II-LingWe couldn’t have picked a better place to unwind than Mudunk Moding Plantation Nature Resort. While many visitors opt to stay near the beach, we were seeking peace, beauty, and immersion in nature—and this resort delivered all that and more. From the moment we arrived, the experience felt warm and welcoming. The staff greeted us with friendly smiles, refreshing welcome drinks, and cool towels. We were then whisked to our villa by a golf buggy—a small but thoughtful touch that set the tone for our stay. Our villa featured a heated jacuzzi and a private infinity pool—absolute heaven! The view was breathtaking, and the jacuzzi was already warm when we arrived. We jumped right in and couldn’t stop smiling. It was one of those perfect moments where everything just felt right. We stayed for two nights and dined at both on-site restaurants. The first evening at the Balinese restaurant coincided with happy hour (cocktails were buy one, get one free). Unfortunately, the cocktails were watery and lacked flavor, which was a letdown since I had envisioned sipping something lovely in the jacuzzi with that view. The food was okay but a bit bland—I would like to add some salt to bring out the taste. The western-style restaurant on the second night was a better experience. The dishes were more flavorful and suited my palate, though the fries were soft and resembled oven chips—crispy fries would’ve made the meal more satisfying. Another minor downside was the limited beer selection. Guinness was on the menu but unavailable during our stay. A broader or more reliable selection of drinks would elevate the dining experience for guests who enjoy a cold one with a view. On the brighter side, the floating breakfast was a standout—absolutely sensational! You can order anything from the menu as long as you don’t waste food. We devoured everything on the first day. On the second, the only thing I couldn’t finish was the sweet green beans with chia seeds—too sweet for my taste, but everything else was delicious. I also treated myself to a spa massage, and it was one of the highlights of my stay. The setting was tranquil, the therapist was skilled, and I left feeling completely relaxed and refreshed—exactly what I needed. Another detail I truly appreciated was the resort’s commitment to environmental sustainability. There were no plastic products in the room, which reflects their thoughtful effort to protect the natural surroundings. If I could suggest one improvement, it would be better ventilation in the bathroom—perhaps a window or enhanced airflow. Despite the minor flaws—the cocktails, fries, and beer options—the serene atmosphere, impeccable service, stunning views, and thoughtful touches made this an unforgettable getaway. Mudunk Moding Plantation Nature Resort will absolutely be my first choice when I return to Bali. If you’re someone who values peace, nature, and the joy of escaping to a tranquil paradise, this is the place for you.

JJohn CharlesWe went for our 20th wedding anniversary and could not have been happier with our choice! This place is stunning both inside and out. We were amazed by how beautiful the surroundings were with every detail well thought out. The room was stunning and well laid out. When we arrived they had cooled down the room and heated the pool which was the absolute perfect temperature the entire time. Having a wam pool was a big part of how much we enjoyed our stay as we spent quite a bit of time in it. The room and outside patio area was very private and we felt as though we were the only ones there at times. The food was also amazing whether we ate at the poolside restaurant, the high end restaurant Aperitif, or eating in the Pinstripes Bar. We really enjoyed the bar and the staff there. They were so attentive and everyone made us feel right at home. We enjoyed great conversations there and got some good recommendations on things to see in the area. The drinks were really next level as these bartenders know their craft. It was fun to watch them mix the drinks and they explained the science behind what flavors they were combining and how some of the spices and other ingredients were locally sourced. The entire staff was also another highlight. Everyone we encountered could not have been more friendly and attentive. The general manager even took the time to sit with us to see how our stay was going and asking other questions that showed he was very committed to the property. We also like that this is a family owned property. They were staying there while we were there and it was clear they too all had a passion for excellence. We researched properties for months before deciding on Viceroy. We did spend a bit more in the end than we may have for other 5 star properties, but after reading some of the reviews at the other places, we kept circling back to Viceroy. We are so glad we did and in the end, the extra money still made the stay seem like a bargain. We have paid about the same for a tiny room in a substandard hotel in New York City and here we were treated like kings in one of the most beautiful spots we have ever stayed in. Thank you to everyone who made our stay so special. We will be back! John and Dan

SSchleiderFor a relaxing, romantic stay in Bali away from the tourist hot spots, the Sanak Retreat is the ideal place to stay. It is really exceptionally nice located in the middle of the rice terraces and the few bungalows blend harmoniously into the landscape. We felt right at home. The food is ok and not too expensive. The location invites to hiking and biking. The only downside to our stay was that we were there at the time of the rice harvest and the farmers in the immediate vicinity of the hotel burned the rice palm after the harvest. This has unfortunately stunk terrible and fouled entire stretches of land for days. Those who are sensitive to bad air should try to avoid the time of the rice harvest.

