Our stay at Shanhai Premium Guesthouse was an incredibly peaceful and rejuvenating experience! The mountain surroundings were absolutely breathtaking, with fresh crisp air that immediately washed away all our city stress. The room was cozy and well-designed, featuring traditional Chinese elements blended with modern amenities. The staff were exceptionally welcoming and accommodating, always ready to help with any requests. The location was perfect for exploring the Wuling Mountain area, and we loved waking up to the sound of birds and seeing the misty mountain views every morning. The hiking trails nearby were well-maintained and offered stunning views of the landscape. Although it was a bit remote, that was exactly what we were looking for - a true escape from urban life. The local breakfast was delicious and featured fresh, organic ingredients from the area. We particularly enjoyed the evening stargazing, as the night sky was crystal clear away from city lights. This place is absolutely perfect for couples seeking a romantic getaway or anyone looking to reconnect with nature. We would definitely recommend this hidden gem to all our friends and family, and we plan to return again in the different seasons to experience the changing beauty of the mountains. Love their home cooked dishes! We rather go back to hotel for meal after Gubei water town. The couple bosses were so sweet to let us indicate spiciness and accommodate our minor diet restriction. They dun have noodles but they used alternative ingredients to make some gourd dish that tasted close to noodles. The rooms were big, in SG standard, one bed was queen size and the other was super single. Their bathroom was newly renovated and love their heater installed at shower cubicle, making it more comfortable to shower in cold weather. The couple bosses provided great tips on local transport to help us get to/fro Jinshanling for sunset and sunrise opportunities. They are situated around 5min drive from Jinshanling ticketing. Love the room doorstep views overlooking the geese and house dog. We will choose this hotel next time!

The views are fantastic! On the day of departure, the front desk even sent a text message with directions for driving there, which was incredibly thoughtful and considerate. It took about two hours to drive from Beijing to the hotel. We pre-registered our car and were able to park it in the parking lot. They even have fast-charging stations. We also pre-booked the public hot spring and enjoyed the Eye Stone hot spring. The breakfast quality was also excellent. I highly recommend coming here for the experience!

The hotel is excellent! The rooms are clean and tidy. Xiao Liang and Xiao Han at the front desk were incredibly warm and patient. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit the Chengde Mountain Resort!

Traveling with elders and children, this hotel is very satisfied. The hotel is located at the entrance of the colorful forest. There are many choices for eating nearby, which is quite convenient. There is also a bonfire party in the evening, and the children are very happy. The hotel environment is very special, and the children especially like it. The front desk saw that we took the children and upgraded the parent-child room for us. The room has its own small hanging chair. The room is clean and tidy, the service staff is also very attentive and attentive, and a small can of tea is sent before leaving. The downside is that the room sink space is a bit small, and there is no soap box and no toiletries.

We were scared of large crowds at the wall, and followimg many online recommendation we found the Jinshanling section. This hotel is at the great location a short walk from the mid enterance to the wall section, the Gubeikou train station is also very reachable from the Beijingbei (North) train station. It is also quite affordable to reach the place by Didi (550 yuan from the Beijing airport). The place is clean, and the food really stands out as quite amazing, the prices are also very low, for room and food. Just tell the owner you would want a breakfast and you will be served one first thing in the morning. The ladies are also super nice and very hospitable to the foreign turists.

The room is in line with the price, some simple but very clean. The boss and the waiter are very warm and the service is in place. The dishes are also delicious and the children like it very much. The only thing that makes people uncomfortable is that they didn't say that they would charge when they helped send the ticket gate. I heard the proprietress say that after breakfast, I helped send the ticket gate of the Great Wall. After climbing the Great Wall, I asked me to call again. They came to pick it up. If they didn't mention how much money, they defaulted to the free service. As a result, at checkout, each person was 10 yuan a way, and we received 80 yuan for a big and three small back and forth. If you tell us in advance that this is a fee service will be better, we can have our own choice whether to accept this service. I should also ask if it is free first.

This is my second time staying at this hotel, and the environment is as quiet and beautiful as ever. The facilities are complete, the rooms are clean and hygienic, and the breakfast offers a rich and delicious variety. The staff are also incredibly warm and attentive. Location is unbeatable!! The hotel is right before the entrance gate to the Jinshanling Great Wall cable car station and trail heads. You can actually hike up to good view points on the Great Wall injust 30-40 minutes. The hotel is in good condition. The room is mostly clean and well maintained. The AC works well. Toilet has a weird smell but didn't bother me that much. Wish they provided conditioner (only shampoo and shower gel were in the bathroom). Restaurant has many options for Chinese dishes and so is the buffet breakfast. If I come back, definitely book it again for the excellent location.

The location is fantastic! It's right across from Jinlong Plaza, which was super convenient for dining and shopping. Plus, it's very close to the Summer Resort. However, the room itself was definitely nothing special. The bathroom had a strong drain smell, and the room felt quite damp. On the bright side, the front desk service was excellent. During my 3-night stay, I managed to visit the Summer Resort, the museum, Mini Potala Palace, Hammer Peak, and Jinshanling Great Wall. Overall, despite the room issues, I had a very good experience.
