This 5 star hotel is really excellent. It’s located up the mountain in central Bali looking out over the forests and jungle towards Ubud. It’s cooler as a result and providing it’s not too cloudy (hotel can be in the clouds at 1200m elevation), you can see for many miles. This really makes the infinity pools spectacular. Rooms are spacious, we had a villa with hot tub but also had a nice garden, and room is equipped with everything you might need including mosquito net over the bed.
As you would expect, the service and restaurants are first class offering a selection of Balinese and western dishes.
The hotel is also a working coffee plantation and this is apparent in many ways, from the morning tours (free) to the 4 types of coffee power included in the complimentary room tea & coffee set.
It’s a beautiful hotel, pricy though and there’s not much in the local vicinity, but if you want luxury and a great experience in central Bali, it’s a good choice.

This was the most perfect hotel I've ever stayed in. The staff were all friendly. I had dinner at the aperitif, a French course meal. It was called ”Mid Journey,” and it was a truly enjoyable meal, as if I was on a real trip.
On my last day, I went to Ubud Monkey Forest, but it was so hot.
I returned to the hotel, grabbed my luggage, took a shower, and headed to the airport.
I was so grateful for the refreshing return.
The private pools in each room were so nice that I didn't even need to use the public pool.
I'll definitely be back next time!!

This hotel is nestled in the Ubud valley, built along the hillside in a distinctly Southeast Asian style. It boasts an incredible infinity pool with breathtaking views. To access the infinity pool down in the valley, the hotel even has a funicular, somewhat similar to the one at the InterContinental Da Nang, though that one goes to the beach while this descends into the valley – each with its own charm. Personally, I think it rivals the infinity pool at Ayana Ubud. The front desk service is warm and welcoming. If you're looking for a jungle hotel experience in Ubud, this place is definitely worth considering.

SchleiderFor a relaxing, romantic stay in Bali away from the tourist hot spots, the Sanak Retreat is the ideal place to stay. It is really exceptionally nice located in the middle of the rice terraces and the few bungalows blend harmoniously into the landscape. We felt right at home. The food is ok and not too expensive. The location invites to hiking and biking. The only downside to our stay was that we were there at the time of the rice harvest and the farmers in the immediate vicinity of the hotel burned the rice palm after the harvest. This has unfortunately stunk terrible and fouled entire stretches of land for days. Those who are sensitive to bad air should try to avoid the time of the rice harvest.

Our stay at Homm Saranam Baturiti was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived at the lobby, we were welcomed by a breathtaking mountain view that immediately set the tone for a relaxing getaway.
Walking into our two-bedroom villa, the kids were completely wowed. The villa was amazing—spacious, beautifully designed, and perfect for our family of five. It even had its own private plunge pool, incredibly comfortable beds, and cozy areas where you could relax with a quiet read.
Our villa was conveniently located next to the main pool and gym, both of which we used daily. Breakfast had everything we needed to start our mornings right.
One of the highlights of our stay was an intimate dinner at the upstairs restaurant. A big shout-out to Chef Erni and Ryan, who prepared our à la carte dishes with so much love. Every dish we tried was incredibly flavoursome and memorable.
The location was also ideal for exploring nearby attractions. We visited Banyumala Twin Waterfalls, Handara Gates, and the Floating Temple, all of which were absolutely stunning.
Homm Saranam Baturiti is a perfect blend of comfort, nature, and heartfelt hospitality. We would definitely return.

Guest UserOne of the best views you will ever wake up to, we stayed in Villa Lana with the sun rise view. It’s in the middle of nowhere but I think that is a positive as it’s great to get away from everything. All you need is on the resort with two great restaurants and room service options

Top interior and exterior, high level service, location near ocean.
Booking malfunctions in the interaction between management and staff, at the fault of management.
Please install a jockey pump on the villa water system, not worth the big investment. Or you have to wait for water from the faucet.

Staying here was a real retreat. The room which has pool access we booked was clean, spacious, intimate bcs there only a few room. Our room was very close to the dining gazebo where there were some plugs so we could working with our laptop with a sight of ricefields. the bathroom has a good warm water shower. I love when the morning sun can penetrate to the room. Nasi goreng and Mie goreng for breakfast are quite tasty. - But sometimes you can hear a gecko at night and unfortunately during our 2n3d stay, there were no one clean and make up our room. Also tissue and water didn't get refilled.

Guest UserGede was so nice and helpful. True MVP. He gave me suggestions and even a ride to somewhere too far to walk! Short walk to Dream Beach (with a good restaurant) and Devil’s Tear. About 20 minute walk to Mushroom Beach with more restaurants and a few ATMs along the way. You can rent a scooter from the hotel. The bungalows are rustic but really pleasant. The AC is strong and there’s a mosquito net for the bed so it’s not a problem that there are some gaps in the walls and door. I liked the open-air bathroom. The shower was nice. The pool is also great. Breakfast was eggs and toast, plus coffee/tea and juice.
The outlets weren’t placed super conveniently at the floor if you like to charge your phone at night and see it in bed. The “safety box” thing in the room isn’t actually secure - you can open it with your finger. However, I always felt super safe and wasn’t worried about needing to use it.

Guest UserA heavenly place, we got a room with a view of the lake and the volcano. There are fruit trees on the territory, such as mango, avocado, passion fruit and many others) there is also a pool with a hot spring, but for us it was not hot enough) the staff is always responsive, always ready to prompt and advise what and where to see) it is simply a magical place. I recommend it 100%