GGuest UserI recently had the pleasure of staying at Metland Venya Ubud, and ”wonderful” is an understatement. From the moment I arrived, the experience was seamless, deeply relaxing, and infused with genuine Balinese hospitality. Exceptional Service & Facilities The heart of this hotel is undoubtedly its people. The staff were incredibly respectful and attended to every request with remarkable care and promptness. The property itself is full of facilities that cater to every need, striking a perfect balance between modern luxury and natural charm. Culinary Delights The dining experience was a standout highlight. Both the breakfast and afternoon tea were exceptional, offering high-quality flavors and beautiful presentation. Enjoying these treats while overlooking the lush greenery made every meal feel like a special occasion. Breathtaking Location Situated in a beautiful location, the hotel offers a stunning valley view that feels like a living postcard. Waking up to the mist over the jungle and the peaceful sounds of the Ubud highlands provided the ultimate sense of tranquility. Final Verdict: With its attentive service, top-tier amenities, and world-class views, Metland Venya Ubud is a gem. I cannot recommend it highly enough for anyone seeking a soulful retreat.

RRyan.AOur stay at Homm Saranam Baturiti was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived at the lobby, we were welcomed by a breathtaking mountain view that immediately set the tone for a relaxing getaway. Walking into our two-bedroom villa, the kids were completely wowed. The villa was amazing—spacious, beautifully designed, and perfect for our family of five. It even had its own private plunge pool, incredibly comfortable beds, and cozy areas where you could relax with a quiet read. Our villa was conveniently located next to the main pool and gym, both of which we used daily. Breakfast had everything we needed to start our mornings right. One of the highlights of our stay was an intimate dinner at the upstairs restaurant. A big shout-out to Chef Erni and Ryan, who prepared our à la carte dishes with so much love. Every dish we tried was incredibly flavoursome and memorable. The location was also ideal for exploring nearby attractions. We visited Banyumala Twin Waterfalls, Handara Gates, and the Floating Temple, all of which were absolutely stunning. Homm Saranam Baturiti is a perfect blend of comfort, nature, and heartfelt hospitality. We would definitely return.

스루기루The location was very bad. The villa itself looks luxurious on the outside, but you can see the countryside just 10 steps away. Every time you pass by the hotel, you can make eye contact with several cows. It was said that it was a villa close to the beach, so I booked it with high expectations, but the beach was at least a 20-minute walk away. If you go up to the rooftop (2nd floor) of our villa, you can see the sea in the distance^^... So I didn't walk separately. (If you think of a beachfront hotel on Sanur Beach, it's Osan, Gyeonggi-do...) However, all of the staff were friendly and tried to respond quickly to requests. We were very grateful that they tried to accommodate our convenience as much as possible, such as renting a motorcycle (150,000 IDR per day), renting a lighter to light candles (free), etc. However, since our villa was open, it was full of ants, and after the sun went down, lizards crawled out and stuck to the walls. Saying that there are a lot of mosquitoes is just plain nagging... On the first day, we rented a motorcycle and went to a large supermarket to buy F Killa... The bathroom was larger than expected and was divided into a bathtub/toilet/shower space. I am satisfied with both the fact that there is a sink and that the sink is wide enough, but about 90% of the water in the shower room does not drain... When I take a shower, the water builds up on the floor of the shower room and flows out... So, after taking a shower, I wash it every day. We wiped the water off the floor with a towel together... There was a separate kitchen area, welcome fruit was prepared, a soft sofa was placed in front of the kitchen, and there was a private swimming pool. I was satisfied that I could use it, but the bean bag left next to the pool was torn, dirty, and messy. There were quite a few things I was satisfied with, but there were also many things I was dissatisfied with. There are no visiting doctors.

GGuest UserGede was so nice and helpful. True MVP. He gave me suggestions and even a ride to somewhere too far to walk! Short walk to Dream Beach (with a good restaurant) and Devil’s Tear. About 20 minute walk to Mushroom Beach with more restaurants and a few ATMs along the way. You can rent a scooter from the hotel. The bungalows are rustic but really pleasant. The AC is strong and there’s a mosquito net for the bed so it’s not a problem that there are some gaps in the walls and door. I liked the open-air bathroom. The shower was nice. The pool is also great. Breakfast was eggs and toast, plus coffee/tea and juice. The outlets weren’t placed super conveniently at the floor if you like to charge your phone at night and see it in bed. The “safety box” thing in the room isn’t actually secure - you can open it with your finger. However, I always felt super safe and wasn’t worried about needing to use it.

GGuest UserThe standard room has an AC according to trip.com, but in fact it only has a fan. But I wont blame the hotel, because I have the strong feeling trip used a.g.o.d.a as a third party and put the wrong information. The view from our room was very nice, and we had the banana pancake for breakfast that was excellent. It is a good accomodation for the price and I would recommend it. But next time I would choose a room with AC

AAnonymous UserStaying here was a real retreat. The room which has pool access we booked was clean, spacious, intimate bcs there only a few room. Our room was very close to the dining gazebo where there were some plugs so we could working with our laptop with a sight of ricefields. the bathroom has a good warm water shower. I love when the morning sun can penetrate to the room. Nasi goreng and Mie goreng for breakfast are quite tasty. - But sometimes you can hear a gecko at night and unfortunately during our 2n3d stay, there were no one clean and make up our room. Also tissue and water didn't get refilled.
