being near Sinchon, the location is unbeatable, making it convenient to get anywhere, especially Hongdae! Highly recommend it!"

"2nd time staying here for 1 nightafter my Busan trip. Initially front office given me a corner room which I am not aware (I requested no corner room) Just before I took the lift, he came to us & apologies said he saw my request for no corner room & rearrange another room for us. In fact he upgraded me to a triple room without telling us which consist of 1 double bed & 1 single bed. Though it's a triple room but the room size is the same as a twin room & this time the toilet/bathroom take up quite a lot of space hence packing of the luggage has to be done on the bed. But we are thankful to him for being so thoughtful. Overall it's a great stay."

"My stay at HOTEL BOTANIK's Deluxe King Room in Myeongdong exceeded my expectations. The room had a modern, apartment-style feel with brand new facilities and full amenities, making it ideal for those planning a longer stay in Seoul. The in-room amenities were definitely the highlight. The air conditioning had a control panel for temperature adjustment, and it came equipped with an AirDresser, a washer-dryer combo, a separate fridge and freezer, an induction hob, and a microwave oven. Inside the cabinets, there was even a wine cooler, wine glasses, and mugs, giving it the feel of a small boutique apartment. Charging was also convenient, with both USB and Type-C outlets available, and the bidet toilet had a full range of functions. The bathroom featured a wet/dry separation design, and the water pressure was consistent, making for a very comfortable shower. However, there were a few things to note: The kitchenware provided was quite basic, with only two plates, which might be insufficient if you plan to do a lot of cooking. Also, laundry detergent wasn't provided in the room, but you could purchase it at the front desk if needed. There are several construction sites near the hotel, but surprisingly, the soundproofing was excellent during my stay, with no noticeable noise at night. My sleep quality was quite peaceful. Overall, this hotel is more of a ”high-functional type” accommodation. The facilities are new and highly practical, feeling more like staying in a well-designed apartment than a traditional hotel. It made for a very comfortable stay."

"Overall a good option for solo travelers. Located right near Dongdaemun subway station, very convenient to get to main touristy areas. There’s a 7/11 right outside the hotel and lots of restaurants in the area, some of them open 24/7. The room isn’t too small, enough to unpack your suitcase. There was a huge TV in the room with various streaming services available, nice to unwind watching a show at the end of the day. All necessary amenities were provided like towels, bathrobes, even hygienic product samples like lotion, cotton swabs, washing cloth etc. The lock is automatic, and I felt pretty safe in the hotel. Personally not a fan of Korean style bathrooms (no separation between showering area and the toilet), but you can get used to it. Please note that cleaning is upon request only."

"Super nice area, just 5 minutes from the train station and bus stop. There’s a slight uphill walk, but it’s manageable. The neighborhood is quiet enough to making it easy to get a good night’s sleep. The in-room amenities go above and beyond: towels, soap, shampoo, conditioner, hair dryer, comb, lotion, and toner. The bed was perfect, not to mention the ergonomic pillow that made for a great night’s sleep. On the check out day, the staff helped us get a taxi to the airport. Downsides: We were two women traveling with large suitcases, and the room felt a bit tight, we couldn’t keep both suitcases open at the same time and had to take turns. Also, there’s no separation between the dry and wet areas in the bathroom, so the floor tends to get wet after every shower."

"The perfect location for those who have a packed schedule in Seoul! The ***** of food stalls and shopping provides the perfect stroll. The staff are all so kind and willing to help and chat. We found the bed in the room a little hard, but that’s because we love a super soft mattress. Otherwise it was all wonderful!"
